Welcome to "Point of View"! Enjoy the beautiful year-round views from our cozy mountain home located directly on the Tyro ski slope. This is a true four-season get-away. In the winter, step out the door, put on your skis and head down the mountain. If you need a break, you can ski right home and warm up by the fire. In the spring and summer, enjoy cool mountain temperatures as you hike, bike, play either of Wintergreen's 2 championship golf courses, take advantage of the top-rated tennis facility or be pampered in the fabulous spa. In the fall, relax with views of the amazing changing colors of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hopefully you won’t mind sharing these views with the deer and other wildlife wandering on the slope in front of you!

Depending on the season, kids will enjoy a variety of activities including skiing, snowboarding, tubing, golf, tennis, arts and crafts, swimming, horseback riding and miniature golf. Older kids will love the skate park, climbing wall and paintball.

The house has vaulted ceilings throughout and views from almost every room, plus a comfortable deck. The living room boasts a gas-burning fireplace - perfect for cool nights. There is a TV with a VCR and DVD player, along with a stereo system with CD player, plus plenty of books and videos. The house has free wireless hi-speed internet access. The kitchen is fully equipped and a washer/dryer is available for your convenience.

There are 3 bedrooms including a spacious loft. The 2 main-level bedrooms have queen beds and there are 3 twin beds in the loft. With its own DVD player, the loft is perfect for kids. There are 2 full baths on the main level.

Upon arriving you will find an extensive book of everything to do at Wintergreen. From dining menus to less-traveled hiking trails, our personalized book includes activities both on and off the mountain. Our goal is for you to be comfortable and to have a truly relaxing stay in the mountains. Take advantage of all of the year-round activities that Wintergreen offers or choose to do absolutely nothing except enjoy the views!

  • We had a WONDERFUL time at your mountain home! Point of View is perfect and the skiing conditions were great. I want to thank you for charging such a reasonable rate. Had your rate not been so reasonable, we would not have been able to take our annual family ski trip this year. Our family has taken a family ski trip for the past 24 years and I am very grateful that we were able to do it this year to continue the family tradition that my dad started 24 years ago. He is 74 (75 in April) and still skis when we take this family trip. It is good for his ego and a great morale booster for him. Thanks again for sharing your lovely mountain home with others. ?

  • Well equiped kitchen, wide selection of movies that were actually worth watching, cool loft for kids, fire place works great, easy ski in- ski out but MAKE SURE you dont miss the house when skiing back! They all look relatively similar :)

  • We just recently stayed at Point of View for two nights. It was beautiful inside and extremely cozy. For a group of close friends, it was wonderfully equipped for quiet evening entertainment when we weren't skiing, with a few of my favorite board games and a good selection of movies. Cooking for a family size group of people was easy, all we needed to provide was our food as the kitchen was very well equipped. We had a wonderful stay and definitely plan to stay again!

  • We had many people come up to Virginia to spend the Christmas holiday with us and I thought "What a better place to go to than Wintergreen?" And I chose a great home to stay at! Some people went skiing some of just stayed at the house and hung out. We'll be back!

  • The house was wonderful and look forward to returning in the future. It is very updated and will give anybody a relaxed vacation. The location is wonderful with easy access to ski slopes and surrounding areas. I would recommend this house to anybody looking for a fun family vacation.

  • We have stayed at Point of View multiple times because we enjoy it so much. Tom & Sue have done a nice job of continuously improving the place over the years. It is located within walking distance of Blackrock Store (a quaint little store that has a little of everything) and also some great hiking trails. It is secluded enough if you want a romantic get-away, yet has enough room to take your whole family. Linda and I highly recommend it and plan to return in the future.
