This is a cute, clean one bedroom in the heart of Manhattan's upscale Upper East Side that belongs to a television producer in his mid-30's. The apartment is currently a walk up and is located on the 5th floor. However, as of December '07, the owners have begun construction on an elevator (finish time TBD). The apartment is also located in the back of the building, which is away from street traffic/noise.
There is a full-sized bed in the small, but cozy bedroom, which also includes cable television and a DVD player. There is also additional sleeping in the living room, which has a couch that pulls out to a full-sized bed. There is also an air mattress in the apartment as well. Overall, the apartment can fit 3 adults comfortably (2 in one bed, 1 on the other). Four adults would be pretty tight. But you'll hopefully be spending most of your time out and about enjoying NYC anyways!
The living room, sealed off by French doors, has a leather pullout couch, an additional chair, as well as a 42 inch plasma TV with digital cable, DVD player and home theater system. The kitchen, which is quite big for NYC, includes a microwave, fridge, stove and dishes.
No smoking is allowed. One pet is allowed, but must be approved ahead of time. NOTE: The owner does own one cat, which will NOT be present when you are here. The apartment will be spotless and without any cat accessories (i.e., liter box, food dishes, etc) when you are here as well. In other words, you'll never know a pet lives there.
There is also everything you need here. If you bring a laptop, information will be provided for you to receive wireless internet. There are tons of restaurants, cafes, bars/pubs and public transportation in the neighborhood, which is known as one of the most beautiful and safest in NYC. There's even a dry cleaner/laundry place downstairs in the building. You will be 10 minutes from the 6 train. Buses and cabs are all around as well. Want to visit Central Park for a walk or a trip to the C.P. Zoo? It's only a 10-12 minute walk away. Midtown Manhattan/Theater District is 10 minutes by cab and simple to get to by train.
You basically have NYC at your fingertips, but the luxury of a quiet neighborhood and a one bedroom apartment - not a hotel room - at your disposal.
