For the past 14 years guests have raved about the peace, quiet and privacy of Gram's Cabin Summer Vacation Rentals(formerly Gram’s Cabin B&B) and the beautiful 3-acre setting of paper birch and white spruce trees interspersed with pleasing, open, landscaped areas. Guests love wandering to the river where they can launch their own personal canoes or kayaks, fish for Arctic Grayling and King Salmon (when in season) or just sit, relax and ‘unwind’ from the cares of the world or the hectic pace of travel. It’s not uncommon to spot an occasional eagle soaring in search of prey or a curious moose wandering by for a photo op. Then there are the always-fascinating and entertaining ravens perched 60-70 feet up in the trees, their presence revealed by their amazing vocalizations.
You, our guests, are free to come and go as you please, eat what and when you want, set your own hours, -- in other words, make yourselves at home and be your own boss! Owners living elsewhere on the property are available in case of emergency, for travel information or sharing our love of Alaska with you.
Both cabins are identical and spaced far enough apart so that no one’s privacy is compromised. The cabins are laid out on one floor -- no inside stairs to navigate! Each has 1 Queen and 1 Single bed to accommodate 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. A 2nd Single is available, if needed. Each cabin has a private bathroom, fully-equipped kitchenette (table, chairs, sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, utensils and microwave cookware. Complementary coffee, assorted teas, cocoas, creamers & sugars are stocked in the cabins. Right outside the door of each cabin is your own personal gas grill plus related utensils.
When you’re ready to "see the sights" you'll find you are just 10 easy miles from Fairbanks city center or drive 10 miles in the other direction to meet the ‘man in red’ at North Pole's famed Santa Claus House.
Basically, our guests just need to supply their own personal items and an appetite for rest & relaxation in a charming cabin or outside enjoying our beautiful Alaskan landscape. We're quite sure you won't want to leave once you've settled in here and experienced the luxury of slowing down down life's frantic pace.
