Owner's Profile
Owner Description
My husband and I built this Sheepscot Shores home in 2001. I grew up in Wiscasset and my husband, who grew up in New Jersey, loved this area and we decided this waterfront property would be a perfect fit to build a home. We have 5 children and we all have spent many holidays and celebrations at the home, along with our extended family.
Why the Owner Chose Wiscasset
I have always loved being by the water and this property is located on a dead end road, is very quiet, and the view is beautiful no matter what time of year it is. It is close to coastal Route 1, a popular road for traveling along the coast, and it's easy commutes to all that the Mid Coast has to offer. It's also an easy drive to some of Maine's lakes and beaches.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house is 75 feet from the water's edge, and there is an easy walkway getting down to the water. The large deck, located on the waterfront side of house, is great for sitting outside and taking in the view. A grocery store is only a 5 minute drive and less than that to the village of Wiscasset where many small shops are located, including antiques. Red's Eat's, a very popular and nationally known eatery, is located in the village as well. They offer the best lobster and crab rolls in Maine!
