  The owners of this place accommodated all of our needs and were a pleasure to deal with. It was bright and impeccably clean. The linens and towels were plentiful and of excellent quality. The beds were very comfortable and the furniture really stylish. Having a computer with internet access was a bonus and there was also a nice pool downstairs. Getting around is no problem from this location but it helps to call ahead for a taxi. I highly recommend this place.

  This was our second trip to Panama and we wanted a place near where we stayed before and close to certain things. This place was perfect for us. Two nice bedrooms and two baths. Nice living / dining area with a balcony and a decent view of the bay. Was able to watch the ships going into and out of the Panama Canal, which was a big thing for me. Kitchen with laundry area was more than adequate. The host, David, picked us up at the airport, gave us a little tour of the city, and took us right to the condo. He also presented us with a supply of essentials and two bottles of very nice wine. He couldn't have been nicer and was available for us if we had questions or needed any help or advice. This condo won't have everything, but it will have everything you need and is in a great location. Near the nicest mall in town and the best hospital. Near places to eat that we wanted to go to and has excellent security in an area where you can walk around without any worry, day or night. The condo is also quiet at night, which is something you have to watch out for. Some places are not. Very comfortable with great beds. My wife said it was like sleeping on a cloud. Not sure how she would know that, but I took her work for it. Wi-fi was excellent, a/c units in every room you would want one in, and hot water all the time. Never used the stove but the microwave worked fine, as did the washer and dryer. Convenient to shopping and a good super market and drug store. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Can't give it a better recommendation than that!

  Thank you to David for such a warm welcome to Panama City! We felt right at home in this apartment :-) He was kind enough to provide some refreshments and snacks when we arrived after our long flight in from the US. In addition to this gem of an apartment, the pool area was magnificent with a lovely view of the city. I would recommend this apartment to anyone and will certainly be contacting David again should our future travel plans bring us back to Panama! Gracias! - Emily, Nick, & James

  David Lortie knows lots of secret places and stories to go with them. My favorite is a place I think of as Shangri La. It's one of the most incredibly beautiful mountain settings, impecably landscaped, award winning architecture and cuisine to match. The only catch was getting there. David straddled a railroad tie bridge bumping along at 10miles per hour. He clutched the steering wheel both hands, white knuckled, not speaking except to explain what was in the water below. My husband said," we're from Florida, no big deal about alligators". David gave us the name of some kind of flesh eating creatures that lived in the shadow of the so called bridge. Not piranhas, but something like that, maybe bigger. Yes, it was worth the risk. When you rent a place, make sure you know the owner, it makes all the difference! What a perfect Host!!!! We're coming back, hopefully to buy a place, tapping into Davids suberb secret knowledge and personality. Paradise Patty&Honey Bear VRBO 2994

  My daughter and I stayed at David's apartment for five nights in June 2010, and it was even better than I expected. The building is very safe and quiet, and the apartment very clean and comfortable. It was nice having the washer/dryer, and all of the food and toiletries which were provided were very well-received. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it highly.

  My husband, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and I had the pleasure of staying at David's condo for 2 weeks in early March. It was very comfortable, clean and close to all of the best shopping and dining. Additionally, David's attention to detail and special "at home" touches were a nice surprise and definately appreciated. The condo was stocked with the essentials (coffee, bread, milk, etc.) and many extras (fresh fruit, guava jelly, coconut cookies) that really enhanced our stay and made it feel like home. David, himself, was terrific to deal with and a wealth of information regarding the local culture. We cannot recommend this rental enough and will surely be back to stay again. Our heart felt thanks to David and his warm hospitality!

  David's condo was perfect and his hospitality second to none. He picked us up and dropped us off at the airport as planned and provided many food staples for our first night there. His condo is convenient/walking distance to the Johns Hopkins Hospital Punta Pacifica as we were there for medical tourism purposes. Walking distance to many grocery stores and two large malls as previously noted by other reviewers. comfortable furniture and cold AC was also important for us. David was not only a great host but we consider him a new friend. We will certainly stay with him again.

  David's Condo is very comfortable. The added touches of supplying small food items is what separates him from others. Located within $2-$10 cab rides of everything was nice. Pool was comfortable and allows for nice sunning. Would stay there again if given the opportunity. Thanks Dave!!

  My name is Danielle and my sister and I stayed at David's apartment for a week in August 2009. The experience was perfect! David was waiting for us at the airport (even though we were delayed) and he took us straight to the apartment, which was stocked with cereals, fruit, juices and wine. It was a perfect location to everything and he was quite the host. I was never hesitant to call him if I needed anything and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. The apartment's location really was is second to none. Within walking distance of Multiplaza (the best mall in Panama) which includes Riba Smith (a great super market), as well as El Rey, Sushi Express and a great place for pastries. It is also a great location to hop in a cab so unless you want to travel outside the city, a car is not really needed. The pool was also phenomenal. Having been in other pools in Panama, this one's location, above street level, really was perfect for enjoying a sunny day in Panama. Another great feature was the balcony. It's nice to relax outside and enjoy the wonderful views the apartment offers. It was a pleasure renting from David and I highly reccommend him and his condo! I look forward to renting from him again on my return!
