Ken really went out of his way to make sure the house was extra clean. He was very accomodating. Very easy to get in touch with. The house was beautiful and super clean! Also the location is about as close as you can get to Yosemite National Park.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Cabin was just as described and in a great location. Kevin has everything there for you just bring your clothes and food and relax. We had a large group with last minute additions and had no problems finding a place for everyone to sleep. We planned on going to Yosemite for two days during our stay but only made it one because we wanted to enjoy the lake another day. Bring your golf clubs! The house was great and Kevin was a wonderful host. He provided all the details of the house before we arrived and gave his information for contact should there be any problems. He was very kind to allow us to stay for 3 nights even though there was a weekly rate on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is very kid friendly. We had 6 kids, ranging from 12 mos to 14 years old and they were all happy there. The house is stocked with everything so you don't need to bring much. If a large party I would recommend bringing your own towels. Plenty of other linens.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

From the first time I interacted with the owner of this home he was helpful and responsive. My family and I were going on a one night, two day trip to Yosemite from the Bay area. The home was super clean, in a good area where one felt safe, had all the amenities including enough towels etc. It's truly a wonderful home, well taken care off, lots of fun things to do like foosball table, DVD's etc. The only two down sides of this home, if you had to pick two, are that (a) couple of the beds and linens need upgrading (maybe its just that we need firmer mattresses and softer linens!) and (b) is that if you are going on a one or two day trip like we were then you spend a ton of time just getting to the main area of the park. The park entrance is about 30 minutes away (the owner of the home was honest and shared this with us before we finalized our booking) but then its another 45 minutes to the main Yosemite Village so you spend close to three hours just driving back and forth. Besides that, we would absolutely recommend the home and would go back there if we were doing a longer stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This place is awesome! Went here with a few friends for a quick get away. The cabin is extremely spacious and updated. The large deck is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Love that we didn't have to worry about bringing our own linens. The beds were already set up for us! We recommend visiting Rainbow Pools during the day for swimming and the Iron Door Saloon at night for great live music. We will definitely be coming back soon! We found the perfect hideaway!! Our family was looking for a relaxing place to vacation and we found it through SmithVacations.com. Groveland is a great little town. Kevin gave us great recommendations for our meals. He suggested checking out the Iron Door Saloon which is a must see. My wife cooked a turkey dinner one night, which was fun too. Most homes in the mountains require us to take our own sheets, but this house had all the beds made which sure was convenient. We all took turns using the steam shower which was quite relaxing after a big hike. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a clean, roomy, relaxing, comfortable home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We had a blast at your home in PML. There is so much to do there that nobody wanted to leave your comfortable home. The kids played Wii games while the adults had a pool tournament. Later, we all watched movies on the HUGE big screen TV. We laughed every night while we told stories around the firepit on the deck. Where do i begin.... well lets start by saying that my family planned a last minute trip up to Yosemite for a cousin who came back from Iraq. We wanted an experience that can cater to everyone as far as activity wise. There were varieties of activities between Pine Mountain Lake and Yosemite that we decided to look for a place near it... I contacted Kevin no more than a week before the actual date and the process was so smooth that we had the place booked and everything set within 4 days. Though there were lots of changes with our party size, you were so AMAZING with accommodating our party. THen comes the drive and checking out the actual place...... everything was exactly how it was described; clean, spacious, airy, and a little piece of heaven compared to our normal lives here in LA. The master bath was soo amazing, from the tub that me and my son enjoyed to the steam shower that was just so relaxing! We spent a lot of time at the balcony that had a peep view of the lake just relaxing under the stars with the portable fire pit. We also spent a lot of time on the loft with the foosball and the pool table. The drive out to the lake was so quick that even though we did multiple trips to get everyone to the lake, it was never a hassle. We made wonderful use of the canoe/kayak and the other amenities at the lake. There were around 16 of us in the party and the house was still more than enough for everyone to do their own thing. So THANK YOU, for making our little getaway AMAZING! We will indeed be coming back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our family just got back from spending a 5 day weekend at this wonderful Mountain cabin, and it was just what we all needed for some quality R & R. Pine Moutain Lake is one of my favorite places to get away for a while, and this house is just the place to do it. The house has a large kitchen, we cooked in most of th time, and ate our meals out on the deck in the "Outdoor Dining Room" and enjoyed a lovely view each night when we dined outside in the warm evening air. The house is very spacious. There are enough rooms to accomodate even a large group. The lake is just a short walk from the Cabin, they have a nice golf course nearby and we all swam in the Pool every day! Enjoy.... We would definitly go back again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This would be a Good property if a few things were addressed. The actual property structure and amenities are in great shape. The problem was in Cleanliness of the property and the other being the cleanliness of bed linens, pillows and comforters or blankets. You do mention that people need to bring their own bed linens, however, the blankets & comforters covering the beds were unclean, unwashed and just nasty. Honestly, we did not want to use two of the beds because of this. I think if you address these two issues your property would be a great place to stay. Might I suggest that if your going to require people to bring linens, then maybe you should put a mattress cover on the bed and leave them without other coverings. Our stay was on short notice due to our reservations being cancelled due to a fire. We thank Kevin for allowing us to book on such short notice.Recommended for: Sightseeing

Where do I start, this place is so relaxing I didn't want to go home, we loved the steam shower and the late night star gazing on the deck, the Marina has activities galore with a short walk we were able to enjoy many sun soaked days! If you want relaxation as well as a cozy clean place to stay I would highly recommend this cabin, we will rent again in the winter for a well rounded experience. I would certainly stay again and recommend to family and friends!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
