Vacation on Beautiful Bear Lake. We are located just 15 minutes W. of Grayling (& I-75), & 15 minutes East of Kalkaska which makes it a perfect central location for day trips in Northern Michigan; For example Traverse city is just 40 minutes away. Both Manistee and AuSable rivers are just within 15 minutes from Bear Lake Lodge for canoing and tubing. And, we are located in a snow belt with state land/trail heads just 1/4 mile away for great snowmobiling and ATV'ing.
Bear Lake was voted as one of Michigan's cleanest lakes. It is an all sports, spring-fed lake. We have a shared sandy beach just a short walk from the lodge that you will usually have to yourselves.
Come relax on a porch swing on our covered deck that is surrounded by pines (a tree house feeling), and listen to the loons.
The lodge is 1800 sq. feet and decorate with a "Up-North" theme, but it is modern and clean, comfy and cozy!
