We thoroughly enjoyed renting the Kenya Kottage for our vacation in the Destin area. The house is beautiful and a very short walk to the private beach. It felt like our home away from home and was exactly what we hoped for our first trip to the Destin beaches. The property managers Kathy and Mike were also wonderful from beginning to end. Fantastic vacation spot for the a family.

When we got inside the house we could tell it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom faucets were covered with toothpaste all of the floors were dirty sticky, the dishes in the cabinets had food on them, the entire house needs a lot of dusting the blinds and baseboards were an inch deep in dust. The grill is a campground still grill all the way behind the pool not even that close to house. Walk to the beach got old quickly.I wouldn't stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone, I called owner and complained she acted as if I was lying and didn't offer a little refund she wanted to send housekeepers out that day we were on vacation not in a hotel either

My wife and I rented the Kottage to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our sons and our daughter-in-law. Best vacation we'd ever had! The Kottage is amazing. Exceptionally clean. Close to the beach. Pool just outside our door. Easy walking distance to several nice restaurants. Kathy has thought of everything to make our stay the best! Just got through recommending the Kottage to our neighbor! We'll definitely be back.

First time in Destin and loved it

This house is amazing. Large oversized bedrooms. Great walk around porch. The insulation was great - we had 6 people and you'd never know that many were in the house. The pool is literally behind the house and the beach less than a 2 minute walk. The neighborhood is quiet. The only negatives were - a smoke detector that chirped and the fact that there wasn't enough glassware (enough for 4 people). Since those are the only two issues, we would gladly stay again and again. We frequented Pompano Joe's which is only a 1/4 mile down on the left. Downtown Destin was only 4 miles away so we were always able to find something to do.

Perfect Place

The house was perfect for our family. Tons of space, clean, full baths off every bedroom, wonderful kitchen, just a great layout overall. My husband and I loved sitting on the balcony off our bedroom and reading at the end of the day. Right next to the pool, which was convenient and even found some good floats and pool toys at the house for our kids:) Laundry room was a huge plus. Neighborhood was beautiful and about a 2 min. walk to the ocean. We also walked to several restaurants and didn't need to use our car much at all. GREAT PLACE! And the weather was absolutely perfect when we went (April).

This home was very clean, quiet, with comfy beds and great kitchen setup with everything we needed. The only problem we had was the downstairs sofa and chairs as we were there a whole month and it was uncomfortable to sit on. That would be something we would have to change for the next time. Enoyed our stay in the home versus a condo which we've rented before. This was very cozy.

Our family of five, plus our pooch stayed at Kenja Kottage during Spring Break. We have traveled quite a bit and this is by far the BEST place we have ever stayed at. We enjoyed the daily morning walks through the beautiful neighborhood, the nearby restaurants that we could walk to, and the closeness to the beach. Kathy was wonderful-she arranged for us to stay another night-we were not ready to come home!! We will definitely return!

we stayed for the month of Feb the weather was not good but the house was very comfortable we didnt feel cooped up on the days we had to stay indoors.Very close to beach,and I didnt have to do any cleamimg before we moved in as the house was very clean and well stocked with towels etc.

We stayed at the cottage the last week of Sept. going into Oct. It was perfect! Our daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons met us. The boys had a great time at the beach, just a short walk for even the 3 year old. The weather was great! The house was very clean, comfortable, roomy! We will definitely do this trip again! We loved Kenja Kottage. We had always stayed in condos before and were a little hesitant about a house, but it was wonderful! Very nice, light and open home. We had a wonderful vacation and plan to come back.Kathy was very helpful and kind.

We had never stayed in a vacation home before and it took me a while to find this one. I was very pleased and happy with our results. The home was everything they said it would be and more. When we weren't there by 4pm, Kathy called to check on us and had the lights on when we arrived. When we got lost and had to call them (10pm, 11pm, then stayed on the phone with us till nearly midnight helping with turns), Kathy was always friendly and you could hear the smile in her voice. Everyone had their own room and bath, short walk to the beach, able to snack when they wanted, lounge at the pool and hottub - it was all great. Very little noise, other guests we met were friendly. We would certainly stay here again should we travel this way.

My husband, I and our three boys had an absolutely wonderful time at Kenja Kottage. It was so nice and cozy that we didn't want to go home. We had wonderful weather for Christmas time and spent 4 afternoons at the beach which was a short 5 minute walk across the street. The beach was absolutely gorgeous and so was the home. We would love to come back and visit again soon. Thank you for having us and providing such a warm and friendly environment for our family during the holidays!

WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT KENJA KOTTAGE IT WAS SO CLEAN AND VERY PRETY. MY FAMILY LOVED IT VERY MUCH. THE POOL AND HOT TUB WAS GREAT. AND VERY CLEAN. THANKS TO KATHY AND HER HUB THEY WAS SO HELPFULL. I HAD A QUESTION I COULD JUST CALL THEM AND THEY WAS GREAT HELP. BE BACK NEXT YEAR. THANKS SANDRA
