Beautifull cottage on Lake Lemon overlooking picturesque Brown County where the charming town of Nashville,IN is located. There are many small towns in the area worth a visit. We are also close to local wineries. Bloomington is within 15 to 20 minutes away.
IU maintains a facility on the lake for their rowing team as well as yachts. In the spring Purple Martins visit. There are bald eagles in the hills year round, and come fall the changing colors are incredible.
The property itself is roughly 1200 square feet, with an open kitchen/family room, one bedroom downstairs and a huge open loft upstairs, every window in the cottage has a great view.

I came from the area and when my husband and I went to visit family after we got married he fell in love with the area also. We live and work in Houston so we decided to buy the property to have a little piece of Brown County.

Great Place to Stay for Parents Weekend

We had a wonderful stay over Parents Weekend in October 2011 with our daughter and IU freshman. Just a 15 minute drive to the heart of the Indiana University campus it was great to have a place to stay away from the crowds. The pictures don't really do the cottage justice. It is immaculate & beautiful with a wonderful lake view and plenty of room for a family of four.The kitchen is well equipped, you only need to bring food. If you want to spend quality time with your student, go to a game and then bring them back here for a home cooked meal and time together. We're sure to return.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

My daughter and I thought that the cottage and its location were perfect. A very relaxing weekend. Can't recommend Jean's cottage and her support highly enough.
