The opportunities to view Wildlife are never ending. The Selkirk House is just two miles from the Kootenai National wildlife Refuge. Up the road five miles is the Nature Conservancy's Ball Creek Ranch. Boundary County is home to more endangered species than most areas of the country... Grizzly Bears, Woodland Caribou, Lynx, Bald Eagles, White Sturgeon, and Burbot to name a few.
Selkirk House is located just 500 feet from SnowCreek Road which leads to some of the best snowmobiling in the area. Schwietzer Ski Area to the south and Kimberley to the north. Cross country skiing from many locations.
Hunt, fish, hike, mountain bike, boat on the Kootenai River, or just relax and play horseshoes in the backyard.
