This amazing new carriage house was completed in 2007 and is now being offered as a rental. The carriage house has a loft for two adults and a separate enclosed bunk room on the main floor so the kids can sleep in a quiet environment while you watch the flat panel TV in the living room. The love seat also folds out for an additional bed so 5 people can sleep comfortably.
The queen size bed up in the loft is PLUSH. We have stayed in many Rosemary homes during our construction and one common theme was an uncomfortable bed. Not this one. You will sink into this bed and not want to get up. Except to sit up and see the gulf of Mexico in the morning. There is a full kitchen below the loft to make a meal or to brew coffee. There is a full size washer & dryer in the hall closet and a large bathroom with an glass enclosed shower. The pool and hot tub in the courtyard are shared with the main house and are yours to use and the beach is just down the boardwalk about 100 yards. You can use our bikes in the garage to explore the neighborhood so you dont have to pay for rentals. You can also use our beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys too. Many great places to eat in Rosemary, you have the Summer Kitchen for breakfast and lunch (they are known for their incredible burgers). La Crema Tapas & Chocolate has small plate dinner and chocolate fondue. The very fine dining at Onano is Italian and Paradis is French.
Rosemary is our most favorite place in the world. Once you arrive you will understand.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We started coming to Rosemary Beach in 2000 and watched it grow into a really cool place so we decided to buy a lot and build a sweet beach house. It took over 2 years to complete it but in the end we wound up with a very cool place to visit and share. Not many places you can let the kids ride bikes freely through town, eat an outdoor dinner while they watch a movie on the green with their friends.
The Unique Benefits at this House
If you are lucky enough to come visit you will enjoy the private pool, hot tub and bikes we keep in the garage. You can use any of the beach chairs, umbrellas and toys in the storage next to the pool. You will love being able to walk to dinner and the kids will love playing on the green spaces throughout Rosemary where random soccer and baseball games breakout when enough kids show up. Its a great place to relax and figure out what's really important in life. (here's a clue---> its not work)

Hello from Kim and Kevin.... When we first started coming to Rosemary in 2000 it seemed like the days lasted forever but when it was time to go back to Atlanta we were depressed. We stayed in some great Rosemary houses through the years and discovered a few details that we liked and some we didnt like so when we decided to build our own beach house we did it right. Lot's of light, lots of porches with french doors, soft beds & linens and flat panel TV's (guess who picked that?) We hope you can come for a visit to see why Rosemary is such a cool place. The lifestyle and people will make it hard to leave.

The carriage house far exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We found everything just as described and even better. Beds were extremely comfortable--could sleep for days if Rosemary Beach and its shops and restaurants weren't always calling your name. The beach was so beautiful and the pool and hot tub were delightful. Loved meeting the owners and dining at their wonderful restaurant. Look forward to going back in the near future.

My family (husband, 3 yr & 5 yr boys) stayed at this location in June 2011. The location was perfect-5 minute walk to the beach, around the corner from restaurants/shops, and down the street from public pool (never visited due the private pool). We loved having lunch by the private pool (shared w/renters of main house)--it was great size for the kids. Next to the private pool is an outdoor shower, which we used even though the connection was loose and water sprayed everywhere (the kids loved that) . The washer/dryer was convienent for all the beachy linens. The spiral staircase that leads to the loft is best for older kids-my 5 yr old was OK, but the not for 3 yr old. The door is tricky to lock/unlock due to the storm locks. We used their bikes stored in the garage to bike around (e.g. to the Donut food truck in Seacrest)-very convenient! In the garage are about 3 or 4 bikes for adults, a couple of smaller bikes for teenaged kids, and a covered trailer that hitches onto the bigger bikes for small kids. We didn't use the trailer and brought our bike for the 5 yr old. The owner has a restaurant across the street and the employees use the garage below the carriage house to get supplies. During the first night, the garage door was opening/closing constantly between 6-9 PM, which you could hear in the carriage house (bunk bed room is right above the garage). I contacted the owner, who immediately fixed the problem by leaving the garage door open during our stay. The owner was very responsive to all my emails.

We booked this little charmer for a few days in late October. Just a quick mother/daughter trip to release some stress and get ready for the holidays. I can't say enough nice things about this cottage. It is so wonderful - every finish is first class and no expense was spared. The pictures are just a tease as the real thing is even better. There is so much room, even as a 1 bed loft + bunk room. The location is ideal... you can see the ocean from the windows, the town is just a block away (if even that) and the sand is a quick stroll down the boardwalk. And let's not forget the hosts - so kind and generous with their personal bikes, umbrellas, chairs etc. How easy is that? Stroll into the garage and grab a sand chair and off you go. They seem to know when to say hello and when to just give you a wave. You feel like you are a member of the family... even Louis the cute dog comes by to peek in the window to make sure you don't need anything. Don't forget to grab dinner in town. There are several outstanding choices. La Crema is a standout with their amazing spanish wine list and Paradis is so french and so yummy. Two words - book it!

Our stay was wonderful at this beautiful carriage home. Everything from the furnishings to the atmosphere was perfect. There was just enough room for us two and the property could not have been placed on a better lot. The carriage home would have been great for even four people! The views of the waves crashing were gorgeous from the large living room window in the early mornings. It truly felt like home. The convenience of having the pool and spa right outside our doorstep, added to great comfort and relaxation achieved by staying at this residence. But let’s not forget about the bikes, by far my favorite part. They allowed for some of the most enjoyable bike rides I’ve had in a while. I wish there was more sunshine during our stay, but all in all it was a great trip! Rosemary Beach truly is a remarkable destination and we plan to come back soon.

We can't say enough great things about our stay in Rosemary Beach and in this carriage house. This was the perfect vacation home and the perfect family to rent it from. So kind, generous and fun to be around. The house is fully loaded with top of the line everything, steps away from the beach, private pool and community pool, all the beds are absolutely plush and the bunkroom is a separate bedroom with a door for privacy. No need to rent bikes or chairs, they have them. No need to buy any beach toys or boogie boards, they have those too. Full washer dryer and internet connectivity as well. We can't wait to come back and stay awhile! ~The Welsh Family
