Our Brand New Renovation features ski-season rates as low as $150/night. We offer the best 3-star rates at Snow Summit, without exception. Located just two blocks below the Ski Resort, on the very quiet Ponderosa Drive, you can easily walk to the slopes OR take the FREE shuttle that passes by half-a-block away.
THREE-DAY-WEEKENDS (MLK & Presidents) Our Guests are guaranteed an extended check-out time of 6:00pm, at no extra cost, so that you enjoy a full day on the mountain and a relaxed holiday departure from the cabin instead of a ski resort parking lot.
ABOUT THE CABIN:
This authentically decorated three bedroom and two bath cabin is ideal for fresh-air seekers of all ages. Newly renovated, the cabin now features; new wood-floors, tile, carpet, and paint/design throughout. The red brick fireplace loves to warm the chilly night and turn-out a s'more or two or three.
The Great Room features:

We have sooo many movies (1950's - 2008), at least a dozen popular board games, and more good 'reads' than you could tackle in a month.
Lots of entertainment for the 12-and-under set too.
Bedding configuration:
All bedrooms feature new carpet, very comfy pillow top beds & fine linens.
The first bedroom is fitted with a queen-size bed and features a 27” television with DVD/CBL Pkg.
The second bedroom is fitted with a king-size bed and features a 27” television with DVD/CBL Pkg.
The third bedroom is fitted with a loft-style queen-size bed and two twins. It is Kid Central with a 27" television, PS2/DVD, (2) controllers, tons of video games, VCR, and NO commercial/cable TV...they can only watch what you allow.
Kitchen: Fully equipped and completely stocked right down to the spices. Amenities include an oven/range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, and coffeemaker (with filters), and a large gas grill on the back patio. Big meal or small we have the service items you’ll require. The cabin has a full size dinning table that accommodates 6-8 people. The natural-wood counter features four stools for the more informal meal.
Laundry: The laundry room features a full sized washer & dryer. It also comes stocked with detergent, cleaning supplies and other sundries you may require.
Hot Tub: Seats six and is located in semi-privacy with the stars above. We are in the process of installing the hot tub and building the accompanying deck area. I do not have pictures available at this time. It will be operational by December 19th, 2009. If not, $50.00/night refunds will be provided to all guests staying after December 19th.

ANYTIME CHECK IN/CHECK OUT: Guests may arrive and depart as they wish at anytime in the scheduled calendar day for the additional charge of $35.00 (please inquire about availability.)
WELCOME SERVICE: 30 minutes prior to your ETA my staff will open the cabin, turn on the lights, turn up the central heat & water heater, & turn down the beds for the additional charge of $35.00
DAILY HOUSEKEEPING: We are pleased to offer one-hour of housekeeping between the hours of 8:00am and Noon on any day of your stay for the additional charge of $40.00 per visit.
VIP PACKAGE: Treat yourself to; Anytime Check-in/Check-out, our Welcome Service, and two days of Housekeeping for $125.00 total.

Why the Owner Chose Big Bear Lake
My family grew up skiing in the winter and boating/jet skiing in the summer and we grew to appreciate the cost effectiveness of Big Bear versus Mammoth or Tahoe, not to mention the MUCH shorter drive which makes weekend trips plausible, without taking time from work.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Or location is superb for both Winter and Summer. Two blocks from the slopes and two minutes from the lake or village. Excellent fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and off-roading. We ride motorcycles and there is more OHV trail riding than we could explore in three summers so far. The winter advantage is obvious - no parking, waiting, or driving to hit the slopes...because we just walk the two blocks and come back to the cabin for lunch, saving oodles of money.
