To avoid being too repetitious, I'll just say that we (three friends) totally agree with all the positive comments made by previous guests. In addition, we especially enjoyed the spaciousness of the bedroom/sitting room, the total sense of privacy, and the "non-touristy" location of the apartment. The couch in the bedroom easily and comfortably sleeps an additional adult. We found Patt, Michael, and Anton to be very accommodating and responsive hosts. There are a couple of things I believe could be improved upon. Many items left behind by previous guests take up valuable drawer, closet, and shelf space; especially in the bathroom and small kitchen. A shelf over the coffee pot area could be useful. Essential paper and cleaning products were only sufficient for a very few days. All in all I would highly recommend this apartment for 2 or 3 people. We had an additional guest for a few days and that also worked quite well. Wonderful memories!
Owner response:Thank you for your kind words and for your suggestions. Anton is a child of World War II and struggles to throw anything out which might be of value. But your suggestion is valid and we will make sure enough free space is available for all of our guests. The paper products are generally there to get you started, but the expectation is that our guests buy paper products for their own use during their stay (as with their own home). We would enjoy having you back as our guests at any time in the future. Anton commented on how neat you were and how easy it was to clean up after your departure. Best regards, Patt

This was our second time staying here and it so feels like home. The apartment is clean, bright and well stocked for all your household needs. The kitchen has everything for warming up things to cooking a full meal. The washing machine is a real blessing, you pack lighter so you have more room for all the wonderful items you found during your stay. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient, one block in any direction and you have groceries, food shops, bakeries, apothecary. Sendlinger Tor station is only a 5 minute walk and in winter the Christmas market is right there. When you come back from a busy day you feel like you just walked into your home away from home.

My husband and I spent one week at this apartment while vacationing in Munich. This location provided everything we thought of and everything we didn't think of. The fully-equipped apartment had everything to make our stay really a “turnkey” experience. The location was perfect for the active-minded traveler. A quick 15-20 minute walk to the main train station gives you access to all modes of transport (trains, S Bahn, U Bahn, trams and buses). Shopping for groceries was very close (1 1 1/2 blocks) with everything you could want including the wine, if eating in was on the agenda. We also found several nice restaurants within a 6 block radius that offered a variety of cuisine and were reasonably priced. Without a doubt, we would stay here again, should find ourselves in Munich!!

We stayed as a family of 5 at this lovely apartment in June 2011. Anton was very helpful with instructions and information and the apartment itself well stocked with guidebooks, maps as well as other reading material. The photos and description are accurate and we found the property clean and welcoming. The location was good, although a decent walk from the main train station. Kitchen utensils, bathroom and laundry facilities excellent. Borrowed an umbrella for a rainy day trip to Salzburg - thanks! Highly recommended.

Hello Patt - just a note to say that we enjoyed our stay at the Pestalozzi Str. apt. in June 2011. It was very convenient to everything we did. And it was set up nicely - worked out well for our group of 3. I appreciate Anton being there to check us in. I have rented some apartments in the past that had more involved key pickups - so this was quite a pleasure to do it so easily. I'll gladly recommend your apartment to anyone. Thanks again.

From the moment Anton greeted us at the door we felt at home and knew our vacation was off to a wonderful start. Anton showed us where everything was and how it worked (just in case we had questions about the washer - easy to follow directions are written out). The location was perfect !! It offers the best of both worlds - centrally located to grocery, apothocary, cafe, trams, U & S bahn - everything was just a short walk. There is a Chrismas Market located right up the street as was the very festive Christmas Tram. The aparement was very quiet not to mention spotless. The kitchen had everything and more we could possibly need. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was lots of closet space. Tranit maps, guide books, etc. were plentyful. You can tell great thought and detail was given to making you feel right at home as we did. You could not want for more - except to stay longer and often.

