Just completed in June '08, this beautiful resort home is the perfect year-round escape for friends and family to gather and create lasting memories. The home has been custom-designed to be the ultimate blend of casual lake house comfort and modern convenience, from the hand-scraped hardwood floors and stone work on the indoor/outdoor fireplace to the plasma tv in the Great Room.
Blue Star House is approx. 3000', with 2 King suites on the main floor, a King bedroom and double bunk room & Queen sofa bed on the lower level, accommodating 12-14 comfortably. The main level also has a spacious great room with vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace faced in rustic stone, a large plasma television with stereo and surround sound & I-pod dock. The kitchen and dining room are fully appointed with stainless steel appliances, quality wood cabinetry and every imaginable tool & implement for creating memorable group dinners. The large, rustic farm table seats 8, in addition to 4 barstools at the island counter. Off of the kitchen at the front of the house is a spacious deck with gas BBQ and seating area. On the back side, adjacent to the dining room is our fabulous "year-round" patio with private spa, dining set and a comfortable fireside seating area under an open pergola. It is the perfect place to end a long, hot summer day, and the spa and fireplace will beckon on cooler fall and winter evenings.
Each King bedroom has been designed to provide privacy and comfort, with high-thread count sheets, luxurious pillows and mattresses, designer furnishings and accessories. The lower level features a family room with comfortable furnishings,game system, 2nd tv and vhs/dvd player. Also on this level are the 3rd King bedroom with adjoining bath, and the Bunk Room which sleeps 6.
The house in very conveniently located to the endless amenities of Wapato Point. There is an outdoor pool area just around the corner, and the beaches, dock and play areas are approx 100 yards away. The beach rental kiosk offers paddle boats, canoes, horseshoes, and putt-putt equipment. In the summer there is a stocked, "catch and keep" trout pond for the kids and many other organized activities. The boat dock has space available on a first-come basis, and boat trailer parking is available on site. The clubhouse features an indoor pool and workout room, and 6 lighted, outdoor tennis courts are also available.
The Chelan area is full of year-round activities, highlighted by 10+ local wineries with tasting rooms, charming festivals, snow sports in nearby Echo Valley, fishing, golf, Slide Waters water park, and of course, every imaginable lake activity. Brochures and recommendations are provided, and packages combining the rental of the house with wine-tasting tours, golf excursions, etc are in the works.
