This Condo is probably the best two bedroom condo with the greatest views we have ever stayed. Everything is exactly like the information states plus somethings like the view can only be appreciated by being there. The owners where wonderful making sure the time you spend there will be a memory that you will never forget. We really appreciated their willingness to make our stay in Hawaii special. You could spend all your time at the condo and never get tired of looking at the all the activities going on from the unit. The whole complex is maintained to the highest standard and we would give this Condo and complex our higest recommendation. There is no end of things to do and things to see on the Big Island. We had a wonderful time in this very tastefully decorated and convenient condo. Our hosts were helpful and gracious. While the weather was not always perfect we still had a wonderful time with easy access to town and to great beaches.

We stayed for 10 nights beginning 11/23. The condo was immaculate and beautifully furnished. The view was absolutely outstanding! The location is excellent and less than 4 miles from our favorite Kona snorkeling beach. I loved that the unit was on the ground floor so I didn't need to worry about my arthritic knees. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone and everyone and we hope to be able to return soon.

We just returned from a great stay at this condo. It was very clean, updated, spetacular ocean and city views, close to shops and great eating restaurants. Owners were there and most gracious and helpful with tips for dining and sightseeing. They have done a wonderful job furnishing and decorating this unit. The pictures are spot on accurate. We are anxious to return and again stay in this unit and would highly recommend it to our friends, relatives and anyone wanting to have a wonderful stay.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Stayed in this unit for 10 days starting 10/18/2010 - should have booked for longer. Have stayed at Alii Villas many times in the last 30+ years...wonderful complex, very well maintained, and this unit is just about the best. Many fine upgrades, wonderful location overlooking the bay, and very comfortable and relaxing. Many places to go and things to do on the Big Island; good restaurants and shopping. Will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just returned from a week in Kona, staying at this beautiful condo. It was even better than we anticipated. The location is great.... just an easy 20 minute walk into Kona village or 3 minute drive. The condo itself was so pretty and comfortable. We bought fresh, tropical fruit from the local farmer's market almost every day and fresh fish so ended up cooking a lot. As I stood in the kitchen and looked out at the lanai, I could have convinced myself I was on a cruise ship; the ocean was so close! We left the doors open every night and fell asleep to the sound of the surf on black lava rock. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever taken and we would definately want to rent this exact unit again.

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We stayed in the Ward's condo early Dec. 09 with another couple and absolutely loved it! It always makes me nervous going only by online descriptions and photos, but the property, the unit and most of all, the owners, exceeded our expectations, which were very high. The unit was spotless, the correspondence and business side with the owners was timely and thorough, and everything in the unit was as nice as the pictures show- they've done an upscale remodeling of the unit, which was always quiet. It was very well furnished, including hi speed internet (most appreciated for google-ing Big Island places and attractions, and to be able to Skype folks in Canada- saved all those cell phone roaming charges). It even had a new big screen TV, which was fabulous for looking at the photos we took while there. The unit's lanai looks straight back to the village over the ocean and is shaded at all times, and all meals were eaten there on the beautiful deck chairs (zzzzzz). We watched tour boats, dolphins, and parasailers daily from the gorgeous view. The huge walk in master shower in the over sized tiled bathroom, was most elegant, and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves- well... The property grounds are also meticulously maintained and beautiful. Great snorkeling right in front of the unit when the surf is quiet, and you can park your car right at the front door- no stairs- save your energy for the 10 million things to do on the Big Island. Highly recommended, and the Wards treated us like royalty.

This unit is the nicest we have ever stayed in anywhere in the state of Hawaii. We spent 2 great weeks. The condo is updated beautifully. It is fully furnished with anything you would need. The location is unbeatable. You can sit on the lanai and watch the ocean all day long. The pool is great for sun. Being right on the water is fantastic. The owners live next door and are wonderful in providing ideas of where to go, where to eat, what to see on the island, but maintain your privacy as well. Would go again and stay there in a heartbeat.

Linda and Jim Wards condo is just perfect and we loved every bit of it! We only got to stay there 8 days in February. Very clean, every amenity you need,wonderful view, and you couldn't ask for nicer people to rent from. We love this unit. We have been staying at Alii Villas for the past 30 years and have stayed here many times. The unit has been updated and has all the amenities that you are looking for in an ocean front unit. The view from the Lanai is spectacular! We especially like the fact that its within waling distance into town. Its very clean and well stocked with all you need if you want to eat in.

We stayed in this unit from Nov 15 to Dec.4 2008 and had a wonderful time. The condo is neat, clean, well equipped, and in excellent condition. The view of the harbour from the lanai has to be one of the best in the development. There is always something going on in the water, such as dolphins jumping, people snorkelling, cruise boats taking people ashore , parasailing, the tourist submarine surfacing etc. The swimming pool, barbecue area and grounds are beautifully landscaped and well kept. There are sunny and shady areas. The sunsets over the water are gorgeous. With the doors open, there always seemed to be a breeze through the unit. It is a short walk to town with good restaurants, a fresh market and stores. The owners are very helpful in providing information about places to see, trips to take, and where to eat. We had a very enjoyable time and look forward to returning in the future.
