The fishing in the calm waters around Puerto Vallarta is unbelievable. Check the web for the best time to catch marlin, yellow-fin tuna, dorado (mahi-mahi), and roosterfish. My 19 year-old son caught a 400-pound yellow-fin tuna during one of our visits. Fishing charters are much cheaper than in the states or Caribbean.
