My husband & I stayed at this gorgeous penthouse in January and loved it! The penthouse is in a gorgeous condo complex with modern decor. The penthouse itself has these sweeping amazing views of the ocean from both floors. It is breathtaking. The sunsets were unbelievable from the deck. We absolutely fell in love and relaxed on the second floor private rooftop deck with it's very own private pool. The day bed was so comfy and the perfect place to read a book after too much sun. We rarely left the penthouse during the day and only left to go out to dinner at night. We did not rent a car but had no problems with transportation. The front desk would call a taxi for us which would arrive within 5 minutes. You can walk to the beach from the place as well (not older or handicapped guests though). The owner Arnie was an absolute delight to work with and the house manager had groceries waiting for us that we had emailed along with fresh chips, salsa and guacamole. There are speakers with an I pod hook up for music on the top floor as well as two huge tvs downstairs for those that want to watch it. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit which was helpfull. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't love staying here. My only caution would be to parents with small children as to the upstairs deck & infinity pool. Small children would have to be under constant supervision. I woulld definately recommend to anyone wanting the perfect get away and hope to return myself very soon.

Glenn Weinstein Marietta, GA Review Submitted October 16, 2009 Date of Stay October 16, 2009 3 buddies and I stayed in the penthouse apartment for a 5-day "guys weekend away." It was a perfect base of operations - a gorgeous apartment with stunning views and lots of places to hang out, lounge around, and relax. We spent a fair bit of time up on the rooftop deck in the pool, or on the main level deck eating and enjoying the view. The location is perfect - we made the 10-minute walk into town every day. the Malecón (boardwalk), nightclubs, restaurants, and shopping (Rio Cuale flea market, etc.) are all within easy reach on foot. We ventured out to Sayulita one day and used a car service. Some nice added bonuses were the Dish Network TV service with New York stations; awesome bathrooms/showers, very high end glass and tile work; DVD and CD stereo system; and kitchen island where we had a cook come in and make authentic Mexican dinners. And the common areas of the complex are top-notch, the main pool is incredible, huge with a swim-up bar. We brought our own booze and bartended! The apartment is pristine and really makes you feel like a millionaire for staying there. It's all very cool. I can't wait to go back.

I stayed here with a group of friends, and we loved both the apartment and the trip. The apartment owner was very helpful and accommodating, as was the property manager. We had some delightful meals cooked for us right in the apartment. I'd definitely stay there again. Very high marks.

We had a fantastic trip to PV and this place was at the center of it. Beautiful and luxurious, but also comfortable and livable. Tough decisions were whether to have dinner in the rooftop pool or the balcony/patio downstairs with a spectacular 180 degree view. The access to someone who knew the area and could help arrange massages, cooks, maids, etc. was also a great feature. Couldn't imagine a better week !

Right when you step into the penthouse you will find yourself relaxing and in awe of the views and comfortable flow. The main level is well appointed, bedrooms are spacious and the porch / views are incredible. This is only topped by the upstairs patio, outdoor bed, bar and edgeless pool which was my favorite chill spot. We could have spent the entire visit in the penthouse (and the common area pool which was super) but only a short 10 minute walk and the town opens up to great food, entertainment and friendly folks. Big kudos to the staff that helped us as well - friendly, responsive and lined us up with all the activities we could want and more. 5 star visit!

We were fortunate to visit PV in the luxury of this condo in early October 2009. The earlier reviews are spot on however no words can do justice to the simply astounding views you get from the multiple decks - a 180 degree view of the mountains, the ocean, the beach and the city. The sunsets are spectacular and the fresh sea breeze is incredibly refreshing. Bring your camera with lots of memory cards and prepare to relax in a little piece of paradise.

We visited in August 2008 and to say that this place was a pleasant surprise would be the understatement of the year. First of all, the apartment is to the south of the city, away from the usual resorts and closer to the actual sights and restaurants of PV - all within walking distance or a short cab ride. The feel of Horizon Condos is definitely upmarket/luxury - the building is a cool white/blue with multiple swimming pools, fountains, outdoor lounges, etc... The apartment will totally blow you away. It's big and the entire back wall is a giant set of sliding doors overlooking the ocean AND the city. A truly incredible 100-mile “vista” that we took about 3000 pictures of. On the roof is a private deck area with an “infinity pool” that creates the illusion of water flowing over the edge down into the ocean view below. Even though the beach is a short walk down the hill, we found ourselves spending most of our time here anyway because it’s so convenient and beautiful. The rooftop also includes a refrigerator, shaded bar area, and shaded California-king sized outdoor bed – we spent several afternoons mixing & drinking margaritas here. We also hired the recommended masseuses for an afternoon – massages on the deck overlooking the ocean followed by coronas in an infinity pool – does it get any better than that? We also had a fabulous dinner made for us by the housekeeper’s daughter – too good to pass up, despite the availability of terrific restaurants right down the hill. The apartment also has satellite TV and internet, although we never used them – you will have no trouble disconnecting here. Please feel free to give me call or email if you would like to see our pictures (available on google picasa). Really a great trip and we can’t wait to do it again.

