Welcome to my weekend retreat! As this home is primarily for personal use, I’ve spared no expense in creating a warm and cozy get-away. Simply stated, this home is immaculate!
This three-bedroom two-bath home has a fully appointed kitchen and all new beds, furnishings, and soft goods. The knotty pine vaulted ceiling and slate fireplace set the tone for your relaxing vacation. So curl up by the fire with a good book or enjoy the many amenities that Tahoe Donner and the area have to offer.
After a day on the nearby ski slopes, relax on the rear deck in the seven-person hot tub, complete with waterfall, variable lighting, and enough foot jets for everyone. Soak in the great views of Mt. Rose right from the hot tub!
In the summer, enjoy an evening meal or beverage on the rear deck. Furnished in 2008 with brand new top-of-the line hardwood dining table (seats 8+), two new outdoor sofas and matching coffee table, and chase lounge.
From the front deck, you’ll enjoy the view of Northstar, while barbequing on the four-burner stainless steel grill. If it’s too cold to grill, you’ll love the views from the floor-to-ceiling kitchen and dining room windows. The kitchen is fully appointed and the dining table seats 10 comfortably.
Other amenities include a built-in gas fireplace, surround-sound stereo system, two cable televisions and DVD players, video library, and new high-capacity washer and dryer. In the two-car garage, you’ll find plenty of snow-play toys for the kids. You’ll appreciate the level driveway in the winter, which also provides plenty of off-street parking.
Returning guests will be happy to know that the remodel of the Master Bedroom and Bath is now complete - as promised! The wall-to-wall shower is finished out with floor-to-ceiling natural slate and you'll love the built-in bench and rain can. During the winter, your feet will appreciate the heated floor. New sliding glass doors provide a great view to the deck and open space behind the house. Watch the deer consume all of my new landscaping without leaving your bed(!$@#$)
Aside from all of the windows, the little touches are what set this house apart from other rental homes. 500 thread count sheets. Natural down comforters for the beds. Eight sets of brand new towel sets. The cupboards are fully stocked with spices, sauces, baking and cooking supplies. The list goes on...
ABOUT TAHOE DONNER:
My home is located in the members-only Tahoe Donner resort community. With the provided guest passes, you can take advantage of the numerous amenities available to Tahoe Donner’s members and guests. If you’re into water sports, you’ll enjoy the private beach at Donner Lake, including free beach loungers, boat launch, boat rentals, and snack bar. There are two mountain recreation centers in the community that include three heated swimming pools (one open year-round), three large outdoor hot tubs, dry sauna, wet sauna, play areas, basketball court, locker rooms, weight room, aerobics rooms, and message therapy.
Other Tahoe Donner amenities include a gourmet restaurant, bar, and clubhouse; extensive hiking trails; 18-hole championship golf course and driving range; lighted tennis center with clubhouse and 11 courts; equestrian center with horse and pony rides; downhill and cross country ski areas; sledding and snow play area; bocce ball courts; and archery range.
Tahoe Donner is approximately 15 minutes from Squaw Valley, Sugar Bowl, Alpine Meadows, Northstar and world-class ski resorts. Almost any shop or restaurant that you will need is located within one mile of the entrance to Tahoe Donner. Charming old town Truckee, with its many fine restaurants, boutiques, and galleries is just four miles away. Lake Tahoe is just 15 miles away and Reno is 30 miles away. |
