This is the perfect apartment for a stay in Paris. It is very large compared to other apartments at a similar price. The location is ideal; close to the St. Paul metro and walkable to many wonderful sites in Paris. The neighborhood is very safe, and there are great restaurants close by, especially if you are Kosher. Emeline and Adrian were fantastic hosts. Adrian met us at the apartment as he promised, explained everything we needed to know, and both were available for questions or guidance. There is a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and great bathroom. We will recommend this apartment to all of our friends who plan on visiting Paris. Thank you for a magnificent stay.

My husband and I stayed here for 8 glorious nights in November. The apartment is very spacious, especially the kitchen. The pictures are a perfect representation of the place. The bed was extremely comfortable and the living area oversized couch great for relaxing. The apartment was clean, warm, and a true retreat from the city after a long day of exploring. Emeline and Adrian made the entire experience seamless from the minute we contacted them to our final day. The location was a dream, we took the bato bus or metro out into the city or just walked and meandered back in the evenings. The neighborhood is lively and full of great eateries and people, especially the falafel stands, I will miss them! Overall it was one of the best decisions we made. Staying in the apartment made us feel apart of the magic that is Paris.

We spent a wonderful 5 days in this charming ,well equipped and spacious apartment in the heart of Le Marais for our wedding anniversary. Ahead of our arrival we had had good and easy communication with Emmeline who oversees the apartment. We would thoroughly recommend a holiday here. The apartment is on the 2nd floor on Rue des Roisier, a bustling street by day, but lovely and peaceful at night. Closeby is the fab falafel takeaway and restaurant Las du Falafel, great food and not expensive. Hannah's falafel restaurent good also. Les Philosophes closeby, also good for coffee, cake and people watching and good atmosphere and food in evenings too; the next door restaurant owned by them also and very tasty onion soup and boeuf bourgoignon. Is very close to St Paul's Metro, Line One which meant very easy to get to all the museums etc as well as from CDG airport. Look forward to a return stay in the future.

All the positives, noted in the earlier reviews are right on. We only stayed for 4 nights, but could have stqyed forever. After driving 3.5 hours in torrential rain from Honfleur, leaving the car off at the Lyon RR station, and taking a cab to the apartment, seeing Adrian waiting for us at the doorway was a wonderful introduction to Paris. He helped us carry our luggage up to the apartment, showed us how every thing worked and left us to collapse exhausted. We felt like we were home. The apartment is everyting you would want or need. I specially liked hanging out of the window watching all the activity below. The location was perfect, with restaurants, bakeries, dellies, and markets within a few blocks. [try the Equinox just down the street]. A short walk takes you to the river and Notre Dame. And the Batobus, which stops along the river at all the sites. The icing on the cake was Emeline making reservations for us with the cab service to take us to the airport. We highly recommend 17 Rue de Rosier [and Adrian & Emelne

** Main door to building did not lock...didn't like that lack of security. Also, there was Jewish synagag in the bottom floor of the building. This caused extra people, children, noise, trash on steps and entry. Would have preferred all residential. Bed had a lot of dusty old accessories under it. That should have been cleaned out. Place needs a bit of TLC. Lots of noise from busy street and food smell. Managers were courteous and helpful. I would pay a bit more to stay in a nicer place next time but I guess it was an o.k. deal for the money.

My husband and I really appreciated our time in Paris, largely due to the fact that we felt at home in the apartment we rented. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the free wifi and phone (both local and international). The location is ideal! We had everything we needed, as far as food goes, at most 5 minutes away by foot. The photos represent very well the actual set-up of the apartment. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family, especially for a couple. The owner had prepared a list of places to visit and there was a lot of documentation in the apartment. Very helpful!

My friend and I were lucky enough to book this apartment at the last minute on our recent trip to Paris and couldn't have had a better experience! Adrian was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. The apartment is in a PERFECT location. Easy access to the city sights and in a clean and safe neighborhood. The apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious. I loved looking out the window at the street below, such a Parisian scene! I HIGHLY recommend this place and will book it again myself when I return.

