  This condo has magnificent views from both the living room and the bedroom. We watched the sunset on the lanai (balcony) and had dinner outside almost everynight and every morning. There is a beach right in front of the condo and 5 bbq grills with tiki torches. Beaches are everywhere, from walking distance to a 5 minute car ride to 30 minutes. The highway is 2 minutes away, but we always used the small road by the ocean. This condo is beach "equipped", beach chairs, beach parasols, coolers and ice pak. We loved Maui, we got up in the middle of the night to go to the crater, we went snorkling every day and saw turtles, eagle rays, and tons of fish. All the amenities are here, we loved it, couldn't ask for anything else.

  Stephen's condo was an excellent choice for our family. We've stayed at this complex before but preferred this location for it's view of the complex and the view of the ocean. The condo was supplied for all our needs and any questions were easily addressed by Stephen and/or the front desk.We love Maui and frequently travel around the island when we visit. The Kauhale Makai is centrally located for this purpose yet located close enough to the stores we use on a daily basis. We will definitely be back for all the reasons stated above but also because Stephen was pleasant, informative and extremely easy to work with in achieving our perfect holiday.

  This was a special trip to Maui. My fiance and I got married during our stay.(Makena Cove) We are both in our 60'sand dated in high school. Stephen's condo was the frosting on the cake for our special adventure.The condo was very neat and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is all the beach gear you need.The view is beautiful fro the lanai. This was a very quiet and relaxing place and beautifully decorated. It's location is convenient for any activity you may seek. Thank you Stephen for sharing your beautiful condo with us and making our wedding even more special Gary and Laura S

  We thoroughly enjoyed Stephen Roberts' condo! It was perfect - from everything we could possibly need to the great view from the lanai. The condo is a short drive from the airport and is located conveniently near a shopping area. We enjoyed the lanai very much. It was a comfortable place to do some reading and just enjoy the view. Stephen was great to rent from and he gave a lot of helpful information ahead of time. Our stay was too short and I hope we can return again sometime for a longer time. Hint: We took the drive to Hana one day. Stephen had suggested that if we were to do that we should consider staying at a bed & breakfast there to spend an extra day in Hana. We didn't follow up on that suggestion but it's a good suggestion and if we ever do that again, we'll be sure to take the advice.

  We stayed in this unit for two weeks in June 2012. The unit was tidy and well-equipped for the most part. Some of the utensils could use upgrading, and the coffee maker seems to have been original to the condo, lol, but overall, it was a great experience. Having the laundry just across the hall was very convenient. (The management office will make change for you.) Having an assigned parking stall was also nice, not having to search for a spot. We had one minor issue with a leaking faucet while we were there (could happen anywhere, even at home!), and the on-island contact took care of it right away, with little interruption to our day. We called, and then went to the pool. The extra-long lanai that ran the length of the condo was great, especially when part of it was shaded and we wanted to be outside – but needed to get out of the sun. The air conditioning is worth a mention. We like the heat, and with the tradewinds blowing most of the time we were there, we didn’t really need it. We mostly only used it at night and left the sliding doors open during the day – but it was nice to have, all the same. The photos provided are very accurate. The condo complex is not a 5-star resort property by any means, but the management and staff were all extremely friendly and the grounds were immaculately kept. Every morning, the BBQs were cleaned top to bottom. The pools were scooped multiple times a day. The gardeners were out every day, mowing, weed-eating, pruning, etc. Also, this is one of very few condo complexes in Kihei with a hot tub – which is a nice little bonus. Our two biggest complaints about the unit itself would be: lighting and the shower. When the sun went down, it got dark very quickly in the living and bedroom areas. This is in part because of the dark paint colours and partly because of the era of the building. There are no overhead lights in these two areas, so there is not much to be done about it short of more/brighter lamps. The other complaint is something that is easily remedied - the shower curtain rod needs to be lowered about 2-3 inches. Because it is so high, the liner does not reach the floor of the shower, so the whole bathroom gets wet every time you shower. But those two issues are minor compared to the value you get with this unit. The price is right, the location is great, and the owner was pleasant and helpful to work with, which goes a long way.

  What I loved most about this condo?........ Well even though I was in Hawaii, in perfect 75 degree weather, with beaches and pools and hot tubs right outside of my window, I chose to spend some of my days lounging inside the condo, listening to music on the excellent sound system, curled up reading a book on the cozy couch, or making beautiful meals with fresh Hawaiian produce in the fully equipped kitchen! This condo has all the luxuries of home and then some. It is elegantly decorated and has all the amenities you would hope for and even a few that you wouldn't think of (cooler for the beach, beach chairs, even snorkel gear!) And its extremely clean! I felt very at home and very happy while inside this condo. And outside isn't bad either. The pool and hot tub are lovely, the condo managers are very helpful, and the town of Kihei has a very sweet, local feel to it. Not too remote and not too touristy.   This was a great property to stay at in Maui. It was centrally located and near all the beaches, restaurants, shops. Right by the ocean we could walk down whenever we wanted which was nice and there was nothing to impede the views. Children loved the pool and we spent some of everyday down there. Building was great! Clean and well maintained we had no problem with noise and everything was exactly as it was described in the advertisement. The owner was very helpful and responding quickly to all our inquiries. I would definitly recommend this property to all my friends. We had a great time and wish we were still there.

  This is one of the best condos that we have rented in Maui. There were many extras that we did not expect. (coffee for the first morning was awesome) The condo was extremely clean when we arrived. The grounds as always are very well kept and the staff are extremely helpful. Just a note about the condo owner. We had decided on this trip at the very last minuet and Stephen did all he could to make sure we had a great vacation and everything went smoothly. I would return again and would refer this condo to all my friends.

  We spent 10 days on Maui and in this amazing condo overlooking the ocean. Right when you walk in, it just feels comfy, clean, spacious and inviting. My husband and I would highly recommend this condo, it has a wonderful lanai with tables and chairs. You are overlooking the pool and BBQ, which is really nice as well. It is decorated very nice and the elevator and washer and dryer are very close to you. That is nice when you have laundry to do. We will definitely will be coming back and staying at this condo. The owner is very nice to deal with, gets back to you in a timely manner. Thanks again, The Salenger's
