Your family will enjoy your stay at our beautiful contemporary home in South Bethany, Delaware. The reverse floor plan will allow you to view the ocean from the family room to the reading room to the second floor master bedroom. We designed the house with lots of windows and deck space so you can enjoy the sun coming up in the morning over the ocean and the sun setting in the west over the bay. It‘s just a few steps to the beach so no need to worry about carrying everything at once for your day at the beach. Come back and grab lunch or use the bathroom and you will be back on the beach in less than a minute. The upstairs great room with the cedar cathedral ceiling expands the entire width of the house and connects to the kitchen with a nice bar/eating area.
Our family likes to play games on the game table, watch TV and movies or read in the sun room, all within eyesight of each other so no one misses out on the fun. At dinner the big dining table can seat at least 10 people so lots of family time at dinner time.
South Bethany Beach is one of the most family friendly beaches you will ever have ever the pleasure of vacationing at. Life guards during the busy months will keep you safe but there is nothing wrong with having a cocktail on the beach while you enjoy the day. There is usually a game of volleyball nearby or you can fish all day at the state beach just 100 yards south of the house. You also have plenty of off road parking on both sides of the house so invite the rest of the family to come and visit.
Downtown Bethany Beach is just one mile north with its family boardwalk, great shopping and lots of fantastic restaurants. Ocean City, Maryland is a few miles south and Rehoboth Beach Delaware is just 13 miles north. Ocean City is known for its monster Boardwalk and hundreds of great restaurants and Rehoboth is known for its fabulous night life and shopping at the outlet malls.

- Welcome to our 5 Indian Street South Bethany home. Bethany Beach is one of the most family friendly beaches on the East Coast. Our house was buitl on one of the biggest lots in South Bethany. Only a few steps to the beach and planty of parking on both side of the house. BEDS-A queen in the upstairs master with a private bathroom. 1 Queen in the guest room downstairs room facing the ocean. We have a pair of twins beds in the three other bedrooms downstaairs. Master is upstairs with a beautiful view of the ocean. The 4 bedrooms downstairs share 2 full bathrooms. Upstairs (reverse floor plan) is the great room and a reading room with nice views from every window. And of course there are lots of windows upstairs.

Year Purchased: 1996
I am 54 years old. We have built many houses in Bethany and decided to keep this gem. I love it in South Bethany. This is my wife and my oldest daughter at her high school graduation here in Fairfax VA. We use the house in the Fall because the water is still warm and the crowds are small. Why the Owner Chose South Bethany Beach
I have been in love with Bethany since 1980 when I was just out of college. The most family friendly beach on the East Coast. Bethany Surf Shop is where we shopped for over 30 years because my brother happens to be the owner of the store!

Great neighborhood for the kids. Very safe and sound! You will fall asleep in the master bedroom to the sound of the surf.
