Thank you for providing such a clean, well maintained and comfortable vacation cottage. The listing description is accurate - what we saw online is what was waiting on arrival and even more - it was clean and spacious. Having the washer & dryer came in handy with the changes in weather from warm to cool. Other good points include the view of Cadillac Mountain from the front yard and the close proximity to Chase's Restaurant, the IGA grocery, and Schoodic Point. Chase's has great food at a reasonable price and is just across the street! The IGA held lots of fresh, local produce and seafood - delicious! Schoodic Point is amazing and with the entrance to this section of the park only one mile away, we went out to the point several times during our week's stay. This cottage was perfect for our first visit to Maine, in a great location mid-way of "down east". We took day trips to Bar Harbor, Acadia, Lubec and Campobello Island and when we returned at the end of the day, tired and ready to relax, we felt safe, comfortable and "at home". Shorter trips included a tour of Bartlett Estate Winery, Corea, and the village of Winter Harbor ( don't miss the 5 & 10 and Gerrich's Cafe). We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends or family as a great value and look forward to a return trip. Doc & Karen, Suwanee, GeorgiaDid you find this review helpful? This Cottage is so clean and plenty of space for Everyone! The Two bathrooms are just perfect and the showers are very nice! It is in a great location in Winter Harbor with walking distance to Chases Restaurant and to the local grocery store. We walked a short distance to the shore to hunt for sea glass. The Owners are very caring and helpful if needed. We spent most of our time on the outside deck on the table and chairs with a bbq or eating lobsters! We also played games on that same table, with the weather so nice. I have been renting this cottage for three years now and plan on going back next year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

As a native of Winter Harbor, I would absolutely recommend this property. The location is great. It's within walking distance of many stores and restaurants and close to the entrance of Schoodic. The property itself was very clean, neat and beautifully decorated. It had everything that you would need and more. Amenities that we really appreciated were the barbeque grill, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, board games, outdoor table and chairs and tree swing. It was truly a perfect place for a vacation and family gatherings.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

My family and I stayed this past August for one week and we had a wonderful time. The house is super clean and well-maintained by the owners who are wonderful and caring people. The house is super close to the picturesque Acadia loop road and a short walk to the quaint downtown which has shops, art galleries and an incredible library constructed from rocks. My wife and I have stressful jobs in Philadelphia and within a day or two that stress just melted away! I highly recommend the house and town and look forward to returning some day.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
