You are invited to share the comforts of our palatial home behind high stone walls in the quaint Mexican village of Ajijic. We are in central Ajijic, two blocks from the plaza and two blocks from the lake. Many art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants are within one to four blocks walking distance, with one of the most popular restaurants right across the street. The lovely weather in Ajijic motivates one to enjoy the convenience of walking and spending much of the day outside.
Because of the gently rising elevation, we have beautiful views of the lake and a soft prevailing breeze on the expansive verandas located on the lakeside face of our home. The lower veranda provides both dining and conversation areas, while the upper veranda is a very private lounging area. Three en-suite bedrooms upstairs, including a fireplace, a whirlpool tub, shower and cable television in the master bedroom. Downstairs there is a two-bedroom suite with bath that has a private sitting room with cable television. The kitchen is quite separate from the bedrooms, allowing for much privacy.
Our home was recently rebuilt, and provides all the comforts of an American residence, including a water-pressure system with purified water, which seems like a small thing until you don't have it. The other normal amenities of American life are available, such as solar-heated pool, broad-band internet with VOIP long-distance, satellite TV, and modern kitchen appliances. Off-street parking for up to four cars is also located on site. Full time maid and gardener are provided, along with a part-time bilingual handyman.
The Guadalajara International Airport is about 40 minutes away.