My wife and I spent 3 fantastic weeks in this wonderful apartment. Everything was as advertised in the listing and Adrian and Emeline were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The location is perfect, close to a metro station and within easy walking distance to many of the cities better known sights. The street is vibrant, interesting and great for people watching. The apartment had everything we needed, was clean and spacious. I would rent it again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to a hotel room.

My husband and I spent 8 glorious days and nights at this apartment in early August 2011. The listing description was completely accurate, with the apartment actually more spacious than the photos indicated! The apartment and building were clean and well-maintained, and the owner (Claudia) and the couple who manage the apartment (Adrian and Emeline) couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating - both in advance of our trip and during our stay. The location was excellent, with a Metro stop right around the corner. The bed, as advertised, was super-comfortable. The best thing about an apartment - as opposed to a hotel room - is that at the end of the day, when you are tired and your legs and feet are aching, and you might have had too much wine at lunch, you can come "home" to relax in your own space, with all the comforts of home (room to move, wine and snacks in the refrigerator, free long-distance telephone, WiFi.....) What a magnificent city, and an absolutely charming apartment. We hope to see you again soon.

My husband, two sons (9 and 11) and I stayed at the apartment for a week in July 2011. We had a great time. From the first e-mail with Claudia to the last phone call with Emeline everything was perfect. Emeline and Adrian are both very reliable, punctual, friendly and very nice and helpful. So was Claudia! The apartment is located at a perfect spot! Rue des Rosiers is close to the Metro station and within walking distance of many attractions. Also you can peoplewatch out of your windows! There is always something going on! Never a dull moment on Rue des Rosiers! The house itself is very quiet, we never heard any neighbors at all. The apartment is great, it is very big, the pictures don't do it justice! I used to live in the Marais many years ago and my apartment was not even half the size of Claudia's! Great value for what you get! It is well stocked with dishes and everything you might need! The bed is huge nothing I have ever seen in Europe and the bedding is clean. Adrian had just washed it and put it back on the bed! I was very impressed and if I ever get lucky again to visit Paris, I will definitely try to stay at Claudia's apartment on Rue des Rosiers! Thanks guys for a great stay!!!

This is a wonderful apartment, in the heart of the Marais on Rue des Rosiers. We really loved the location and the neighborhood with many interesting shops and restaurants. As many have already written you could easily just stay within a few blocks as there are many great restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, and falafel stands with all sorts of unique and delicious food. It is perfectly located only a few blocks from the Metro, near many markets and great streets to explore, about 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame and even closer to Place des Vosges. Emeline and Adrian were also very helpful during our short visit and truly great hosts. The apartment is exactly as pictured, though much larger. There is ample space in all of the rooms and the kitchen is well-equipped.

We would highly recommend Claudia's flat. First, it's a great location, right in the heart of Le Marais and the Jewish quarter on Rue de Rosiers. Numerous food choices all over, and we spent every morning eating a leisurely breakfast of pastries at the nearby shop. Add in lunch at the falafel shop across the street (or down the street - there are several), and dinner at one of the many restaurants, and you won't go hungry. The flat itself if very comfortable, especially the king size bed. My wife tried to figure out a way to sneak it through customs but it's too big. The kitchen is bigger than it looks in the picture, and had everything we needed. However, we didn't end up doing much cooking because we were out and about from sunup to late night. But it was nice having a refrigerator to keep stuff, and use the kitchen to make coffee, sandwiches, etc. The living room is quite accommodating, although the sleeper couch is not a pull-out, so I really wouldn't recommend having two adults use it. We had our son and his friend with us, and Emeline kindly provided a fold out futon type bed for one of the boys which worked fine. Emeline also saved our bacon when I mistakenly left our laptop in the flat when we locked up to leave for the airport heading home. She kindly packed it and shipped it (kudos too to the French postal service!). All in all, this was a perfect vacation and we would encourage everyone to stay in the flat.

