Mason Street Suites is located downtown in the quaint New England-style city of Saugatuck, Michigan. We are halfway between Detroit and Chicago and are rated #8 in the nation for art galleries, and Traveler Magazine rated our beach in the top 25 in the nation.

We have three separate, private suites and a cottage for two. You may rent the entire house and the cottage and it will sleep 16 comfortably. Our suites are themed.

Step into the mystery of the Orient in our Orient Express Suite #1 with two bedrooms with queen-size beds (one bedroom also has a two person whirlpool tub), a living room with fireplace, queen-size sleeper sofa, kitchenette, three season front porch, and full bath.

Or, picture yourself surrounded by tigers and leopards in our African Safari Suite #2 which has a bedroom with queen-size bed and fireplace and queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room, full bath, and full kitchen.

Our upper Celestial Suite #3 has stars and moons all around, a bedroom with queen-size bed, sleeper sofa in living room with fireplace, kitchenette, and full bath.

Or enjoy your own private deck with hot tub in our Lightkeeper's Cottage. Climb a ladder to the loft bedroom with queen-size bed and it has a living room with a kitchenette and full bath.

There is a deck for all to enjoy with BBQ and umbrella seating, bicycles are provided, and we have a full video library for you to enjoy along with you own TV with cable programming in each suite.

We are just a one-block walk to all the fun of gallery hopping (over 35 galleries and many local artists have studios where you can watch them), waterfront activities, restaurants, and many quaint shops open year around.

The beach is just five minutes away and you can get there by a chain ferry across the lake or drive there. Go for a paddlewheel boat ride or a sail or charter a fishing boat for a day. Go dune buggy riding or hiking the dunes all around us.

The Red Barn Theater provides weekly summer plays along with most bars and restaurants that have live music every weekend. You will be just a short ride to Holland, Michigan (12 minutes) and South Haven (20 minutes) for more shops, restaurants, beaches, and more, or go across the river to Douglas, Michigan for another cute community of shops, galleries, and restaurants. We are centrally located for you to enjoy everything that Lake Michigan may have to offer.

In the winter, Saugatuck quiets down a bit. Most shops and restaurants stay open year around and some until January and reopen again in March. You can enjoy cross-country skiing all around us, downhill skiing about 40 minutes from here, snowmobiling, over a million Christmas lights, carriage rides, and movies by the fireplace in your own suite.
