Would strongley recommend reading/reviewing the Galena Territory Information Book upon Arriving at the home, then a trip to the Territory Owners club house for parking passes and a quick tour of the facility. The Owners marina/beach facility offers both "John" motorized as well as pontoon boats for fishing at nominal rates. Golf courses are on-site as well as many local courses within a short drive time. Galena and Dubuque are close by for sight seeing. Our stay was extermely pleasurable and relaxing, we would highly recommend for families looking for a Great Time.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed here for the week.. There were 12 of us that stayed in the house. The house is beautiful, the views amazing. There are just a couple things that could be addressed, there are only 2 TV's in the whole house one in an upstairs bedroom and one in the lower level. There are sky lights in 2 of the bedrooms with no window treatments, so the sun shining in made the rooms hot. The kitchen was very spacious, nice big windows for great views, but also no window treatments, so it got very hot in there.. We went downtown Galena and did shopping, we went blueberry picking. We've stayed at this house - 9 adults and 4 toddlers and I have to say it fit us very comfortably (we brought playpens for toddlers to sleep in, although one of the bedrooms had 2 queen beds in it). Loved the fact that the smallest beds were Queen size in the entire house. Very nice family room downstairs with a large LCD TV and DVD Player. Plenty of bathrooms, large kitchen and table, excellent deck for kids to run around and play for hours, just don't forget the sunblock lotion because it does get sunny on that side. The vista from the deck was breathtaking, the whole area around it is very very scenic. Deck has a few outside chairs and chaises to relax on. The house was very clean in superb shape, everything felt very new. Jacuzzi was large, nice and clean and pool passes provided for us, which excellent pool at the Owners' Club being about 10 minutes drive from the house. Overall great experience, kids enjoyed it and I have to give props to the owner for being extremely accommodating for us in all aspects, thanks Barry! All in all - highly recommend it for multi-family getaway.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Overall we are very happy with the conditions, amenities, and the number of things our four teenage children could do. The property itself is spacious and was in great condition when we arrived. Kitchen, bathrooms, and generally, the whole house was well kept. The house is surrounded by beautiful scenery and we were able to enjoy what spring and the surrounding area had to offer. Internet connection also enabled me to keep afloat of work. Our stay was pleasurable and relaxing, and would definitely recommend to families and friends looking for a quick get-away.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I was very happy, overall, with this home. My family lives spread out throughout the country and into Canada so it was a perfect place for all eleven of us to come together and stay in one place for vacation. The activities available were all extremely fun and the area was beautiful. We enjoyed the large kitchen and open layout. I would not agree that this house is really wheelchair accessible; however, that is really my only negative comment about our stay. It is a spacious, beautiful home.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This house was very spacious, it was plenty of space for 10 adults on a ski weekend. The basement had a big LCD tv with video game systems hooked up and board games available. However, when we arrived, the hot tub cover had been left off by a previous guest and there was a foot of ice, so we were unable to use the hot tub (which was one of the reasons we stayed at this house!). Calls to the owner went unanswered the first night. He left a message promising to have someone drop off the extra keys, which never happened. Also, the wireless was out the first day (but in his voicemail the next day, he told us where the router was so we could re-start it) so we then had wireless. The house was mostly clean. Upon arrival, we saw footprints (granted it was a snowy weekend) in the living/dining area; there were some kind of smears/stains in the dining room; there were TONS of dead bugs in the lighting fixture above the dining table. I would stay again IF we could make sure that all of these things were taken care of.. Pros: Spacious, Good Location Cons: A little dirty, hot tub not in working condition, poor communication during stayOwner response: We apologize for the difficulty. Unfortunately the previous guest did leave the cover off in sub zero weather, which has caused much difficulty and damage. We are trying to repair but must wait until tempretures are above freezing. We are also having the wireless router replaced. As to cleanliness meantioned, we work very hard with our cleaning team and will do our best to correct these issues. Thank-you for your review, it is helpful in order to make improvements to the home and the service.
