A lil' bit about us: This is our home away from home. Summer 2010, we renovated the entire cottage...from top to bottom. We added a new roof, new windows, hard wood floors, new bathroom w/ tub, and lot of snew furniture. We maintain a very clean and quaint cottage steps from a waterfall and the lovely town of Belgrade Lakes Village (with shopping, fine dining, and Entertainment at your doorstep). Great location since we are 15 mins from Waterville/Colby college, 15 minutes from Augusta, 45 mins from freeport outlets and sugarloaf mountain, and 1 hr to Portland and coast. This home Sleeps 8 max comfy.
PLAY GOLF or FISH??? We are only a half mile away from a PRO 18 hole Golf Course (voted top 5 in Golfer's Digest). How about Fishing on one of Maine's best lakes--Come to Vacationland and treat yourself to the way life should be!!
Seasonal Cottage only: We open MID May thru Mid Oct. OFF season, we do offer long weekends w/ a three night minimum at $250 per night. Rates for PEAK season weeks below.
The Waterfall Cottage sits on the pristine Long Pond and is by far the most peaceful of all the 7 lakes in Belgrade. W/ very little boating and skiing activity (go to great pond for that) you can relax and enjoy swimming, fishing kyacking, canoeing on this 12 mile long lake. Try our water's edge BBQ and toast to the beautiful SUNSETS. Fall asleep in front of huge flagstone fireplace inside or wake up to the sounds of the loons.
The Waterfall cottage is located on 350 feet of 'shared waterfrontage', the seven cottages that make up VILLAGE CAMPS all share an acre of privately owned land with a communal boat slip/marina for larger boats, unlimited wood in the wood shed, trash pick up, maintence of lawns. Each cottage yet has it's own land, private dock (can tie smaller vessels too). Our Dock has stairs that lead down into sandy shallow water --great for kids. REC Center up street for more activities for Family (see there summer calander).
CHECK-IN ANYTIME AFTER 1 PM!! CHECK-OUT 10am sharp!!. Looking for quiet families who will treat home like their own. Only 8 people unless permission for more (more than 8--would be a surcharge per head)in waterfall cottage.

July 2013 will be my third vacation at the Waterfall Cottage. I think it's ideal, the perfect mix of a quiet lakeside retreat and easy access to the village. The water temperature is perfect for long swims. There's a canoe to paddle across the lake and look for loons, ospreys and eagles. Day's Market, where you can get everything from Bloody Mary fixings to great lobster rolls, is a short walk over the bridge. The front porch of the cabin is a wonderful, peaceful place to have morning coffee and read, write and think. There are four comfortable sleeping areas- two with queens and two with twins. The bedrooms downstairs have doors. The upstairs areas are separated by the balcony walkway - and cushioned by the white noise of the waterfall. I stay upstairs and find it private and comfortable. The shared area in front of the cabin is rarely used by the other residents of the Gilman Loop - so it's private and offers a large open area for picnics and cookouts.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The Waterfall cottage is ideal for friends and family. It's right on long pond. It sleeps eight comfortably. There's an outdoor picnic table that's great for dinner. I spent my time on the dock, in my kayak, in the canoe and in the water. It's also close to town and to Day's Market where you can get anything. Perfect!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Hi Amanda: Just want to tell you that your cabin was fabulous. What an incredible location. We were wondering if you rent in September, later, after Labor Day when the crowds think. The weather was amazing for May in Maine. Actually hot away from the lakes. Tom and I went canoeing on Parker Pond and spent over a half hour with a pair of loons not 5 feet away from us. It was incredible. I have never been that close to them. They even called to us. I think it was my black and white striped top I had on. I have to wear it next time and see. Guess I was the biggest loon they ever saw!!!! Anyway, thank you. Have a great summer and hope we can get back up there in September. I bet the view is amazing in the fall. Take care, Claire and TomDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

Hello Amanda, We had a wonderful time at the cottage this weekend, no problems whatsoever. The location is perfect, gorgeous views and do convenient to everything. Dinner at Wing's Hill was fantastic. We would love to stay again in August if you're amenable to renting it to us. Well, you have a great place, and I hope we can work something out for the summer. Thanks a bunch. KaraDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Amanda, thank you very much. We had an excellent time. The cottage was very comfortable and cozy. The best part I think was the fire place, we used it most of the time. I've told a few of my co-workers about what a good time we had so you might be getting an email sometime soon from a few of them. This is a great time to escape the city and have some peace. Thanks again! Regards, Vincent -----Original Message-----Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We enjoyed our stay at the WaterFall cottage. It was very peacefula nd Quiet! Our grandson loved the swimming, and spent his days in the water. The water was quiet too, there were some boats, but not an influx of them. The cottage was very comfortable, there were little notes everwhere to cover any problems that may arise. WE had a great two weeks in Belgrade, and loved the country store down the street.Owner response: If you like the luxery of walking to the Country store, and little shops, you will love this place. If you are looking for a cottage in the middle of no where...we are not the place.
