Fantastic apartment in a wonderful location. This was our first experience in Edinburgh and in renting an apartment - both the city and apartment experience exceeded our expectations. Robin is a gracious owner who delivered what was promised - a well maintained, properly equipped, spacious apartment that worked beautifully for the 4 adults (2 couples) in our group. He provides valuable information regarding things to do and see as well as restaurant and pub information. In addition he was most helpful with our inquiries regarding the other sites in and around Edinburgh. We walked everywhere - the location is superb. Beautiful, centrally located yet quiet. We very much enjoyed the restaurant scene in Edinburgh - a fantastic Indian BYOB is right around the corner, Khushi's which we highly recommend. We also ate at Field's, Ondine and The Outsider - different experiences and all we would recommend. Lots to do and see - in addition to the obvious the Georgian House Tour is interesting as is the tour of Mary King's Close (a bit cheesy, but still interesting!) We highly recommend 3 Gayfield Square and Edinburgh! We weren't there long enough and hope to return one day soon.

What a great place to have a holiday. This beautiful cottage has the feel of home and everything you need. The location is spectacular, with great places to eat nearby. If ever we have the privilege to visit Edinburgh again, this is where we will hope to stay. Thank you, Robin!

Wonderful place to stay, centrally located and beautifully furnished. Excellent advice from Robin about local highlights. Very comfortable beds and superb kitchen. Nice personal touches and the welcome pack of breakfast items (arranged with Robin before we arrived) was much appreciated after a long trip because of snow delays. We would love to stay here again (in summer next time) and would highly recommend it. This is a special place, not just another holiday rental.

Lovely experience with this rental. The location was absolutely marvelous. Princes Street and Waverly Station are about a ten minute walk away, there's a cab stand less than two minutes away, and several restaurants and pubs are just around the corner. The house is on a very quiet street. The beds are marvelous - very comfortable and in December at least topped with luxurious feather comforters. Everything was very clean. The owner was exceptionally kind and responsive - our toaster wasn't working and he popped by with a new one right away. He provided instruction (written and verbal) for the appliances and fireplace, so we were comfortable and very well taken care of. I would want to stay here again, and I would highly recommend it to anyone I liked. Nearby restaurants are the Cafe Marylane which does a very nice breakfast and the Olive Branch which had one of the best dinners we had anywhere. Loved the Conan Doyle pub as well as the Shezan Indian restaurant. I did not want to leave.

Owner response: It was a pleasure having you staying with us and hope to see you again in the future! All best wishes,Robin.

My husband and I are Senior Citizens who travel a lot. Now it is hard for us to walk and climb stairs, sad but true. This house was perfect for us in that it is just steps away from a small French restaurant (but they have full Scottish breakfasts) and a very short distance from other places to eat and shop. A movie theater and Playhouse were a few minutes walk away. The house was very quiet and sleeping covered with warm feather quilts at night was a treat and necessary. Robin was there if we needed him.

Robin's little house is a charming property in a wonderful neighborhood full of great restaurants and bars. There's a local feeling to everything as opposed to a heavy tourist presence. Even so, the best of Edinburgh is within walking range - we walked everywhere. Robin is a great host and very accessible for questions and help. He was very gracious to our daughter when she arrived way before check-in time on our first day. Even though the cleaners were working in the house, Robin let her put all of her luggage in the property and then recommended a nearby coffee shop where she could relax until check-in. Very nice! All in all we had a wonderful time!

Stayed in this lovely home for several nights; couldn't have picked a better place. Close to everything, but on a quiet street. Owner was extremely helpful; would recommend this to anyone traveling to Edinburgh.

Everything about this apartment was perfect for our first visit to Edinburgh! We stayed approximately 3 weeks in Robin's properties, Ardmor House and Gayfield Square. Robin and Tracey were more than helpful in their care and concerns for our comfort and enjoyment during our time at Ardmor House. The Gayfield Square apartment has everything and more than we needed for our multi-generation family. The tiniest of details were dealt with promptly and professionally. Highly recommend either of these wonderful properties for a short or extend stay. We will always relay on Robin for our accommodations in Edinburgh! Cheers!!!!

For the last portion of our stay in Edinburgh we chose this flat/house, and chose wisely. Robin was at the house when we arrived and helped us get set up and oriented. It's located on a quiet street and has everything we needed, away from the hustle and bustle but still close to it all. My husband and I stayed there with my parents, was a nice space for two couples. If/when we are back in Edinburgh, we'd definitely stay here again.

We had an wonderful 7-day visit in Edinburgh the first week in May, and thoroughly enjoyed the flat! Maintains traditional charm, but with updated amenties. We stayed in Edinburgh, and also used it as a base for forays outside Edinburgh with a rental car. Hertz and Enterprise locations happen to be very close, and parking is manageable. The location is excellent: toward the top of Leith Walk, near the east end of Princes Street, and across from Royal Terrace leading up Calton Hill. It is a lovely park setting on Gayfield Square, quiet but central, with a lovely gated front garden at the front door. Never heard any of the neighbors. Three minutes walk to Broughton Street shops and pubs, and ten minutes walk up to the St Andrews Square end of George Street. Easy access to city buses along Leith Walk. The flat is charming and well-equipped, with two bedrooms and two full baths. It would comfortably accommodate two couples, although my wife and I had it to ourselves this visit. Nicely renovated kitchen with modern facilities, including a generous gas range with dual ovens, and a dishwasher. Washer and dryer. Demand hot-water heater and time-controlled heating. The flat was clean and well-maintained. Everything worked well, including the plumbing. Robin, the owner and manager, met with us once at the beginning of our stay, was very helpful with suggestions and information, and responded by phone later when we had a question on operating the heating. We would return to this flat next time we visit Edinburgh!

Of all the places I have stayed when in Edinburgh, this has been my favourite: confortable and stylish, spacious yet cozy, quiet and private. The location couldn´t be any better: it´s on a very quiet street in the New Town, very close to the centre. The apartment has everything you need if you don´t fancy going out, but if you do, the booklet with restaurants/bars/etc will get you to some fantastic places that you probably wouln´t get to as a tourist. Highly recommended!

Just back from a long weekend in Edinburgh where myself and my sister stayed in this lovely Georgian apartment which is located in New Town, an historic and beautiful part of Edinburgh, and only a ten minute walk into the centre. The apartment was a one double bedroom with high ceilings and furnished with some lovely design classics, and well equiopped with all necessities for your stay. It was spacious and warm and a great apartment to just lounge around in all day (imagine, we only saw the Edinburgh castle ... far far away) The owner was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Will be returning.

Fantastic apartment centrally located for Princes Street, Playhouse and fabulous cafes / wine bars / restaurants. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and furnished and finished to a high quality and is well equipped. Loved the red kitchen! If you are looking for a comfortable apartment convenient for everything yet in a peaceful location then this is the one for you!