Spent three nights here at the beginning of March. Very easy booking process which was completed within two days, no complications whatsoever - the best experience I have had securing accommodation in Paris. Incredible value for such a wonderful location. We cycled almost everywhere; there are three Velib stops nearby as well as St Paul metro less than 5 minutes walk. Local supermarkets are open late and there is a great covered food market selling fresh meat, fish and veg as well as ready-to-eat food (des Enfants Rouges) a 10 minute walk away, not to mention the wealth of high quality food shops (confectioneries, ice cream, bakeries etc.) in the immediate vicinity. Everything you require is within a short walk. Rue des Rosiers and the surrounding area is a beautiful, bustling location with quality boutiques and shops in abundance, safe and very picturesque. Most photos offer an exact representation of the apartment with exception of the kitchen which was bigger than we expected and a lovely surprise. The apartment is well appointed, comfortable and ideal for two persons. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay, I could not have expected better.

Recently stayed at the apartment with my sister and daughter. Adrian met us promptly and was very helpful. The apartment has a really homely feel and was an absolute delight. The listing is accurate although it really only sleeps three comfortably. I think it would be a bit of a squeeze with four. The location would have to be the best in Paris. Easy walking distance to most sites, minutes from the metro, supermarkets and bakery. Fantastic felafel shops and other restaurants. Had a lovely relaxed lunch at the Lizard lounge a short distance away. The neighbourhood felt very safe and had a lovely feel to it. Lots of clothing shops and vintage shops nearby. Loved returning to the apartment after a day of sight seeing. I would highly recommend this apartment to friends and relatives and would stay there again without hesitation. Loved it.

We recently stayed in this apartment for 3 nights, July 2010. We arrived late and yet Adrian happily greeted us and showed us everything we could need to know. He had also bought us some drinks and snacks, knowing we were arriving late from another country. The apartment was larger than it seemed in the website photos, with especially high ceilings and plenty of room for us, and one of our friends who stayed overnight (3 adults). The kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed cooking with food from some of the local stores. It was a perfect location to explore Paris - the Marais neighbourhood has great shopping, restaurants and bars and felt very safe. It was also walking distance to the Louvre and Notre Dame, and a short metro/taxi ride to any other attractions. I could not have picked a better place, and we would gladly stay there again for future visits to this beautiful city.

Such a find. This apartment is located in the district that offers shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Even in such a great location, the street is not too noisy. Open kitchen, king bed (very comfy), large bath......exceptional Paris locale. The owner and caretaker were very helpful being that this was our first trip to Paris. We will be back and plan to stay here again! It felt like home.

My husband and I visited Paris for 5 nights in April. The rue de Rosiers apartment was perfect. Very well maintained, clean, all the conveniences you'd need. Emeline welcomed us warmly and answered all our questions. The apartment looks exactly like you see it in the photos. The bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed opening the windows and seeing Paris life unfold in front of us. the location is terrific. We have stayed in the Marais before and love the convenience and the feel of it. Kind of a Village experience while being in sophisticated NYC/Paris. We like to "live" in the city we visit and being in the apartment so close to groceries and of course wonderful bakeries and butcher shops allows us to feel at home. You can shop along Antoine near the St. Paul metro stop on the way home. We hope to return soon.

Just got back from a wonderful stay at this apartment. I highly recommend it. My niece and I stayed here for a week. Spacious and conveniently located. One large bed in a separate bedroom and a very comfortable sofa bed in the main room (not the uncomfortable fold out kind, but rather a unique sofa that as is is also a big bed). A practical and well equipped kitchen. Great shower, big bathroom. Windows that open to people watching below on the Rue des Rosiers. The location is ideal. Right in the Marais district and on a unique street in the old Jewish quarter.

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas stay here. We've stayed in many apartments in Paris and can honestly say this was our favourite. Key pluses for us were a true full kitchen with an open plan layout (we cooked Pintade for Christmas dinner), the high ceilings, the fantastic location and the King size comfortable bed. The wifi was very convenient and worked reliably. The hosts were excellent and arrangements were easy.

