This unit is on the top floor of a beautiful Queen Anne house located a mere 4 blocks from the UC Berkeley campus. It has been recently remodeled, fresh paint in all rooms, and new bathroom fixtures with classic claw foot tub and shower. The furnishings are clean, classy and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed with dishwasher, stove, new microwave and toaster oven, plus it has all the essentials you'll need to cook up fabulous meals with fresh foods from the famous Berkeley Saturday Farmer's Market just a couple of blocks away.
There are also numerous acclaimed restaurants such as Chez Panisse and Cafe Gratitude, and excellent shopping opportunities within easy walking distance from your place. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is a few short blocks away giving you access to the entire Bay Area. If you are driving, there is off street parking that will accommodate two cars. Parks for kids to play are only blocks away, and excellent hiking is a short bicycle or car ride from the house.

We arrived in the Bay Area from France with my family, we stayed 2 months at Bonita. The time for us to look for a long lease housing for the 2 next years, It was perfect to visit Brekeley, and to find the place we wanted to settle in : finally at cedar very close from Bonita. The apartment was very convienent to downtown Berkeley. We didn't have a car and our way around town was super easy - close to numerous restaurants, stores, the BART and campus. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated, we love a lot the kitchen, we spent many times to cook with a wonderful view. Our little family had a fabulous time there to begin our new life in California. Thanks for renting this apartment.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We just spent last week of december and first of january in this great victorian house with our two children. The location is excellent, walking distance to restaurants, BART ( we took it to go to San Francisco several times), supermarket, gym and play grounds in parks for the kids. The house is very well maintain and the owner was very helpful in providing all information I asked for in preparation for our trip. If I were to return to Berkeley, I will stay in this house for sure.

We loved staying here! It was quiet, relaxing, and close to everything - we were so happy to be able to walk to campus and do our errands. The Berkeley Farmer's Market was amazing. Thank you for making our stay in Berkeley so easy and comfortable. We will definitely be back! -Suzanne and Jim

warm in the summer during the day without air conditioning, close to market to walk and car parking is difficult and requires moving at lunch and at other inconvenient times to allow others to park double cars in a very hard to park area. Smaller than standard stairs and not easy to use areas in batchroom for counter space for women needing space for dressing.... sanitary and comfortable for a short stay. CAUTION . NOT for the easily trusting such as the young unprofessional as "tricks" to promise more than able to deliver. Watch out and confirm every detail and follow up daily to prevent possible issues.
Owner response:This person made a last minute reservation to stay at our flat while the landscape areas were under construction. We had informed the guest that this was the case and she wanted the rental anyway because she was starting a new job in the area. She reserved the flat for three weeks and found that she only needed the flat for two. We agreed to allow her a refund for the additional week which was against our rental agreement. Although we typically refund deposits promptly, due to the fact that my wife and I were on our honeymoon in Europe it took longer than expected to process her refund. We are sorry that she did not enjoy her stay in Berkeley as we do everything we can to make sure our guests are comfortable. One last note, there is ample off street parking with no parking restriction which is unique in this area.
