This 1 Bedroom Rockies Condominium is in walking distance to the Steamboat mountain base area and Gondola which boosts skiing/riding, shopping and restaurants. It is a two level condo with the main sleeping and sitting area located on the second floor. The lower first floor contains the full kitchen and smaller sitting area with an additional full futon that sleeps 2 people. The condo is perfectly situated between the gondola and Steamboat's largest shopping plaza. You can easily walk to the slopes or catch the free bus downtown. The condo complex has a front office for information and help. You can also use the office computer and Internet service for free. It also provides a nice meeting area and free coffee. The free bus service is in front of the complex. A great reason to forget about the car and enjoy a carefree vacation. The bus service is great and runs every 20 minutes from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. This condo has been recently remodeled and has a clean modern look.
The downstairs contains a sitting area with a gas fireplace and balcony that has a beautiful view of western Steamboat and historic Howelsen Hill ski area. The kitchen comes equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and slate flooring. The downstairs also has a table for four and a 20 inch HD LCD sharp flat screen with DVD player for watching t.v. or movies. The bathroom is located on the first floor and comes with all the hot water you can handle.
The upstairs has a 37 inch HD LCD TV on an articulating bracket which allows you to watch TV from any position in the room. A Sony surround sound theater makes it a great movie watching experience. Can't live without Internet? Bring your laptop. The upstairs also has a computer station with broadband connectivity via an Ethernet connection. This is where you will find the master queen bed that sleeps 2 people and the main sitting area. The sitting area upstairs also has a convertible Full bed that also sleeps 2 people and has nice wooden beam vaulted ceilings.
The Condo is above the heated pool and hot tubs and is just a few steps away. No long walks after soaking with this condo! The unit comes with outside lockable storage for skis and boards. At the office you can pickup your free copy of Steamboat's Today newspaper, a great source for deals and happenings. You can also rent a DVD or use the outdoor grills located there. The Rockies is an excellent condo complex, safe and convenient!
Property owner does not provide daily housekeeping services. Additional cleaning services can be arranged at an additional charge with property owner.
A charge of $150.00 will be levied for lost keys. This will cover the cost of replacing lock set.

Our family of 3 stayed in this condo in March, 2011. Can't say enough good things about the place and the owner. Beautifully decorated. No detail left undone: kitchen fully stocked with cooking items and dinnerware, plenty of linens and towels, and excellent entertainment system. Very convenient to skiiing resort and other amenities. Owner made himself available to us for any eating recommendations or other inquiries. Highly recommend to any vacationers.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at the condo for our second time March 29, 2010 through April 5, 2010. The condo was exceptional once again and just as convenient as the first time! Fred does it up right! Also helps that we had exceptional powder for great snowboarding! THANK YOU AND HOPE TO RETURN SOON!!

WOW! Thanks for the condo filled with "all the little things." The wine,coffee,etc,etc,etc. After a day on the slopes it was great to watch a movie sounding better than in a movie theatre. The boys were thrilled they had a place to charge their Ipods. Very nice decor! This is my 3rd or 4th time to Steamboat and I have to say the best accommodations yet. Your willingnes to offer advice and help with anything made us feel like we were back in the Midwest! THANKS! Congrats on the record snow fall our 1st day here. 450 inches!

My fiancee and I stayed in this condo from February 22-28, 2008 and had an exceptional time. The location is perfect, we walked to the slopes some days (10 minutes) and rode the free shuttle others. The condo is on the free purple bus line and it is though you have your own shuttle to the slopes. The condo is as the pictures show - modern, clean, classy, well-appointed. Fred was easy to deal with and the condo is priced exceptionally well. While I would say I recommend staying here, I am reluctant to tell you that in case you might take our week next year. Actually though, we highly recommend this condo and Fred!

We had a great time in Steamboat and the accmmodations were perfect. The upgraded furnishings and fixtures were a nice touch! The place felt very "homey" and we found the location to be very convenient. This was a great rental experience and made for a spectacular vacation(the powder helped too) We look forward to staying here again! Thank you very much!