When you walk into this beautiful condominium, the first, second, third – and fourth! -- things you notice is the view. The VIEW! Floor to ceiling sliding window doors lead you onto a terrace that spans across the living room and to the master bedroom, and your eyes don’t know where to begin taking in the panoramic vista: the ocean, the leafy hilltop looking over looking all of downtown Puerta Vallarta, the curve of the mountains to your left, or the beachfront way down below. Inside, is a stylishly decorated penthouse condominium that can comfortably accommodate three couples, while giving each the feeling of privacy. Spacious bedrooms, large closet space and private glass and stone bathrooms in the bedrooms; Living room has DVD, cable and internet access and a comfy couch to relax and take in the view; modern kitchen and appliances that would satisfy the most avid cook away from home. Eat indoors at the dining room table or outdoors on the terrace as you take in the orange and purple-hued sunset over the Pacific. The private pool area upstairs is like stepping into your own vacation paradise: infinity pool with panoramic ocean views, a bar area to mix margaritas, deck chairs and a chaise lounge to read and sun in luxury. I spent a week here in summer 2008 with my boyfriend and another couple, and we got the truly relaxing vacation—some days we were active and went on excursions, some days we couldn’t pull ourselves away from the beauty and amenities of the condo.Location is private and yet accessible to town and the beach through a scenic walk or short cab ride. Condo owner provided access to a housekeeper on days of our choosing, as well as a private cook who made us an authentic Mexican meal of enchiladas and tamales. We got a couples’ massage for a reasonable price through massage therapists that were referred to us by the condo owner.—and who make house calls!! A property manager for the apartment is always available by phone, and gave us recommendations for several day and night time excursisions. Some days we went to town, walked to the beach, and went exploring. Others we woke up and went to the pool, reading through several chapters before fixing ourselves lunch. Excursions included a nighttime dinner cruise to a nearby island, snorkeling and canopy tours. A truly magnificent location!!!

This condo is outstanding!! My brother and I brought our girlfriends to Mexico for a week-long vacation in Puerto Vallarta, and we stayed in this terrific home. The ocean views, the gravity pool, the assistants, and the accommodations are all A+ quality. The owner is very friendly and easy to talk to. He hooks you up with quality people who are happy to help you in every way: airport runs, meals, massages, adventures, cleaning crews, and more. We had a great time, and it was well within our budget. This place earned my highest recommendation.

My sister and I stayed at this gorgeous penthouse for 2 weeks last December with our husbands and kids. We all had different needs, and the penthouse was able to accommodate everyone's wishes. My husband likes luxury and needs 5-star accommodation: private pool, air conditioning, satellite TV, a big fridge, sharp knives, while my sister and I like to walk into town every day and see the sights. We enjoyed the truly spectacular view over old Puerto Vallarta on one side and the brilliant blue ocean and Los Arcos on the other. I loved being all together in one place and there were plenty of bedrooms to comfortably sleep everyone. The sun terrace by the pool is completely private so you can get an all-over tan when the kids are in town.

The condo is truly a great deal. The setup is ideal with all amenities and luxuries easily accessible. The doors to the balcony open up as an entire wall from the living room and allows for great views. The pool area is a wonderful outdoor area with ample sitting and eating areas. The owner has a great setup with the property manager who is very pleasant and capable of setting up most of your vacation needs. The only potential issue is access to the beach, but this is easily handled through a cab ride that costs less than $5. Great place for the appropriately sized group as the place is very well designed. I have stayed at many VRBO properties and I think that the amenities with this condo surpass all others I have been to.

We had a fabulous time in this condo with our four children. The view is unbelievable and it is a beautiful, modern condo with all the comforts of home. Access to dowtown is quick and easy and the pool on the deck means you never have to leave if you don't want to. Sunny all day on the upstairs deck!
