Enter this spacious first-floor apartment and you immediately feel 'at home' and secure in your own pied-a terre, located in the center of Abbesses, the most charming section of Montmartre.
The large but cozy salon is illuminated by 4 double-glazed windows looking down on the cobblestones of rue de la Vieuville.
Parquet flooring, new furnishings and decorations as well as top quality equipment make you feel that you have checked-in to a luxury suite in a 5-star Paris hotel. Only the porter and room-service is missing!
The long salon is divided into 3 distinct areas.
On your left, there is a sitting area with an 82 cm liquid screen TV with DVD player and a CD Stereo- the latter two are discretely hidden in the cupboards below the television.
The large, comfortable sofa easily converts to a double sized pull-out bed to sleep 2 additional guests if needed.
There is an elegant new dining table which easily accommodates 6 people, and can be expanded for 8.
Although the table is newly made, it has been done in a classic style to mix well with the decor of both old and new.
The central space between the living area and dining area has a lovely writing desk where you could compose postcards or set up your laptop computer for internet use.
Above the entertainment center is an assortment of book and magazines about Paris as well as France.
We have left a comprehensive binder of information for your use that contains copies of the metro plan, local maps and guide book information to Montmartre, and museums of France, etc.
The main bedroom is to your left from the entrance off the sitting room.
It features 2 twin beds which can be joined together to make a large, King sized bed.
There is also an en-suite with a shower and toilet.
With 2 windows looking into the courtyard, and the addition of electric shutters, it is very quiet and comfortable.
The charming 2nd bedroom is at the other end of the salon, with a double insulated window overlooking the street.
The Queen bed in this room sleeps 2 comfortably, and there is a large amount of space in the floor-to-ceiling mirrored closet to store your belongings.
Opposite is the main bathroom which has a bathtub plus fitted shower, toilet, wash-basin and a combination washer-dryer should you want to do any laundry. There is also a towel warmer to take the chill off of a cool morning.
The Kitchen has everything you could need for your time in Paris, except for a live-in cook and maid. It is set up ergonomically with all the required equipment for you to make a quick café or a gourmet dinner for 8.
The large cupboard contains cleaning materials and a full assortment of tools and indispensable bits and pieces. |
