River Ridge Lodge is located on the Toccoa River with 170 feet of river frontage in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area in Blue Ridge Georgia. This is a genuine log home with each log being unique. The cabin was designed and built by a master craftsman and shows the attention to detail throughout. River Ridge Lodge is a five bedroom, three and a half bath 4500 square-foot, three-level cabin that features huge soaring ceilings and has artist carvings of bears and raccoons carved into the logs throughout the house.

Toccoa river views can be viewed from just about every room. New upscale designer rustic furnishings offering beauty and comfort. The layout of the house features two master suites with each having its own whirlpool tub. One suite is located on the lower level the other suite is on the upper level and both have top of the line king-size pillow top mattresses. The main floor features two guest bedrooms with a shared bathroom with each bedroom having a queen-size pillow top mattress. The fifth bedroom is on the lower level features twin beds that also have pillow top mattresses.
For planning sleeping capacity the bedroom layout at River Ridge Lodge is as follows:

Most of the bedrooms have satellite TV with remote controls. The loft area provides a built in workstation with a computer and high-speed Internet access and has a queen-size sofa sleeper. High quality linens are provided along with high quality bath towels and bathroom amenities are provided for our guests.
The greatest feature of River Ridge lodge it that is has its own Theater Media room for entertainment as well as a large recreation room with a pool table. The lodge features a wood-burning fireplace on the main level and recreation room. The hot tub is located directly outside the family room and can accommodate eight guests. Three decks, porches, and balconies provide a wonderful opportunity to take in the riverfront views. A large covered gazebo with wood burning fireplace and gas BBQ sits right at the edge of the Toccoa River. Horseshoe pit and picnic area for perfect for family gatherings.
The gourmet kitchen features granite counter tops, double dishwashers and a professional six-burner range and double ovens. Every kitchen amenity can be found for example; bread maker, waffle maker, ice cream maker, food processor etc. The dining area has exceptional views of the river. The river is close enough to enjoy the sounds of the river flowing while visiting with friends while dining.
The Toccoa River provides some of the best trout fishing in north Georgia, along with swimming and tubing down the river. Guided or self-guided canoe, hiking, or bicycling trips are also available. Grassy picnic area and horseshoe pit ocated on the grounds directly next to the river. For those with more leisurely pursuits in mind, the Town of Blue Ridge is just nine miles away and boasts some of the best antique shopping anywhere. The sightseeing train ride along the Toccoa River valley makes for a delightful morning or afternoon adventure.
RENTAL POLICIES:
*Rate Information: Our rates are based on the total number of bedrooms required during the entire stay. With each bedroom considered to be double occupancy. We only rent to one party at a time and close off the bedrooms that are not ordered the rest of the home is open for full use.
*Rental Application Fee: $35.00 This is a one-time fee that is only charged to guests that have not stayed with us before. We require that new renters provide us with a copy for the Driver's License or Passport to insure that the person that is named on the rental agreement is really who they claim to be. This is also to insure that the renter meets our minimum age requirement.
*Reservation Deposits & Changes: A 20% deposit is required at time of booking, the balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
* Refundable Security Deposit: $250.00
*Discounts: We offer a discount of 5% off the base 1 bedroom rate for echeck payments. If booking on line the discount coupon code is "Paycash". We do not offer any other discounts other then specials that are published or the gold star discount that is offered to our repeat guests.
*Pet fee is $25/nt plus $100.00 pet security deposit which is refundable if extra time for cleaning or to remove pet hair.
*Accidental Damage Insurance: We require that a basic policy be purchased which costs $45.00 and will cover up to $1,500.00 in damage protection. The policy covers things like carpet spills, furniture tears, broken lamps.

