Why the Owner Chose Intermountain
I fell in love with the house because it is on the creek and surrounded by beautiful old trees. Our street dead ends so there is not a lot of traffic and if you want to be off the beaten path, then Intermountain is the place, yet it is close to the stores and restaurants, parks and bike path. I love cultural diversity here which attracts talents from all over the world in the musical, visual, culinary arts and of course winter sports. The bravo series (July) is good food for the soul, as well as the dance festival (August), just to name a few. There is always something fun and interesting, going on....and the winters.............. the skiing is amazing. never bored!
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet

Nathalie wants your stay to be comfortable and ours was. Plenty of room for 4. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking breakfast and dinner. The tempurpedic mattresses on the beds were a treat. The ipod dock let us have our music with us. We took advantage of a massage and it was delightful - and, located just up the stairs from the apartment. The wood burning stove came in handy during the evening. The unit is very clean and everything was well maintained. A very cozy unit for a good price. We will return.

We had the best vacation ever! We fell in love with that place the moment we stepped in. The location is perfect, the apartment a cozy retreat with everyhting you need and the host an inspiration. Nathalie's massage was amazing, her apple cake delicious. We will come back for sure and would recommend this property anytime. We saw the first snow of the season and were amazed by the changing colours of the trees. We still keep talking about our vacation and how home we felt at this secret retreat. Thanks Nathalie!

We felt very welcome in quaint place on the river. The babbling water was an amazing sound after a long day on the road bike. The location couldn't have been better for us. Grocery stores were not far from the unit. Bike routes and trails were easy to get on from the unit (3 out of 4 days of cycling in the mountains we left on our bikes from the unit). The owner is extremely kind and helpful. She also provided clear communication when reserving the unit. I would recommend the unit to any of my family and friends visiting Vail. If you are staying here, I would recommend eating breakfast at least once at The Little Diner at Lion's Head. We were warned that on a nice weather day there would be a line though.

LeRefuge was just what the doctor ordered! I had been looking for a get away and I couldn't have been more pleased with what I found. Nathalie is an absolute gem and a jack of all trades. My friend and I stayed with her for 3 days and wish we could have stayed for 3 weeks. Nathalie cooked all organic meals for us, lead us on a daily journey through yoga and meditation and catered to all of our needs. I will be going back and this time I will stay for longer. LeRefuge is moutainside in Vail and overlooks a beautiful river and set amongst many large trees. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. Thank YOU, Nathalie, for everything!
Owner response:love the title ! ;)

Our time at Nathalie's apartment was an incredibly relaxing and comfortable stay. The apartment is sparkling clean with all the comforts of home. Straight away we felt comfortable and were invited to treat the space as our own by our warm host, Nathalie. The view of the snow covered stream from the patio was picture perfect. We were in Vail mainly to ski and a free and regular bus into Vail village is literally around the corner from the apartment, saving us $25.00 a day in parking. We also did some yoga and cooking with Nat and both were superb!! This is a wonderful place for a holiday and I can't recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be back.

Marianna and I thoroughly enjoyed our all too short stay. The apt is very clean, comfortable and fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. It was relaxing to sit out on the patio, watch the snow fall and listen to Gore Creek as it tumbled over the rocks just a few feet away. The wood stove adds great atmosphere and the book and video library offers a selection for everyones taste. The Vail bus is quite close and can get you anywhere without having to worry about downtown parking. After a day of snowshoeing Marianna took advantage of Nathalie's services as a massage therapist to unwind after her exertions. She said it was wonderful! As a bonus we were able to sample some of Nathalie's baking with some fresh "Tarte Tatin"- yum. We are looking forward to heading back this summer.

Located in West Vail, close to the slopes, this comfortable house is the ideal place for a relaxing vacation - skiing is amazing in the winter, and hiking/biking paths abound in the summer. The 2BR also has a full sized kitchen for those that like to hole up and cook, and the supermarket is right around the corner. Nathalie, the owner, is a gracious and attentive hostess, and will make sure that your stay is as fun and relaxing as possible. This place is a well kept secret - I would definitely come back!

Arriving at 1AM could not have been convenient for Nathalie, but she received us with open arms and a hot bowl of soup. Her place is very warm and chic with all the extras you would expect of a bed and breakfast. Nathalie checked in on us often but was never intrusive. This rental felt like staying with family....never have I felt so at home and comfortable. LeRefuge is clearly a bargain of a rental which we will frequent often in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely rental in Vail.

It is difficult to find flaws during our stay at this retreat. The home, setting, and host were all nothing short of extraordinary. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great get-a-way. Whether you are on vacation with friends, family, or a significant other this retreat will suit you well. Along with that intangible "home" feeling that this house radiates with, the host makes sure that you are well taken care of. If I could I'd keep this place a secret.
Owner response:As invited as the property may look for pets, the house is not suitable for these lovely beings.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.
