Location: Munich, Germany, Europe (Located near Sendlinger Tor. A short walk to city center)
Accommodations: Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)
Keywords: Apartment
The building dates to 1865 and was fully modernized some 10 years ago. The apartment was lovingly renovated in 2004. The apartment is located on the ground floor with a private entrance from the courtyard (no stairs to negotiate). The Glockenbachviertel is one of Munich's most popular areas and has many theaters, shops, restaurants, clubs, and is within easy walking distance of the historic city center.
Located around the corner from the SENDLINGER TOR transportation hub (subways, buses, and trams), you can easily travel from here throughout Munich, Germany and Europe. The apartment is made up of two large rooms. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed for two adults and an L-shaped sofa ideal for reading and relaxing or as a bed for your children. In the living room you will find a very comfortable fold-down sleeper sofa. It will easily handle even the fussiest of sleepers (my father even said so). The apartment is on the direct subway line to the fairgrounds (Messe) and to the Oktoberfest fairgrounds.
Owners are an American/German couple
With 81 square meters (almost 900 square feet) the apartment is perfect for singles, couples, or a family of four.

My husband and I spent one week at this apartment while vacationing in Munich. This location provided everything we thought of and everything we didn't think of. The fully-equipped apartment had everything to make our stay really a “turnkey” experience. The location was perfect for the active-minded traveler. A quick 15-20 minute walk to the main train station gives you access to all modes of transport (trains, S Bahn, U Bahn, trams and buses). Shopping for groceries was very close (1 1 1/2 blocks) with everything you could want including the wine, if eating in was on the agenda. We also found several nice restaurants within a 6 block radius that offered a variety of cuisine and were reasonably priced. Without a doubt, we would stay here again, should find ourselves in Munich!!

We stayed as a family of 5 at this lovely apartment in June 2011. Anton was very helpful with instructions and information and the apartment itself well stocked with guidebooks, maps as well as other reading material. The photos and description are accurate and we found the property clean and welcoming. The location was good, although a decent walk from the main train station. Kitchen utensils, bathroom and laundry facilities excellent. Borrowed an umbrella for a rainy day trip to Salzburg - thanks! Highly recommended.

Hello Patt - just a note to say that we enjoyed our stay at the Pestalozzi Str. apt. in June 2011. It was very convenient to everything we did. And it was set up nicely - worked out well for our group of 3. I appreciate Anton being there to check us in. I have rented some apartments in the past that had more involved key pickups - so this was quite a pleasure to do it so easily. I'll gladly recommend your apartment to anyone. Thanks again.

From the moment Anton greeted us at the door we felt at home and knew our vacation was off to a wonderful start. Anton showed us where everything was and how it worked (just in case we had questions about the washer - easy to follow directions are written out). The location was perfect !! It offers the best of both worlds - centrally located to grocery, apothocary, cafe, trams, U & S bahn - everything was just a short walk. There is a Chrismas Market located right up the street as was the very festive Christmas Tram. The aparement was very quiet not to mention spotless. The kitchen had everything and more we could possibly need. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was lots of closet space. Tranit maps, guide books, etc. were plentyful. You can tell great thought and detail was given to making you feel right at home as we did. You could not want for more - except to stay longer and often.

What a wonderful place! We stayed for a week in October and loved it. Everything we could possibly want as far as our comfort went, and in a great location. Spotlessly clean and lots of little touches, it's a real credit to the owners. It was great to return after an exhausting day of sightseeing and just relax in comfort. We were quite sad to leave but will definitely be back. Thank you!

My wife and I stayed here for a week and it was the ideal place for us. The location is much quieter than I thought it would be. Close to shops, stores, restaurants and transportation (the main train station is one U-Bahn stop away. It has all the amenities we needed for cooking and a great stay. We were met on arrival by Anton who kindly explained where everything was in great detail. We would very much recommend this well kept apartment to anyone visiting this great city. It's a great bargain.

We stayed for Oktoberfest this year. It is in the perfect location in between marienplatz and theresenwiesn, we walked to both several times. Also, it is far enough away to still be quiet and on a smaller street. The apartment has all the essentials, and the place is much bigger than I thought it would be for a 1 bedroom.

We spent 5 nights in this apartment and highly recommend it. It is located on a quiet street, just a few minutes away from the Sendlinger Tor tram/subway stop. You can easily walk to Karlsplatz and Marienplatz and there are many small, good restaurants in the area. This apartment is on the ground floor facing an inner court yard, so don't expect it to be sunny and bright. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped, and there is a washer in the bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is the perfect home away from home with plenty of space for a family and friends to visit. It has all of the essentials needed and very comfortable beds. The location is supreme with a short walk to public transportation and it's right around the corner from shopping and restaurants. We were very pleased and will check this apartment before any other the next time we are in Munich.
Owner response:Tell your friends. We love providing a home for guests to Munich. We appreciate your taking the time to leave a response.

I travel often to Munich on business and prefer apartments to hotels. I have now been a guest each year since 2006. The apartment is maintained at the same excellent level as when I first visited. The location could not be better. I have stayed in 4 other apartments in the past and this one is the best. Make sure you try Cafe Aroma, in my opinion the best coffee shop in Munich! The food is out of this world! Looking forward to my visit in 2010!