Why the Owner Chose Blue Ridge
One day, I was reading an article stating that Blue Ridge, Georgia was listed as one of the 10 vacation spots in the nation. We did not have a riverfront property as yet in our portfolio, so we decided to jump on a plane from California over Thanksgiving holiday and spent a week looking for property in Blue Ridge. I can recall the drive up from Atlanta being so beautiful even in the winter and it took far less time than I thought. We spent a week viewing property and when we were shown the River Ridge Lodge cabin it was still under construction. The best feature as the views of the river but best yet I still had time to design the kitchen and make changes and make two master suites. The setting was just what we were looking for and all it needed was a large gazebo with fireplace at the river’s edge. We made the trip back out five months later and to our surprise the cabin turned out even better than we ever imagined. Blue Ridge is a very special place doing business with our contractor was for the most part done with a handshake and I can say for a fact that Southern Hospitality is alive and well. I will always have found memories of our neighbors brining over welcome baskets and so excited to hear that the cabin was going to be used as a luxury vacation rental. The best feature by far is the location on the Toccoa River with the large Gazebo and fireplace. This is a genuine log home that was crafted with real western cedar logs which gives you a totally different feel. River Ridge Lodge stays much cooler in the summer and is really cozy and comfortable in the winter because the logs hold in most of the heat. The private media room is a real plus as it has a projection TV. The kitchen and dining areas are a real favorite with guests that want to entertain in cabin. I under curved benches around a large round dining table with a lazy susan in the center so it makes it ideal for sharing a meal with friends. River Ridge Lodge is true luxury

Owner's Map of Blue Ridge
After spending 25 years in high tech procurement as a start-up company expert and entrepreneur I left that part of my life behind to become the Vacation Lady. In the early 1980’s I was having to make frequent trips to the Far East and experienced High tea at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. It was during this trip that the inspiration and entrepreneurial vision came to open Tea Salons in the US. In 1988, I founded a new specialty retail tea business. Created the concept, interior design elements and business plan model from a one-store operation to over 16 US franchised operations and two International locations in less than four years which placed us number 35 of the 100 fastest growing privately held companies in Silicon Valley in 1995. After 10 years in the tea business and spending stints in high tech start-ups I was ready for a new challenge. Since my husband and I enjoyed traveling and dabbling in real estate and nearing retirement age it seemed like the perfect fit. In 1996 we founded Vacation Holdings, purchased our first vacation home and set off to build a luxury vacation rental business using our properties as vacation rentals. It was such a natural progression as I could use my skills in purchasing, interior design and use the same disciplines required in franchising such as scheduling, creating instruction manuals for guests and tracking linen, towels and kitchen inventory. Basically, I was back in the Franchise business only this time we were creating turnkey vacation rentals instead of retail store fronts. My lessons learned from the service industry are applied every day in customer service and satisfaction. We are now up to 9 properties in various areas of the US and Virgin Island and I can say that this is the best time of my life as there is nothing more satisfying than helping to make a Dream Vacation come true.

Our group had such a great time in this cabin! Although it was a chilly visit in January, we enjoyed using the theater, the pool table, the hot tub, and even the gazebo down by the river - the fire kept us all nice and toasty. Beautifully decorated, and great for a group of 4 couples to connect with each other and relax. Thanks again!

The house and view were wonderful and that is definitely what we enjoyed the most about our stay. Everyone in our group was totally excited and pleased. It's just breathtaking right from the very first step outside of your vehicle. If anyone isn't happy staying here then they wouldn't be happy anywhere! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this elegant, yet relaxing, mountain lodge. It is an amazing place with every conceivable amenity and feature for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon out at the gazebo with a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the sounds of the Toccoa River nearby. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to everyone.

I cannot pinpoint one thing that we liked the most because we liked EVERYTHING! This is an upscale cabin that is still very cozy and comfortable. Everything we needed was there, and then some. There is so much space and so much to do that we never felt like we were on top of each other. The kitchen is top notch, the media room is like your own movie theater, and the gazebo is heaven. AWESOME that you all rent the whole house out to smaller groups and charge less based on # of bedrooms used.

The house is gorgeous! I have rented 10+ houses in the Blue Ridge area over the years and this was the nicest by far. I love all of the details in the design (carved bears, log cabin walls, beautiful bar stools, bed design with matching linens, fully equipped kitchen, gazebo, media room, etc.). It is truly an amazing house with no expense spared.

I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at River Ridge Lodge! It was a wonderful time at, yet again, another spectacular property. We had such a good time in this amazing house. We became a family again, taking turns cooking and serving in the great kitchen and dining area. One night we had an October Fest at the Gazebo with brauts, beer, marshmallows and all the trimmings. Thanks for all your attention to detail and for all your help and accommodation.

We are traveling from Atlanta through North Carolina, South Carolina, and back to Atlanta before going home. This home has been the best we've been in with all our travels. It is large, yet homey, rustic yet modern, formal yet cozy. We love the attention to details. We enjoyed the outdoor gazebo each night at the rivers edge and toasted the marshmallows you so thoughtfully left for us. The first day here we saw seven deer at the river!
