  This was our 3rd year to vacation in Hollywood Beach and the 1st year to stay in this house. We found the house to be as advertised and the location was perfect for our group of 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Close to the Ft Lauderdale airport, groceries, restaurants and my personal favorite, Nick's Bar. Great Clam Chowder! One suggestion would be a 3 ring binder with instructions for where things are located around the property and how to connect to internet, etc. but I would recommend this house for anyone looking for a fun time on the beach. My son said it was actually 12 steps to the beach instead of 9.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  As others stated, location is excellent and it is nearly impossible to get a single family stand-alone in Hollywood these days for a week. We had a few issues with cleanliness and maintenance related to the "pet-friendly" nature of the place. Nothing major but thats the way it goes. I probably will look elsewhere along the broadwalk for future vacations as long as they allow pets to stay.

  Since I read reviews on VRBO, I decided I should write some. This is a fabulous location with beautiful ocean view. The house set up is perfect with two full baths and several sleeping options. Everything was clean and the decor felt just right for Florida. The internet worked fine, you just had to plug in to a direct line instead of using wireless. Location was fabulous for young teens and my daughter age 9. We used the water taxi service to Ft. Lauderdale which was very enjoyable and simple. The drive to other Southern Florida areas is easy...we went to Miami twice. I highly recommend for a relaxing vacation with some options for enjoying the broader area.

  My wife and two young sons (1 and 3) just rented this house a couple weeks ago. Must say I was very pleased all the important things! Lets start w/ the negatives just to get out of the way. First off, no wireless internet but had wireline, not huge but advertised as having wireless and did not have. Second, if you are looking for privacy when you are sitting outside, you wont find it here - your backyard is right on the boardwalk! Now for the positives, #1 location cant be beat, you are directly on the beach, w/ only an awesome, new boardwalk seperating you from the ocean. Beach is clean, and relatively quiet. Ocean awesome. #2 Boardwalk - two miles to explore, walking, riding, rollerblading, whatever - my kids loved it and if they were a bit older, would have loved it even more! #3 House --- not too fancy but has everything you need... two nice bedrooms - a decent kitchen and a common room (could use some more comfortable furniture). Best part by far is the yard w/ the gaezebo...great for lunches, watching people stroll by and seeing all the action on the beach right in front of you. #4 Hollywood - very nice people ... town is in the middle of a rebuild and is really trying hard to refresh the look and feel --- you cannot compare it to Miami and fort lauderdale in terms of restaurants and night spots (not too many quality spots in hollywood), but for a young family there was plenty enough for us. #5 Right next door to ft. lauderdale and miami if you need more action --- Boat ride on watertaxi to Ft. Lauderdale great trip! All in all, i would highly recommend this spot

  I just spent 5 days in this house, and I literally never wanted to leave! The location is MORE than ideal, the house was a perfect size, the pictures just do not do it justice, and the view is unrivaled!! I would buy that house today and live the rest of my life in it if I could. I feel like I spent most of the trip on the amazing patio space out back. Every meal that we ate at the house was eaten in the gazebo watching the waves. I can't even count the number of people who inquired about the house as they walked on the boardwalk! They commented on how cute the house was, its location, where we had rented from, etc. I told them the same thing I am telling you, RENT THIS HOUSE! I feel like a salesman or something haha, but it's just true. We are going back next year probably for a longer period of time. We walked the boardwalk down to the little Ben & Jerrys for late night ice cream. We grilled hamburgers on the charcoal grill. We tanned, ate, slept (comfy beds!), and had the incredible vacation we SO needed!! I love this house! It felt like it was our house. So comfortable and easy. The best!

  This property was beautiful! The listing description and photos were very accurate. The home was extremely clean and well maintained. You had everything that you would need (just like your own home). It was very comfortable. It was great walking out the front door and seeing the ocean and beach right in front of you. I have told everyone how wonderful our week was at the Jewel House. Great location. I highly recommend this property. The owner was very helpful and the rental office was extremely friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning next year!

  Unwind and relax in this lovely, quaint cottage right on the Hollywood Broadwalk with everything where it should be. From the covered gazebo, watch the world go by on foot, cycle, skateboard, pedal car, rollerblades, and other devices never before seen! You will be so relaxed you won't even bother to read the book you brought with you. The kitchen is complete, there's a barbeque, comfortable seats, good beds, good showers, etc. The sunporch is the perfect place to relax if you want to be indoors. Our only criticism is that the living room furniture is not very comfortable but you don't need it anyway. This place is good for the soul.
