We absolutely loved our stay at Pelican Watch! We had 12 adults and it was very comftorable for everyone. Full size beds or bigger in everyone's room. Most other houses we looked at were full of twin beds. We were in Seagrove for our wedding and actually had the ceremony on the beach directly in front of the house. It was beautiful and amazing!! Diane was such a gracious hostess, she left us the sweetest welcome package and checked up on us to see if we needed anything else for our week! The bikes were so much fun to jump on and ride around the town. We didn't get time to use the kayaks, but will for sure next year! We will be staying at this house next year with a few friends for a reunion!

Our extended family (five adults and three teenagers) enjoyed a great Christmas and New Year's break at Pelican Watch. We made good use of the bicycles and kayaks and also enjoyed leisurely walks along the snow-white beach. The wrap around porch was great for picnics and our little dogs enjoyed the outdoor "freedom" given to them. Diane was such a gracious host - providing a welcome basket and even emailing from time to time to make sure everything was going smoothly for us. The house was close to plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as a grocery store. We will definitely be back to visit again soon.

Our family was able to enjoy every bit of our stay at the beach in this beautiful home. Well appointed with very comfortable beds. The views from the house are fabulous! At night we would go out on the deck of the master bedroom and enjoy the quiet beautiful sky, during the mornings, sit on the kitchens deck and view the beautiful ocean. The only thing better was sitting directly on the beach, which is a very short walk, level except for maybe 5 steps off the short boardwalk. This home is well stocked for guests. Bikes, kayaks, floats, umbrellas, it had everything! We would love to make it back next year!

This house was beyound our expectations, it was fabulous, beds were so comfortable. We had a great time on our vacation and want to come back to this place. Very relaxing and the owener is wonderful to work with. This was a healing vacation for us as we did lose a member of our family and this place was just a great place to relax and heal by the ocean. I would recommend this house to anyone who has a large family and wants to be relaxed.My dogs fell in love with the porches and I did too!!

Wonderful Vacation House!

We recently stayed here for the 1st time and were very pleasantly surprised. Our group included extended family for a total of 10 people. The house was so spacious and well laid out. The deck provided a beautiful, unobstructed view of the beach and was a wonderful gathering place; the breeze was to die for. It was so convenient to have bicycles as well as beach chairs provided, they were both used frequently. It really felt like our home away from home. Thank you so much for being so accomodating and making our trip so very enjoyable. This was truly a wonderful place to vacation and we hope to visit again.

Amazing Views!

While being regulars to the South Walton 30-A area, we have rented many houses and this was one of our favorites! My husband and I rented the house for the weekend for both of our parents and siblings. The most important thing I look for when renting is that there is a large porch that overlooks the gulf that our entire family can gather together on. The views from the house are amazing and the house is right on the beach. We spent every morning drinking coffee on the covered porch while admiring the beautiful ocean (and even saw dolphins!). And then would gather on the porch again at night to enjoy the view, play cards, listen to music, and coctails! The house is very well equipped. One night, we stayed in and cooked and the kitchen literally had everything you could ever need. All amenities, including the grill, bicycles, beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler were put to great use! Thank you Diane (owner) for allowing us to rent this wonderful house and make many memories with our families!

We have stayed on the Emerald Coast 15 times and this is by far the best property we have stayed at. Diane (owner) has a lot of extras that make the house special -- the garage is full of rafts, chairs, bikes, and other things to make the trip more fun. If you have little kids, there is a crib in the house. The house is super clean, has a great view of the gulf, and the walkway to get to the beach is right across the street. The beach is not super crowded so there is plenty of space to spread out. If you bike, route 30A has a 16 mile bike path there is right up the street that is a nice flat fun route. The house is only 2 miles from Seaside. I can't say enough good about the house. Don't pass up this gem.

We stayed at Pelican Watch in June 2009 for the 4th time in the past 5 years. This year we had 10 adults and 8 children under the age of 12. We had plenty of room for our huge family. The house is very clean and always has everything we need to enjoy a wonderful vacation. We love the area as it is a short distance from both Destin and Panama City. We can enjoy the quiet and then head out to the cities for dinner and fun if we choose. Diane is great and will help you with anything you need! We have already booked our week for next year and can't wait to go back!!!

