What a delightful property - Hawk's View Chalet is a 4 bedroom, 3 full bath "chalet style" home on 3 beautifully & naturally landscaped acres, with creek, mountain views, flat grassy yard and a private outdoor swimming pool AND HOT TUB. All in a location with easy access that just can't be beat! 6 miles to Asheville City limits, located just minutes to the the delightful & artsy little walking town of Weaverville, easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway - just 4 miles away via scenic Ox Creek Road to Bull Gap (approximately BRP mm 375 - a few miles north of the Folk Art Center and a few miles south of the Craggy Garden Visitor Center). Reems Creek Golf Course and Vance Birthplace are just minutes down the road. The Biltmore Estate is conveniently located in Asheville (along with fantastic dining, music & shopping) and skiing is nearby in lovely Wolf Ridge about 25 miles to the north.
Besides enjoying the wonderful chalet with many added amenities, the private grounds capture the wonderful mountain spirit of Western North Carolina. Enjoy the creek with cute little "Screen Play House" that sits over the babbling brook, stroll, picnic, play horseshoes or badminton around the wonderfully private landscaped yard. Lovely mountain views will inspire you. And if that's not enough, take a swim in the private pool out back (usually open May through September - inquire about pool openings & closings). Or dip into the Hot Tub, open year round, right on the back deck.
The many amenities include all linens, washer/dryer, gas fireplace, cable TV, WIFI access, decks, charcoal grill, full amenity kitchen, views and privacy! The "poolside" master bedroom is on the main living level. French doors open to outside decking with views of the backyard & pool. There is a full and private bath with large soaking tub, separate shower & double sinks. This two room Suite is appointed with a king bed and double bed. There are two other bedrooms on the main level, both with Queen beds. A large hall bath with laundry room is also on the main level. The fourth bedroom, "The Loft Retreat" is privately located upstairs. There is a Queen bedroom and full private bath on this level. For full privacy, the bedroom is accessed through a doorway off of the open loft overlooking the main living area - with expansive cathedral windows to beautiful mountain views. The kitchen with open dining area is well appointed with an island sink, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, and plenty of cooking amenities & dishware.

- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): The house may be accessed via the back deck with one small step up onto the deck. Two bedrooms open to the back deck. One of the downstairs baths has an "extra wide shower with "low lip". It is by no means ADA compliant, but is a fairly easy house to manage. The Loft Retreat is upstairs and is not handicapped accessible or friendly.
- Kid Friendly: Children are welcome. The park-like grounds are wonderful for families with children of all ages. Enjoy the playhouse at the creek, horseshoes in the front yard, fire circle by the garage, hot tub and of course, in season, the pool out back is a real treat for kids.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: 21 & older only - See our Rental Agreement for details. Absolutely no house parties, school groups of any kind, even if chaperoned by an adult. Violations of this requirement will be evicted immediately
- Smoking Not Allowed: Wonderful decks and many doors to the outside provide ideal outdoor smoking space. PLEASE pick up all butts.

Why the Owner Chose Asheville
We ourselves love to stay at Hawk's View when it is not rented and do so often! In the fall, the leaves are brilliant & the views lovely - with mist from Reems Creek always mixing in! In winter we love the setting and ease of getting to and from this property, even in snow! Spring, the naturally landscaped yard shows off an array of beautiful flowers including Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron and Dogwood blooms. In summer the pool and yard are such a treat! And the hot tub is great year round. And, always a view and a creek!
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet
Horseshoes in the front yard, sunny days in the swimming pool, camp fires at the firepit (with marshmellows!), hot tub, bicycling (well, it's a very difficult ride but if you want hill climbing experience, this spur road is a must do!) up Ox Creek to the Blue Ridge Parkway - or driving this fun and scenic road - to Bull Gap at MPM 375 on the Parkway.... where there are great hiking & walking trails, Golf at Reems Creek Golf Course (affordable, too!), 4th of July celebration in Weaverville, shopping in Preservation Hall in Weaverville, dinner at Stoney Knob Cafe, lunch & Coffee at Well Bred Bakery & Cafe in Weaverville, quick access to Asheville, Biltmore Estate, shopping, dining & fantastic night life (check out the Orange Peel for concerts, come to the South East's largest Street Festival for amazing FREE music. Byron & Mary Bridges are the owners of the management company, Vacation In Asheville (VIA-NC), for the properties, Oakland Cottage B&B, The Historic Brigman House & BreakAway Cabin, Asheville Mountain Vista, Avondale Ridge and Hawk's View Chalet.
Both Mary & Byron were raised in North Carolina and in their "younger days" were avid outdoor enthusiasts, working for several local outdoor companies, such as Nantahala Outdoor Center, North Carolina Outbound School and Eagles Nest Foundation (Mary still serves on the Board) - all organizations based out of the Mountains of North Carolina. This early work left them with knowledge of and love for the outdoors of Western NC. Later in life (once some reality about work set in), the two founded, owned & operated a Leadership Development Company, which is still in operation today. Through this work they developed and led leadership seminars & management programs all over the world. Not only have they experienced a great deal of travel themselves – and know what it feels like to be travelers - they ironically have very little need or desire to travel much anymore, preferring to stay right at home in fun, funky & beautiful Asheville, NC. More recently, The Bridges adopted a child from Russia,- another reason the extensive travel just became too much, and probably why VIA-NC remains focused on family friendliness.
The Bridges' extensive travels worldwide, intensive “people work,” entrepreneurial spirit and values around family have led them to where they are today; VIA-NC - Oakland Cottage Bed and Breakfast & Vacation Rentals - is a perfect fit.