I spent a week in this charming apartment mid September 2009 with my adult niece. Great layout, wonderful windows, comfortable furnishings, and nice to have laundry and a working kitchen. The property mgr graciously met me after a five hour delay in arrival with bottled water and fresh fruit along with the orientation. Everything worked fine. The location is wonderful. I have visited Paris several times and enjoyed being in the Marais, with all the locals and the nightlife. We could barely get out of the neighborhood each day, finding another treasure around each corner....cafes, restaurants, shops, boulangeries, and great access to Metro and taxis. This is an excellent base for a Parisian holiday. I hope to return.

My family (two adults, two kids ages 8 and 10) stayed in this apartment for a week in March, 2009. It was great for our purposes; well-located in an interesting neighborhood, within easy walking distance of the St. Paul Metro stop, and an easy walk to Ile St. Louis, Ile de la Cite, and Place des Vosges. The apartment is very comfortable and relatively quiet - even when the street below is lively (e.g. Sundays) you don't hear much in the apartment. Both the owner and local contact person were very helpful and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend this apartment.

The apartment is great. I just spent four nights there with three other guys I work with and we all had more than enough room to sleep comfortably. The vibe in the apartment is great and the location is outstanding (if you like art the Picasso museum is only a 5 minute walk, the Centre Georges Pompadou is about 10 minutes away, and the Louvre is about 15 minutes away). If you want to stay in the middle of Paris and do so at an affordable rate I highly suggest this place, and my friends that stayed with me would agree.

We're back from our long visit to the Middle East, from which Paris was our jumping off point, and I want to tell you how fabulous our stop over in Paris was. Your apartment was PERFECT for us, in size, location, layout and decor. We absolutely loved it and will definitely book it again the next time we are in Paris (which will hopefully be for more than 2 nights.) Also, Adrian was an exceptional host. He met us at the door when we arrived (in the snow!) and bought with fruit and milk - the basics that any jet lagged family of four needs not to have to stumble out into the snowy/rainy world to find. You were also a pleasure to deal with in terms of setting up the reservation, etc. Thank you so much.

And the washer/dryer in the bathroom is such a bonus. Emeline and Adrian greeted us upon arrival and were terrific. Aloha Claudia! We had a great time in Paris and enjoyed staying in the apartment for 3 nights in June. It was really nice to be close to so many great sights. We walked to the close by Picasso museum, Place des Vosges, and the Museum Carnavalet. It was cool to do lots of window shopping and checking out some oft he boutiques too. We really enjoyed eating at las'du falafel a few steps away, along with pastries from the myriad of bakeries. There were too many to choose from. I loved the fact that you can step right outside onto the action. The apartment was great! Lots of space and my aunt really appreciated the free long distance as she got to check up on here mom's health. With the Euro so high, we saved lots by cooking in the apartment. I would recommend stopping by the Supermarket next to the Metro station. We discovered that their prices are way better than the other corner stores. Well, all in all, we'd love to come back and stay in the Marais again, it was lots of fun. Mahalo!

After few trips to Paris, I came to a conclusion that only place to stay is Marais. It is located walking distance or few metro stops from all major attractions of Paris. It is particularly fabulous if you are jewish and have kosher needs, but even if it is not the case, Marais is so easy on a tourist, so manageable and full of good life, yet so peaceful that all other locations pale in comparison. One becomes instatly part of neighbourhood with its stores restaurants trateurs. It is upscale and down to earth at the same time.Impossible combination and the very key to to mysterious french style.Claudia's appartment is perfectly located and comfortably furnished. It is great to come back to after day spent in museums and shopping and feel at home, yet close to more excitement.Loved it loved it loved it.

Great location, great flat, well equipped. The amount of space was an appreciated luxury for Paris. It was a treat to be surrounded by some interesting art works. The first self-catering I have done where the kitchen knives were actually sharp enough to use! It was maybe too cruel to have so many travel books - it was difficult to remain focussed on Paris and the present. We enjoyed our time in the flat and would recommend it.

Hi Claudia & Emeline, Just a belated note to say thanks for a great stay at Rue des Rosiers at the end of March. We had a great time & the flat was beautiful. Ed was very impressed at the umbrella-stand full of swords, and being able to look down into the street to see the world go by. all the best, Simon, Helen & Ed.
