Casa Verde is located 5 minutes north of historic Durango Colorado in the Animas Valley. From our front deck you can enjoy spectacular views of Durango's famous red cliffs and fourteen thousand foot peaks or watch as the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad travels north through the valley.
This split level family home has a spacious open floor plan, fully equipped kitchen, and dining area that is perfect for groups and gatherings. The upstairs living area invites you to relax in our reclining leather couches in front of a crackling fire or enjoy our large flat screen TV. Downstairs you will find a den/game room with more couches, a second TV with PS2, movies and games, a perfect space for kids and teens.
The spacious master suite is upstairs and has a beautiful king size aspen log bed, travertine two person shower, walk in closet, separate seating area and a small private deck. There are four well appointed bedrooms downstairs, three with queen beds and one with two twin beds. The middle bathroom has a recessed soaking tub in front of a picture window overlooking the back yard. The downstairs entrance has a large mudroom for wet gear and boots.
A deluxe seven person hot tub is out on the back deck. Durango Mountain Resort is only a 20 minute drive away and 5 minutes down the road is Trimble Hot Springs and Day Spa with an Olympic sized pool. There is ample parking in front for large vehicles.

Why the Owner Chose Durango
We like the rural feel of the Animas Valley and the closeness to town. The views of the red cliffs, the glider park and the Durango Silverton Train.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The Durango Silverton Train chug's up and down the valley every day, it is easily visible from the front deck and the children love watching it go by. The glider park is also across the valley and the glider planes often perform aerobatic maneuvers over this area of the valley as they prepare to land. This is a very private location with lots of parking. Early morning sun, and afternoon shade. A large back yard, irrigation ditch, fruit trees, and great views of the red cliffs, the train, and the glider park.
