Welcome to the Cowlitz Riverfront Mountain Cabin!
The Cowlitz Riverfront Mountain Cabin was completed in September 2007. In this custom Craftsman log retreat, the warmth and beauty of rustic wood surrounds you. The cabin boasts an array of amenities to ensure an experience of comfort and enjoyment in every way.
Inside the two-story home you'll find 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms -- plenty of space for up to 6 guests (and, one flat rate covers ALL your guests).
There's a kitchen with all-new appliances, living room with cozy gas stove, flat screen LCD TV with HD DVD in living room and another LCD TV upstairs, 100+ digital cable TV channels, DVD library, a laundry room with washer and dryer, and an office area too (free wireless DSL service as well). We also now offer free unlimited long distance anywhere in the U.S., Guam and Virgin Islands.
Outdoors, the covered spa overlooks the Cowlitz River and nearby wildlife. The covered porch offers views of the mountains and river, along with a gas BBQ and patio table and chairs. There's 100 ft of private shoreline along the Cowlitz River, with a picnic area and hammock for your enjoyment.
Located in a Recreational Community Association called Timberline Village, you'll have full access to the association facilities, including the tennis courts, playground, playing field, club house, and seasonal swimming pools. The club house is also available for rental for special events, such as weddings and family reunions.
Get out and enjoy nature at this year-round recreational paradise, with fishing, hiking, climbing, golf, winter sports (sledding, skiing, snowboarding), snowmobiling, horseback riding, four wheeling, mountain biking, exploring mountain meadows, waterfalls, and volcanoes, wildlife viewing, and more.
It's just a short drive to White Pass Ski Resort, an uncrowded, family-friendly ski area that has expanded to include two new chairlifts, a new lodge, and twice the skiing acreage. Visit the natural wonders at Mt. Rainier National Park (just a few miles to the southeast entrance). Shop and dine in quaint mountain villages like Packwood and Ashford.
The cabin is also conveniently located near Mount St. Helen's and Mount Adams, and Mayfield, Riffe, and Rimrock lakes. Whether watching the wildlife by the river while soaking in the spa after a day of recreation, or relaxing by the fire, you can be sure there will be something for everyone.
Book now for summer vacations, and plan ahead for holidays and special occasions, or simply for some impromptu R&R in a cozy, luxury, mountain lodge setting. The Cowlitz Riverfront Mountain Cabin is about 2-1/2 hours from Portland and Seattle.
One flat rate includes up to 6 in your group.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Cowlitz Riverfront Mountain Cabin!

We spent three nights here over the May long weekend in 2011 and had the absolute best time. Our 7 year old and two year old were in heaven. We loved the home, surrounding nature and could have spent a few more days easily. Great local sightseeing around Mt. Rainier too. Highly recommend and will go back one day.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Great Family Get Away

We had an amazing time during our 3 night stay. Even though the weather didn't cooperate and we had lots of rain vs. the snow that we were hoping for, the warmth and amenities of the cabin made for a great setting. The cabin was perfect for our small family get together, clean and cozy. We were able to use the kitchen to cook some amazing meals and the hot tub was a real treat. We had a great hike along the river and also got to see a bald eagle up close as it caught a fish. The proximity to White Pass Ski Resort was what ultimately sold me on booking this trip...only 15 short minutes away.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

From Cabin Guest Book: Thank you for sharing this wonderful cabin with us. It was everything it claimed to be and more. Iif you are sitting here waiting for the weather to break, be patient, it will be worth it. Although for our first few days we almost renamed the mountain "Mount Rain-Near", because rain was a daily occurence. Today is our 7th wedding anniversary and we can't think of a better place to have been on that special day.

What a wonderful week! After being cramped in a hotel room for a week in Seattle, it was so nice for the 5 of us to be able to spread out and enjoy your amazing home. The great weather allowed us to do many things -hiking, horseback riding, wildlife watching (love those elk), brunch atop Crystal Mountain and a trip to Windy Ridge at Mt. St. Helens. The kids loved playing in the river and ordering pizza from Cruisers. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us - we enjoyed every minute we were here!

From Cabin Guest Book: The Wi-Fi here is amazing! We were actually able to Google instructions to go places and stuff. I loved the house - we felt like Abe Lincoln in a log cabin! The hot tub was an enjoyable bonus as well. We would recommend this house to anybody!

From Cabin Guest Book: We enjoyed our stay at your lovely cabin home. The weather was great and we spent a day hiking Mt. Rainier taking in the spectacular views. We also went horesback riding at Indian Creek Ranch about 30 minutes from Packwood. We relaxed at the pool and on the deck and the boys had fun wading across the river behind the house. We had a fabulous time!

From Cabin Guest Book: Heaven on earth! A wonderful cabin with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed the spa and the river. The dogs loved the river too. Mount Rainier was a great trip. We saw more than a dozen elk (many right in town), a dozen deer, eagles, hawks, etc. This was a great getaway from our Seattle son and his wife and for us as well.
