  The purple house is very special! We have a a very large family and the house was large enough that we did not feel crowded or that you couldn't have personal space. We love the seclusion of Fort Morgan with such a large group it's hard to go out to eat so we did a lot of cooking.. The kitchen is so well equipped I felt like I was at home. My mother made home made biscuits and gravy everyday for us all and had everything she needed for such a large group. We used the two grills ...... The pool was priceless for the kids a great time was had by all thanks to such a fabulous rental !! Thank you so much for the cookes and the use of your house! No need too search for the perfect rental anymore we found it here at the purple house we will be back again and again!

  We just returned from our stay in "the big purple house" and can't say enough great things about our week. We had a group of adults, teens, and small kids. Everyone's needs were more than met. There was plenty of space, LOTS of bathrooms, equipment for the baby, everything you could possibly need for cooking, and best of all,,,,,,, great, close access to the beach. We have always stayed in the first row and wondered if second row would bother us. We didn't even notice the few extra feet. No road to cross, just a driveway and we were in the powdery sand. Jeannie called us a few times throughout the week to make sure everything was ok, we appreciated that personal touch and even got a tin of homemade cookies delivered to our doorstep. Great house, great owners, GREAT VACATION.

  Another great Thanksgiving at the beach in the best beach house ever!! The layout, decorations, furnishings are wonderful at the Purple House. We had lots of room to spread out and entertained 20+ folks here at Thanksgiving. The kitchen setup was great for cooking and laying out meals for a crowd. The living area is spacious and the deck has additional seating and beach viewing - both the bottom and top decks! For couch potatoes, there are tvs (nice flat screens) in every room for everyone's viewing pleasure. Our wonderful rental host, Jeannie, brought cookies and was very helpful. We have been before and will come back again and again. I love the off seasons - best time to come and easier to book.

  This trip was awesome. The Purple House was clean, well-maintained and any questions that I had the owner answered immediately. We stayed a week and wished we could have stayed a month. The pool was cleaned while we were there, the owner left a big tin of home-made cookies on the bar, and we found some of the biggest shells ever in the Alabama/Florida area! We will definitely stay again and will not hesitate to recommend this beautiful (inside and outside) house to friends. The colors inside were fantastic and if I had not been the assigner of rooms, there would have been some interesting discussions! While we were there we discovered a seafood restaurant in Robertsdale named 'The Magnolia Blossom' that had a wonderful seafood buffet on Friday nights. All you could eat for about $18-$20 each. Lamberts was also fun and had good food. If you are going to rent a house by owner (and we would highly recommend), you need to look at the Purple House in Fort Morgan, Alabama. As my daughter would say, "It is the bomb!"

  I rented the Purple House for my families yearly vacation. I must say that the pictures don't do this house justice. Jeannie and Ed maintain the property well and with all the amenities (cookware, dishes, icemaker, and pool toys, etc.) who would not feel as if they were still at home. The house is in a perfect location, not having to cross the street with small children was great. Just to be able to kick off your shoes and walk out the gate into sand was wonderful and then to be able to come back to the house and hit the pool was icing on the cake. This has been the best vacation we have had in a long time and will definitely return to the purple house when we return to the area again. I cannot thank you enough Jeannie for all the help you gave and for the delicious cookies. My son, niece, nephew enjoyed those alot as well as the adults. When we return to Ft. Morgan again you will definitely hear from me. Thanks again and God Bless you and your family.

  We stayed in the Purple House East for several days after Labor Day this year. The pictures and description listed simply don't do justice for this beautiful property! Everything we needed for a relaxing, comfy stay was right there and the area was incredibly peaceful. My husband, myself and our furry "kids" had the best vacation that we've ever had! Thanks, Jeannie, for being so friendly and helpful, can't wait for our trip down next year!! Planning our yearly trip to the beach is one of my favorite things to do and we will never again have to search for the perfect place to stay. You have vacation renters for life with us!

  We stayed at Purple house east with our group of 2 families (10 people). It was very spacious and well equipped with many extras like beach toys, grills, extra large ice maker, wine chilling cabinet. The pictures on the web site don't accurately represent how nice the house is. The beach is beautiful - clean, wide, fine white sand. Thanks Jeannie and Ed for the cookies and the great memories.

  I rented the east side of the Purple House for my family for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. It was a great place for us to enjoy spending some time together. The house is very comfortable and very well equipped. I would highly recommend staying in the Purple House!

  I just got back from staying in this house yesterday. My family and I rented the east side and the west side, and really enjoyed it. I stayed on the east side, and I LOVED the decorations. The walls were so pretty, and it felt like home. It was so perfect for our big family. Thanks so much!

  We just returned from a week at the Big Purple house and wish we were still there! The place is beautiful and so well equipted. They've thought of everything. The beach is peaceful and the fishing was great - what a wonderful get away - nice and quiet yet only 15 minutes from the sites and sounds of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. We highly recommend the house and beach - we'll be back!