What a wonderful place! We stayed for a week in October and loved it. Everything we could possibly want as far as our comfort went, and in a great location. Spotlessly clean and lots of little touches, it's a real credit to the owners. It was great to return after an exhausting day of sightseeing and just relax in comfort. We were quite sad to leave but will definitely be back. Thank you!

My wife and I stayed here for a week and it was the ideal place for us. The location is much quieter than I thought it would be. Close to shops, stores, restaurants and transportation (the main train station is one U-Bahn stop away. It has all the amenities we needed for cooking and a great stay. We were met on arrival by Anton who kindly explained where everything was in great detail. We would very much recommend this well kept apartment to anyone visiting this great city. It's a great bargain.

We stayed for Oktoberfest this year. It is in the perfect location in between marienplatz and theresenwiesn, we walked to both several times. Also, it is far enough away to still be quiet and on a smaller street. The apartment has all the essentials, and the place is much bigger than I thought it would be for a 1 bedroom.

We spent 5 nights in this apartment and highly recommend it. It is located on a quiet street, just a few minutes away from the Sendlinger Tor tram/subway stop. You can easily walk to Karlsplatz and Marienplatz and there are many small, good restaurants in the area. This apartment is on the ground floor facing an inner court yard, so don't expect it to be sunny and bright. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped, and there is a washer in the bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is the perfect home away from home with plenty of space for a family and friends to visit. It has all of the essentials needed and very comfortable beds. The location is supreme with a short walk to public transportation and it's right around the corner from shopping and restaurants. We were very pleased and will check this apartment before any other the next time we are in Munich.
Owner response:Tell your friends. We love providing a home for guests to Munich. We appreciate your taking the time to leave a response.

Great Bargain! Attentive, considerate owners! My partner and I stayed for a week here at this adorable, conveniently located and well-appointed flat that felt like home every time we stepped through the door. Everything we needed seemed like only a 10-15 min walk away. Longer destinations and any sites we toured we accessed safely on bikes. For those fitness/active-minded, I highly recommend renting bikes from Mike's Bikes and Tours. (I could have never done this in a city of 1 million + in the U.S., especially without a helmet! But here, I was amazed at the courtesy paid to those on foot or bike. And with the other transportation options of taxi, streetcar, bus, subway and train, there is absolutely no need for a car!). We also economized by buying most of what we ate from the nearby grocer. Did I fail to mention, how wonderfully beautiful the city is? You must come vist this historic, green, clean, and amazingly safe city. We will be coming again soon, I hope. And we know just where to stay!!!!!
Owner response:You were wonderful guests. The apartment was spotless. We hope to welcome you back soon.

I travel often to Munich on business and prefer apartments to hotels. I have now been a guest each year since 2006. The apartment is maintained at the same excellent level as when I first visited. The location could not be better. I have stayed in 4 other apartments in the past and this one is the best. Make sure you try Cafe Aroma, in my opinion the best coffee shop in Munich! The food is out of this world! Looking forward to my visit in 2010!

We stayed in this wonderful apartment one week in June 2009. The pictures are accurate. The location is perfect, in a fun area, filled with good cafes and nice restaurants, 3 minutes from subway/tram stop of Sendlinger Tor. Buy a weekly pass called a "Wockenkarte" downstairs at the information booth for 11 euros. It covers all transport in the inner city(tram,S-bahn,U-bahn and bus), but not valid to go to Dachau. The apartment is comfortable, elegant and very quiet. Hope to return one day.

My wife and I are both seniors. We found the apartment extremely convenient to all of the public transportation in Munich and to many restaurants. We invited a friend to stay with us for a few days of our visit and we all found the apartment to be well appointed for all of our needs.

My husband, daughter and I spent one week in the apartment and were thrilled with the location and quality of the apartment. We often rent apartments when traveling and this one is as described, no nasty surprises. Renting bicycles was a great suggestion and the best way to see Munich. We would love to stay here again.
Owner response:So pleased to have had you as our guests. We look forward to welcoming you again!
