Our Villa is perfectly located in middle keys known as “the heart of the Florida keys”. Duck Key is home to the destination resort areas of Hawks Cay Resort and The Village at Hawks Cay and a beautiful residential development.
Our Villa is located within the Village at Hawks Cay on Sunset Village Drive. Come and enjoy the spectacular ocean views of Tom’s Harbor from our villa.
The Villa is a two story town home featuring 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and a TV, DVD player in the master, and one with twins and a flat screen TV and 2 baths and laundry upstairs. Downstairs there is a full kitchen, with cookware, dishes and utensils. The dining room and living room is decorated with a tropical décor. The living room has a large flat screen TV and DVD player and over looks a spacious lanai with views of Tom’s Harbor. Enjoy the Sunset Views from spacious lanai’s located downstairs and off the master bedroom upstairs.
Our backyard faces the beautiful shoreline of Tom’s Harbor, a secluded cove with calm waters and beach pockets. Fish from the shoreline; launch your kayak or Jet Ski. Anchorage for boats near the shoreline is possible. Boat dockage may be available at request.
Resort attractions include a marina offering Boat dockage and rentals, Jet Ski and Kayak rentals, boat charters, sailboat trips, scuba diving, snorkeling, a well stocked marina store and the Waters Edge Restaurant within walking distance of the Villa.
Drive ten minutes to the town of Marathon and you will have your choice of many restaurants, and bars along with fishing charters and dive operations. Have breakfast at the “Pig”, maybe lunch at the “Keys Fishery”. Try a happy hour at “Sparkeys Landing” and meet the locals. Just don’t dress up, they’ll look at you funny. Enjoy the casual lifestyle…you’re in the Keys!
The Florida Keys also boasts some of the best fishing in the states. If your preference is to fish offshore on the reef for sailfish, mahi, or grouper, just take the channel out of Duck Key and you are only five miles away. For those who like the challenge of stalking the flats for bonefish, you have come to the right place. A short ten minute boat ride out of Tom’s Harbor will bring you to some of the best flats fishing in the Middle Keys.
Bring your fly rod or light tackle and be prepared for a good time. But don’t stop there. Head on out to the gulf side to the “Back country” and fish the “white spots” for snapper. Bring your own boat, rent a boat, hire a guide, wade fish, or fish off the bank; it’s all available at The Village at Hawks Cay.
Scuba Diving in the Florida Keys offers the best diving in continental United States. Many dive sites are located within easy reach of Duck Key, including the very popular Sombrero Reef and Coffin’s Patch. Dive trips, snorkeling, and snuba are available at the marina, and in nearby Marathon.
Need more to do? Spend an afternoon at one of the many nearby state parks for nature walks, birding, and beach combing. Long Key State Park, Bahia Honda State Park, Crane Hammock, and Anne’s Beach are all within an easy drive from Duck Key. Take a walk in Duck Key which has many great walking paths and views, or stop by at any one of many marinas around 3:00 pm and see the charter boats bring in their catch.
Take a walk on the wild side. Enjoy the Keys on your hands and knees! Key West is an hour’s drive south to mile marker 0, 90 miles from Cuba. Enjoy the many restaurants, bars, music, shopping, and of course, the sunset.

My daughter and I have been to Duck Key many times, having stayed at Hawk's Cay each time. I decided to do the individual owner managed units this time. I was very impressed with there service. There were some lights out and towels missing when we arrived. I called the owner and she had someone over within 15 minutes with the light bulbs and towels. The place was spotless. The house is exactly like represented. I would not hesitate to return and probably will next year. Thanks for letting us use your wonderful place.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.