There were 14 of our family members including 6 kids who met here from 3 states. We had the most unbelievable reunion and unforgetable week! Everything we had read about the house was true. There was no way to prepare us for the incredible views of the beach and ocean from the upper balconies- breathtaking!!! We literally could sit there for an hour just taking it in. And the garage...we were so surprised by the number of bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach toys, unbrella, nets, kayak, canoe, inner tubes, etc. For those of you who are coming after us, take your beach chairs down to the edge of the water at sunset and watch the wonders of the heavens. We are definitely coming back!!

Our blended family of eleven visited Pelican Watch in May of 2008. What a great place to make many happy memories. The home is lovely and very comfortable exactly as Diane describes. The views of the ocean and the lake are perfect. The garage is full of everything needed to have fun- bikes,chairs,umbrellas,floats, and boats. Our two year old granddaughter made many friends as she played in the pond and we sat by the ocean. We had a wonderful week and hope to return again next year.

Pelican Watch was incredible! The location is so perfect, Eastern Lake being so accessible. We enjoyed every minute. Our cousin's twenty year old son is anxious to return. Some wonderful memories were made during our Christmas vacation at Pelican Watch. The house hosted 4 familes (10 people and 2 English Springer Spaniels) from 3 states and enabled us to all be together or apart as desired. The porches were awesome and even allowed us to enjoy the water views during multiple storms! I honestly can't think of a better way to spend the holidays than with our families in Seagrove Beach at Pelican Watch. PS. Brooks was a great ambassador for the area and the house!

What an awesome house! I have been coming to Florida on vacation since I was a child and I think this house was the most comfortable yet. Wonderful covered porch, beautifully furnished and well-equipped. Great view of the gulf and short, easy walk to the beach. We especially enjoyed the bicycles and kayaks. We definitely hope to return to Pelican Watch!

Pelican Watch is a lovely home in an excellent location, steps to the gulf and Eastern Lake. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood away from 30A traffic. Diane has furnished the house beautifully and we loved the 3 decks, all with gorgeous views. We will certainly stay here next time we visit.

Hi Diane, We are safely back in Ireland now and already long for the beautiful Gulf Coast. Thank you for sharing Pelican Watch with us and our family. A delightful time was had by all, but a week is just too short. As the sign in the bath states "If you are lucky enough to be at the beach, you are lucky enough." We are blessed to be among the lucky few to share a week at Seagrove and at your house. The accommodation was simply wonderful and a perfect location for keeping up with roving boys. Beach, lake, beach, lake...etc... could monitor their where abouts from the nice cool porch. Hope you are enjoying your time in the mountains. Thank you once again. We loved our family vacation at Pelican Watch. House is a great size and accomodated all of us extremely well. Porch is fantastic, we spent lots of time with the children out there and it was very convenient and pleasant. Beach is clean and perfect. Views are just spectacular. Loved waking in the morning and looking out to the gulf. I would recommend this great vacation area along with this vacation home to all my friends. Can't think of any reason for anyone not to love this beautiful place. I hope we can get back there for another family reunion with our kids and grandkids.

My husband's parents recently took the whole family on a trip to Seagrove Beach and we stayed at the beautiful Pelican Watch. It was wonderful and the location was great. The lake opened up to the ocean so we could be at the beach and the lake at the same time! That worked well as we had a lot of children in our group who were 5 and under. The house is beautiful and well equipped. We all had a great time!

An exquisite house on a nice quiet street. Sunrise over Eastern Lake: the best. Great ocean views from the decks -a nice combination of indoor/outdoor spaces. Seagrove Beach is close to everything - but just far enough away. The house is very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and great electronics. My family has vacationed on the Gulf Coast for 20-plus years; this is the nicest place we have stayed.

We have been coming to the 30A area for 10 years; Pelican Watch is our favorite house to rent. The proximity to both the ocean and the lake (with kayak & canoe!) is wonderful; the view from all of the decks & windows is fantastic. "Thank you for your hospitality in sharing your new beach home with us. We brought two families down to share 4th of July together and we are going home with many new memories.
