At the gateway to Wailea, this luxury oceanfront unit, #607, is located on the top floor of the Kihei Surfside Resort with sweeping views of the ocean and the islands of Molokini, Kaho'olawe, Lanai and the West Maui mountains. It was completely renovated and refurnished in August, 2007 with rattan furnishings, cherry cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and tile and laminate floors.
The living room has a queen sofabed, a flatscreen TV with DVD and a stereo with an IPod port. There is free internet access and long distance calling to Mainland U.S. and Canada. A fully mirrored wall in the living/dining room gives ocean views from any vantage point in the area. The bedroom has a queen bed with a TV/VCR, telephone and a safe for valuables. Both the living room and the bedroom have multi-speed ceiling fans. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. All necessary utensils are provided, as well as Hawaiian motif dishes. All linens are included. Beach accessories are provided including umbrella and beach chairs. Laundry facilities are located on the first floor of the building. The building commom walkways were refurbished in May, 2008.
The Surfside is situated on an acre of manicured lawn with a heated pool for guests and a gas barbeque and tables on the ocean. Wailea and Keawakapu beach, rated one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, are just steps away. Croquet sets are also available for guests. Chairs and lounges are provided for use on the lawn and at poolside. In the winter months, there are frequent whale sightings from this property. The Pacific Whale Foundation uses this area to count whales annually. Guests often gather in the evening to watch the sunset ceremony and to meet other vacationers, as the tiki torches provide a beautiful Hawaiian atmosphere.
The Kahului airport is approximately 25 minutes away. Both the airport and Kihei have many options for car rentals. Costco and the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center are just outside the airport. Kihei also has Safeway, Star Market and Foodland for groceries. There is alo a small general store/deli on the property adjacent to the Surfside.
The Wailea area has many world class golf courses and for those who like upscale shopping, there are THE SHOPS AT WAILEA. Both Kihei and Wailea have many fine restaurants from which to choose. Windsurfing, snorkeling and surfing are favorite activities for many visitors.
So, come and relax at the Kihei Surfside, unit #607, where the views are spectacular, the weather is the best on Maui and the beach is one of the most beautiful you will ever see.

Our first trip to Maui was perfect thanks to our beautiful accommodations. The owner is wonderful to work with and the description and photos of the condo are accurate, except the photos of the view from the lanai. It's better! The location is great; centrally located making it easy to check out the entire island, beautiful beach right outside your door, equipment rental next door at the Surf Shack, and numerous restaurants close by. I highly recommend this unit and would stay here again. The staff at the Surfside were great, there is a real sense of community at the property that makes you feel very welcome. The owner makes booking this condo a breeze and the pics and description are right on point. This condo is beautifully appointed and has everything you'll need, from a fully stocked kitchen to beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels and a bogey board. And the views are Incredible! The location offers easy access to the best beaches in Maui, and is just a few minutes away from the Wailea Golf and Tennis Clubs. Shopping Mall and 5 Star resorts. Snorkel with the turtles and marine life, play on the beach or explore the surrounding area, and then enjoy the nightly entertainment that's close by. We'd recommend happy hour at the 5 Palms next door, Mama's Fish House, Joe's on the Golf Course, the Paia Town's Fish Market and Snorkel Bob's for recreational gear. Leave the resorts behind and go and explore Maui, from Ioa Canyon to Lanai, there's some much to experience. My wife and I recommend it!

My Husband and I recently stayed here and it was beautiful, especially for the price! The view was amazing! Everything was updated and remodeled. The porch screen was nice b/c it opened from 2 sides which extended the living space. We walked to Kihei and Keawakapu Beach to Wailea several times. We saw numerous fish and Sea Turtles while snorkeling at the beach in front of Kihei Surfside. We used the Bocce Ball set (available at the office) almost every morning. The grounds are kept up very well. We will be staying here again!

My Wife and I stayed in the condo for ten days. The location is perfect. The view of the ocean and the sound of the waves can be seen and heard from the condo. The condo is all updated with granite counters and hardwood floors. The managers at the Surfside were very nice and helpful. `We will be staying there in the future.

Over the years we've stayed in maybe 8 different units at the Surfside, this is by far the most comfortable and luxurious so far! Beautiful colors used in decorating, gorgeous 6th floor views, comfortable bed, all needed items in the kitchen as well as for entertainment and beachgoing and even huge absorbent beach towels, actually big enough to lie down on if you get tired of sitting in the beach chairs provided. I can sit on the balcony all day looking for (and seeing) turtles and in the winter, whales are easily visible even without binoculars. But wait-there's also the pool, the chaise lounges on the grass, the quick (really quick!) walk to Keawakapu Beach,snorkeling off the rocks, the conch ceremony every night and the tiki torches showing off the palm silhouettes in the dark. Clean and beautifully maintained, helpful and thorough owner response. Highly recommended.

This condo was absolutely amazing!!! The location is perfect for doing lots of activities, especially swimming with the Sea Turtles & scuba diving. The condo was spotless when we arrived with an amazing kitchen and comfortable bed. The views were breathtaking at any time of day and the other occupants of the condo were very respecful of the quiet hours given by the resort. The grassy area is a perfect place to park yourself for the day and enjoy the sun with a good book. If you are looking for more activities there are many places in the town that offer such experiences or you can head down the road and do some amazing shopping. This condo was just like staying at a hotel, but better.
