Our three-bedroom cottage, "It Had to be View," is conveniently located at the front of the popular neighborhood of Seacrest Beach, with NO development between our home and the Gulf. We offer the best of all worlds at a great value:

We have recently redecorated the home to make it even more attractive and comfortable, with many new interior furnishings, paint, decor and bedding. The home now sleeps 10 very comfortably with a king sized bed, a queen, a double bed, twin bunks and a daybed with pop-up trundle.
The living area offers a large TV with a VCR, DVD player and a PlayStation2 with several games. The dining and kitchen area, open to the living room, seat 9 for mealtimes. The well equipped kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a spacious pantry.
A full bath serves both the living area and the downstairs bedroom. This bedroom has a private porch which leads to the back yard. It is a flexible room with twin bunk beds and a double bed, suitable for families or four children. There is also a TV/DVD player to keep the children occupied. Out the back door is a porch, gas grill and a fenced-in backyard for youngsters to play safely.
The second floor has a spacious Master Bedroom with king bed, down comforter, hardwood floors, sitting area with a large TV and DVD player, views of the Gulf and a private porch with awesome views. The master bathroom has a view of the Gulf from the glass-enclosed shower and tile floors, double sinks and a large jetted tub.
The third bedroom on the same level has a queen bed dressed with a down comforter and a private bath/shower. Double doors lead to a private porch with beautiful Gulf views. The second level also includes a laundry closet with full-size washer and dryer. All bedrooms have plenty of closet space.
The third floor is the tower room with wet bar, refrigerator, Carribean-style game table, a 19 in. TV to catch your favorite sports, and daybed with pop up trundle -- great for lounging during the day. There are wrap-around windows and sun decks on both east and west sides to enjoy sunrise and sunset on the gulf and the beautiful beaches of South Walton!

We chose Seacrest Beach because it is great for families! We love the huge 12,000 square foot lagoon pool, one of the largest on the Emerald Coast, and the proximity to the Gulf and the towns of Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach.
The Unique Benefits at this House
After a day at the pool or the beach, we love to hang out in the tower room and enjoy the panoramic Gulf views from the third floor. We often shop in Rosemary or walk over to the Fonville Press coffee shop at Alys Beach and let the kids play on the adjacent playground.

This was our second visit not only to Rosemary Beach, but to this house. We love it! The house is very comfortable, very well equipped, and the location and view are spectacular. We have been coming to the Destin/Seaside area for 19 years, and have decided the Seacrest Beach area is our new vacation spot when in the Panhandle. Sharon the owner is so helpful when planning, and she will go out of her way to make your stay terrific. The house truly is so relaxing and has everything you need for a wonderful beach vacation. We will definately be back.

Our stay at "It Had to be View" was outstanding. From the time we made our decision to stay at this house until the time we left after a week of fun, our experience was incredible. The pictures on the site do not do the home justice, and the house blew away our high expectations. There was ample room throughout for our two families, and the kitchen, bedrooms, and baths made us feel like we moved our own home to the beach. The views from the deck(s) and tower room are beautiful and the pool is one of the best we have ever seen. Easy walks to the beach, and the local restaurants and shops kept our days and nights full of fun. Short trips to Pier Park (15 minutes) or Destin (30 minutes) are easy drives for fun or shopping (our kids loved Big Kahuna Water park). The owners were great to work with during the difficult days of the oil spill. We had a great family vacation, and will definately stay here on our next trip!

We were traveling up the Panhandle to wait for the birth of our adopted son. We were traveling with a 2 year old and a baby sitter and had no idea exactly how long we would be in the area or where we should stay to wait. Sharon was so accommodating and helpful that we decided to stay at It Had to be View and it worked out perfectly! We rented a bike with a trailer for the baby sitter for when we were not there and she and my son had a great time at the pool, beach, ice cream store in Rosemary and playground in Alyse Beach next door. It could not have turned out better. We left with a wonderful new baby boy and a bunch of wonderful memories. This will be a special vacation spot for us in the future. Thanks so much!

We first found the Seaside/Seacrest area last year and have already been back three times. It Had To Be View is by far our favorite house. The home is so nice, well-kept, large, kid-friendly, and comes with everything you could ever need (especially in the kitchen). The pool is huge and a quick walking distance from the house. The house has a perfect view of the ocean from the top balconies (there are 2). The ride to the beach on golf carts across the street is free, wonderful, quick, easy, and the people are so nice. We have found the owners of It Had to Be View to be very upfront, honest, and quick to respond. We have already booked two more trips and referred many other people. This is by far our favorite vacation home. We highly recommend it.

We enjoyed the Seacrest area so much more than the Destin area. It was so relaxed, less crowded and the staff and visitors were all very friendly. The home was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed during our stay. We came with another family of 4 and there was plenty of room. It was also in the perfect location to the pool, beach and shops. Also, the home owner was very helpful and easy to work with.

We just had the most wonderful vacation here at, It had to be View! This home is more than wonderful, with a FABULOUS GULF view from the 3rd floor tower room, perfect location to walk to pool and beach in minutes, and beautiful decor to make you relax the minute you walk in. The Homeowner is the greatest and easiest to deal with, don't miss out on this house!

Your house was so very comfortable, and such a great location! That street was just perfect, and we could walk/ride bikes everywhere around Seacrest and Rosemary! We really liked being down on the East end of 30-A! ... Thank you, again, for the super stay, and great communication!

We loved our stay at It Had To Be View. The house was very comfortable, well equipped, and a close walk to the beach or pool. The only negative was that there was construction going on behind us that was loud at times. When that is complete, it will be perfect.
