This beautiful Costa Rican luxury retreat, Casa de Corazon, is located just outside the sleepy surf town of Dominical. It is nestled in a gated community and butts up against the rain forest. The ocean views are breathtaking and sunsets unparalleled. The beach is just minutes away. The home features two guest rooms downstairs that open to the rain forest and a large master bedroom upstairs with private balcony overlooking the rain forest and ocean. With two HDTV's, outside barbeque and infinity pool it is perfect for entertaining or just relaxing with a good book. If adventure calls surfing, snorkeling, rain forest tours, etc. etc. await close by.
Casa de Corazon occupies a unique parcel of land. In addition to the flat acre on which the house sits, the property also contains four acres of hillside rain forest. The rain forest supplies a natural curtain for the occupants of the lower two bedrooms, which provides a sense of seclusion from the everyday, and intimacy with natural world.
The fringe of the rain forest wraps into view of the back porch and pool areas, but obediently gives way to a view of the epic, untouched Pacific coastline. Whereas the southern face of Casa de Corazon feels enormously private, the northern face looms over a vast and diverse scene. Depending on your mood, you can gaze upon the setting sun slowly filtering itself through the treetops, or shift a few feet and behold the event in its full radiance.

My family and I stayed during the week of Thanksgiving. I can say that all 6 of us loved our trip to Costa Rica and the home was like an oasis! The home is beautiful, clean, and the views are spectacular. The beds were comfortable and the temperature was easy to adjust using the air conditioners. We enjoyed using the large kitchen to cook up local seafood as we stared at the ocean. We saw monkeys near the gated entrance. We saw toucans and hummingbirds on a daily basis. The home is an easy walk to the nearby beach of Dominicalito. The town of Dominical is just a short drive away. Surfing, zip-lining, horseback riding, hiking, and rafting are all close by. I would recommend having a 4-wheel drive vehicle for getting to the home. Anytime we had to talk to the owner, he was pleasant and helpful, the entire process was great. I can't wait to come back!

Our family of 5 stayed here for 4 nights during spring break. It was like the garden of Eden! beautiful landscaping with the perfect mix of rainforest privacy and amazing beach views. We particularly loved going to the nearby fish market and fruit/vegetable stands then grilling out while the children played in the pool. Seriously - what a view from the great back porch! The house is beautiful and elegantly decorated. I hope we can come back here soon. I have shown my friends all the photos of the house and grounds - so amazing! In addition, we felt very safe with the guard at the gate. I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed staying here!!! Dominical is great - we loved surf lessons at Green Iguana surf school

My father, uncle and I shared a wonderful week at this house. We swam in the infinity pool every day, ate at the delightful outdoor dining table and watched the butterflies (including a blue morpho) flutter by. The home was well maintained. The property manager, Huascar, was helpful and insightful while we were there. The location was perfect. It is close to many beaches, (Dominicalito is just down the driveway) rainforest and other fun activities (Boat trips, zip-lines and horseback tours). A perfect place to relax, enjoy the beautiful view and watch the many birds after a day of adventuring.

Casa de Corazon was everything we had hoped for and so much more! Bill and Mary were delightful to work with from my very first e-mail until we returned after our 2 week stay at this amazing villa. My favorite part of this trip to CR was in the mornings when a troop of white-faced monkeys visited us most every day. The lush landscaping, the relaxing pool, where we spent most of our time, the breathtaking views from every room...it all was perfect! The house is beautifully laid out and worked great for our family of 5. The property manager, Huascar was also very helpful and attentive. Huascar's brother, Walter owns Bahia Adventures in Uvita and they offer some awesome tours and are very worthy of checking out. We highly recommend this property.
