Our group had such a great time in this cabin! Although it was a chilly visit in January, we enjoyed using the theater, the pool table, the hot tub, and even the gazebo down by the river - the fire kept us all nice and toasty. Beautifully decorated, and great for a group of 4 couples to connect with each other and relax. Thanks again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this elegant, yet relaxing, mountain lodge. It is an amazing place with every conceivable amenity and feature for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon out at the gazebo with a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the sounds of the Toccoa River nearby. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to everyone.

Pictures just can't do justice to the beauty of River Ridge Lodge. We were expecting to find a beautiful home, but instead found a place BEYOND our highest expectations. Like others, we have stayed in many "high-end" places around Blue Ridge....and this one is way above the rest! Every detail has been well thought out... creating an incredible atmosphere (better than staying at the Ritz - but "homey" at the same time). Home was spotless...sheets, towels, etc. all top of the line. Media room was great....just too many amenities to list, but they were all fabulous! The owner was a dream to work with and answered all our questions and John and Ana (the caretakers) are two of the sweetest folks you'll ever meet! Our daughter and son-in-law truly enjoyed the gazebo by the river to renew their wedding vows....fire going in the fireplace, candles, flowers and music...it was beautiful!! And, of course, we dined at our favorite Toccoa Riverside Restaurant!! We will definitely be coming back again soon!!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The House is Absolutely Incredible

Received this lovely thank you note from Don. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is absolutely incredible. We thought the pictures were awesome, but the actual house was even better. All I can tell you is the owner takes no responsability for the caretakers actions. I followed the check-in instructions exactly as I was told. I left a message with the caretaker that the SPA was dirty upon arrival and to CALL ME regarding ths. The care taker shows up without calling us out of the blue and then tells us the SPA was clean prior to our arrival and that it was dead skin. He cleans the SPA and leaves. I later discovered a $45.00 fee for him coming out to the cabin!!!! The instructions do say a trip fee will be charged if requested but I never requested him to come out. I asked for him to CALL ME BACK!!! We could have addressed the issue over the phone. The Owner stated she has to back up what her caretaker said and wouldn't budge from this. None the less the cabin was great and we had a good time. Just make sure to leave plenty of time for cleaning in the morning.

Owner response:This guest forgot to mention that they reported the heater in the spa as not working. The rental agreement indicates should you experience any repair problem to contact our caretaker and he will make the determination as to if this is an emergency or not. Any problem reported and later found functional the guest will be charged a trip fee. We view a spa heater not functioning as a possible safety issue. When the caretaker arrived he found that the guests children changed the spa settings to energy mode (instructions state not to touch these settings). Although we contend the spa was clean at arrival we cleaned it again at n/c. The caretaker also offered to split the trip fee which was not mentioned.

I cannot pinpoint one thing that we liked the most because we liked EVERYTHING! This is an upscale cabin that is still very cozy and comfortable. Everything we needed was there, and then some. There is so much space and so much to do that we never felt like we were on top of each other. The kitchen is top notch, the media room is like your own movie theater, and the gazebo is heaven. AWESOME that you all rent the whole house out to smaller groups and charge less based on # of bedrooms used.

The house is gorgeous! I have rented 10+ houses in the Blue Ridge area over the years and this was the nicest by far. I love all of the details in the design (carved bears, log cabin walls, beautiful bar stools, bed design with matching linens, fully equipped kitchen, gazebo, media room, etc.). It is truly an amazing house with no expense spared.

Everything! The house was amazing, and the perfect setting for my husband's "birthday weekend". I have to say...everyone agreed that the beds were the most comfortable beds we've ever slept on while on vacation. Cleanliness, Efficiency ratings a perfect score!

We loved the big timbers, the carvings and all the amenities. There was no problem for any of us and we all built lasting memories. The house and view were wonderful and that is definitely what we enjoyed the most about our stay. Everyone in our group was totally excited and pleased. It's just breathtaking right from the very first step outside of your vehicle. If anyone isn't happy staying here then they wouldn't be happy anywhere! When you open the front door it's just breathtaking! What a beautiful place!!!!!

The cabin was exquisite. We had the most wonderful weekend getaway, and spent it just having quality time with our family. Your cabin provided a wonderful. warm atmosphere for appreciating life. I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at River Ridge Lodge! It was a wonderful time at, yet again, another spectacular property. We had such a good time in this amazing house. We became a family again, taking turns cooking and serving in the great kitchen and dining area. One night we had an October Fest at the Gazebo with brauts, beer, marshmallows and all the trimmings. Thanks for all your attention to detail and for all your help and accommodation.

We are traveling from Atlanta through North Carolina, South Carolina, and back to Atlanta before going home. This home has been the best we've been in with all our travels. It is large, yet homey, rustic yet modern, formal yet cozy. We love the attention to details. We enjoyed the outdoor gazebo each night at the rivers edge and toasted the marshmallows you so thoughtfully left for us. The first day here we saw seven deer at the river!

AWESOME TIME! We loved everything about our stay. Great location beautiful cabin and all the extra attention to detail makes this a vacation destination that is hard to beat anywhere! We also loved seeing the bear behind the cabin and swimming across the river! We had an absolutely wonderful visit! The cabin was beautiful and homey. Everyone enjoyed the media room, pool table and hot tub. Enough adventures for everyone - even for the antique shoppers!
