My partner and I stayed here for a week on our first trip to Los Angeles. We struggled looking for a hotel as they were all situated on highways and seeing as we had a car they were wanting at least $30 a night to park the car. I stumbled upon this hidden gem on the vrbo website and we never looked back. This apartment was exactly as the description said it was, it was clean and cosy inside, it's location was perfect and it became our home away from home. It was walking distance to the local supermarket, cafes and restaurants, as well as being very close to walking/hiking tracks and to Santa Monica beach. The neighbourhood was extremely safe and had very friendly people which gave it a lovely feel. The owners were very helpful in answering our questions and they even provided the necessities like milk, bread, fruit and cereal upon our arrival which was lovely. As mentioned before, we had a car, but this propertys location would have still been ideal even if you did not have a car. We are definately coming back to stay at this property and I have already recommended it to my family and friends.

What a lovely stay! My husband wants to tell everyone in the family about this apartment. It's the perfect location for a visit to his sister, and it feels so much like home. The apartment was well equipped and quite comfortable. The owners were exceptionally kind; they stowed breakables and put out melamine plates to make our young daughters' stay more comfortable. We'll definitely be staying again!

My husband and I had some remodeling done to our place locally and this self contained apartment made us truly feel like home away from home. The layout is very comfortable and spacious with plenty of linens and handy washer/dryer right in the apt. In particular, we appreciated the privacy: we felt we were on our own at all times, the quiet neighborhood and convenient access to market, shops, etc., all at walking distance, and the pretty views from all windows and balcony. In addition, the owners are quite wonderful and resourceful. We couldn't recommend this jewel of a place more. In fact, we gladly extended our stay to three weeks.

Our family of 3, mum, dad, daughter stayed in this lovely apt last year and we enjoyed it so much, yes we came back again. Everything about this accommodation was just as good, if not better.We love the area, everything is so convenient. The apt is spotlessly clean and well appointed, its very bright and cheery.Shops/supermarkets are close by in the'Village' In recommending this apt, I can only say ..we hope to come back for a third visit soon.

My husband and I and our 13 yr old stayed at this apartment the last week of April 2011. We were visiting our older daughter who lives in Santa Monica. On past visits, we have stayed in hotel for approx. $200/night. Never again!!! This apartment was so comfortable and provided everything we needed (and then some). We were 5 minutes up the hill from our daughter's place and within walking distance to anything in Pacific Palisades. We loved hiking in Temescal Canyon, took daily walks to the bluffs overlooking the ocean. We also highly recommend the farmer's market held on Sunday mornings. Simple reservation process as well as check-in/check-out. We will absolutely rent this unit again.

We arrived for a brief visit on Mother's Day weekend to see our children and grandchildren and this condo was perfect for the occasion! It was so comfortable we wished we had booked a longer trip. Everything we needed was in walking distance including our grandson's baseball game and a wonderful May Day celebration in Temescal Canyon. The condo had a wonderful ocean breeze running through the living room and bedroom and we ate breakfast on a little balcony with a view looking out towards the ocean. We've definitely found the place to stay during family visits.

My husband and two young kids and I just got back from staying six nights in this lovely apartment, which we would highly recommend as a great place to call home-base during a trip to L.A., especially if most of your interests are on the Westside (Santa Monica, Malibu, West L.A.). But we also made trips to the San Fernando Valley and to Disneyland and were always so glad to have this charming, bright, comfortable place to come back to. The apartment is *very* well equipped, from washer/dryer to coffee maker and electric kettle to aloe vera for one's sunburned nose. And the owners thoughtfully provided some fruit, cookies, etc. for our arrival, which I thought was really nice. My husband and I have been renting VRBO properties for several years, and this is absolutely our best find yet. You can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, supermarket, great shops. We had a car but walked to the bus stop a couple of blocks away one day and took the bus to downtown Santa Monica easily. The patio area is lovely, as is the neighborhood. We already knew the area fairly well from having lived in L.A. years ago, but the owners were ready and willing to answer any questions we had about where to eat, how to get places, etc. Like I said, we really enjoyed this place!

My wife and I spent nine days at this lovely clean self contained appartment. The location is great for local dining in the many cafes and restaurants. The appartment is quiet and we were able to relax without interruption. Access to Santa Monica, Malibu, the Getty Museum was only 10 minutes away by car. I would recommend this appartment to anyone seeking a quiet and fully appointed alternative to a hotel in LA. A car is a must, and although parking is somewaht limited, we never failed to obtain street parking close by. The owner, Mary had provided all the necessities (food and wine) on arrival and there is a supermarket only 2 minutes down the lane, so we were never without the comforts of home. I would recommend this accommodation to professional and mature couples looking for peace and quiet who enjoy dining locally. Thanks and regards to Mary.

We spent a week in this picture-perfect apt, just outside of Santa Monica. Everything about this accommodation was wonderful from start to finish, not least the little touches that make a difference. Mary (our hostess) supplied everything necessary, washing detergent and other sundries and even left a welcoming gift of wine, fruit and cookies..so thoughtful! The photos supplied above do not do justice to the immaculate decor of the apt, yet it was so welcoming. The neighbourhood is lovely, quiet, but just steps from a "village"area with shops, market etc etc. We can't wait to return!
