The cottage was represented well in both the description and the photos. It was very clean and comfortable. The decor was perfect for an oceanfront home. We had our meals in and the kitchen wasn't lacking for anything. It was really a treat to cook and watch the waves at the same time. We had planned on more day trip adventures, but found that we were quite content to stay at the cottage and sit on the deck for the majority of our stay. The owners were very organized with information on how to locate everything in the cottage, even the owners manuals on the appliances. The cottage is also very private. We would surely stay again.

The photos do not do the location justice! You are right on a cliff overlooking the most beautiful beach! If you need the sounds and smell of the ocean and privacy, this is it! Comfortable, clean, never wanted to leave the place! We will return!

Lisa and I celebrated my birthday at The Green Flash in May. Fantastic, romantic time. Lots of great food, wine, and spectacular ocean scenery. Great hikes abound. The wind was howling, but the house was tight as a drum. Rick was fantastically helpful. Highly recommended.

The caring and thoughtful touches evident throughout your lovely home made our stay utmost comfortable and natural. The deck, the views, the sounds ,the smells...all beautiful!the cottage is perfect and well kept. What a fun and cute place to stay. We all loved it! Love the views and the beaches are great. You feel like you are on a cruise ship when sitting in the living room. We will be back. ...and last night an amazing sunset with "green flash" that we got photos of; it is not a myth. The views are amazing, the home is comfortable, and the location is perfect. Thank you for the great beds! Perfect, romantic location to celebrate our (insert wedding, birthday, or other major event or milestone). ANIMAL SIGHTINGS - whales, elephant pup seal, coyotes, bobcat, ospreys, blue herons, sea lions, mountain lions, porpoises, harbor seals, tide pooling with colonies of starfish and sea anenomes, deer, egrets, great white sharks. With the exception of the mountain lions, great white sharks and coyotes, everything else can was seen from the deck or on the beach. And of course, there is the green flash - not an animal but amazing!

My husband and I just stayed at the Green Flash for our anniversary and I cannot express enough in words how comfortable and romantic this cottage and area is. You get the feeling your are worlds away with complete privacy, quiet and peacefullness. All you hear is the ocean and you literally can stand on the deck and look right down to the beach and ocean below. This cottage is so airy and bright with all conveniences and a flat screen T.V. Floor to ceiling windows face the ocean and your own private deck. The queen bed in the living space is high enough to look out at the beach and ocean through it's own window. We stayed two nights in this lovely cottage. It was just my husband and I and we chose to sleep in the bed in the front of the house (the one pictured) because there was a window RIGHT beside it. We slept with the window open all night long and the sound of the surf and the sea air lulled us to sleep. I haven't slept that well in a long time! The amenities were just what we needed - in fact more than we needed! It was clean, and the view was just wonderful. The owner was very responsive and answered all of my questions in a quick and friendly fashion. I would love to return for another romantic weekend!!!

We stayed at the house for a week in April 2008 and will definitely go back! We've rented many different houses in the area over the years looking for the perfect rental and we've finally found it! It's cozy and just right for a single couple or a small group of friends, with a view to absolutely die for! We hated to leave the house, even for meals (and I usually hate cooking in when I'm on vacation!). If you're looking for something small and cozy (but clean and fresh with new appliances and updated bathroom and kitchen features) with a postcard view, this is the place!
