FAMILY VACATION AT ITS BEST!! This home was better then described. Not sure who enjoyed this vacation more...the adults or the children. Pool and hot tub were beautiful, home is immaculate and well stocked. There is nothing more you could want. Sea World, Legoland, San Diego Padres, and shell hunting, what more can we say. The owner couldn't have been better to work with. This home will not be a disappointment.

Beautiful and spacious home in quiet neighborhood

This is a very spacious and beautifully keep home in a quiet neighborhood. Great for families with children, or if you are having a family gathering. The home is spacious with a very large kitchen, dining room and family room. The master suite is also spacious, with private bathroom and sitting area. The home has beautiful decor and is spotless, and there is also a large two bedroom guest house for larger gatherings. The garage is well stocked with beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards and coolers. The grounds are also beautifully well kept, with lots of sunny decks including a deck above the guest house that has an ocean view. The only negative was that the pool was kind of cold, but I think that was due to unseasonably cold weather the weeks prior to our visit that would effect the solar heating system. We just spent more time in the jacuzzi! I highly recommend this house if you are looking for a private home.

Best Vacation Ever!

This home was exceptional. For our party of seven we were able to stay in this beautiful home for about the same price as renting two hotel rooms, but with so many more amenities! The landscaping was beautiful, and although it was too cold to use the pool, the hot tub was wonderful after long days of walking around the nearby parks and attractions. Centrally located between Seaworld, San Diego Zoo, Legoland, and San Diego Wild Animal Park, this home was the perfect base for our San Diego vacation. With several grocery stores nearby, including a Trader Joe's and a large Farmer's Market, our kitchen was well stocked and a joy to use with the stainless steel appliances and large working surfaces. We ate every breakfast and dinner at "home" and saved quite a bit of money while also eating much healthier fare. It was also convenient to have laundry facilitites on site. All seven of us went home with suitcases full of clean clothes! Nothing compared though to relaxing in the evening in the large living room with a fire in the fireplace. Clean and well maintained, this home exceeded our expectations and made our family vacation one we'll never forget. If you stay here, you'll never enjoy a hotel again!

This home was extremely inviting, and very comfortable! We had planned on being on the beach and out on the town for most of the trip, but instead found that we rather enjoyed staying in BBQ'ing and such. This home is perfect for a family, a few couples, and even a guys/girls trip!! I will definitely return!

Superb San Diego Vacation Home!

Our family of 9, consisting of 3 family units, enjoyed a great vacation week together at this superb Pacific Beach home in San Diego. The main house and guest house are beautifully maintained and we were pleased to find that it provided plenty of space for everyone in our family. All the amenities available (see list on web page) were more than ample to fulfill our needs for the week. The front and back yards, pool and spa, and spacious lounging areas are maintained beautifully. The back yard quickly became a favorite place to relax, especially when we lounged near the pool, which was fenced for the young children in our family so that they could safely play in the yard. It was a restful setting in which to soak up the cool summer San Diego breezes. The barbecue is a great feature of this home and our adult kids cooked up some delicious meals on it for everyone to enjoy. This location is in an established neighborhood with good access to the beach, a nearby large park with playground equipment, grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops and the freeways. The owner is attentive to concerns that are brought to his attention and rectifies them as soon as possible. We highly recommend this great Pacific Beach vacation home in San Diego!

I spent many hours searching for a vacation rental in the San Diego area. Our group included 2 other families (8 people total), so I wanted to make sure the house would meet everyone's requirements and was within everyone's budget. I chose this house because it had plenty of space for everyone and included lots of extra ammenities - like coolers, pool toys, bikes,hot tub, etc. The house was great! It had plenty of space for everyone. We especially enjoyed grilling out in the back yard and using the outdoor fireplace. We used the hot tub every night. The house was a short walk from the beach and was located conveniently to the airport, the zoo, and lots of great restaurants. You can stop searching for the perfect rental house, because this is it!

Great Backyard!!

This house was a lovely vacation home. It was spacious and very clean. The only down fall was that it was located on a very busy street so there was some traffic noise when the windows were open. Despite the busy street, the outside pool, hot tub and barbecue area were very private with a beautiful landscape.

Fabulous Family Vacation Spot

Each year our family (consisting of 3 family units) goes on a vacation together. This year, our destination was the San Diego area. We were so fortunate to have found this INCREDIBLE rental home for our resort. As we opened the front gate, we were in awe of the beauty and manicured/relaxing atmosphere of the front yard. We continued to the back where our positive impression grew with the various areas of lawn, outdoor fireplace, patio area, swing, lounging spot, etc. The interior was more than we could ever have expected as well. The entire home was well maintained, inviting, spotless, warm, spacious and accommodating to everyone's personal needs. The owner certainly outdoes himself with the way in which he has this home equipped - from kitchen supplies to outdoor equipment to detailed guidelines of surrounding areas. Physical proximity to so many San Diego attractions is yet another attribute of this home. We were blessed with a magnificent vacation, much of which was due to this home.

Fabulous family vacation experience

Our family (consisting of three separate family units) travels each year to a different destination. This year we stayed in this rental home over spring break. What a wonderful surprise when we entered the grounds and saw a haven away from home. The yards (both front and back) were well-maintained and offered areas for both fun and relaxation. The pool and spa were spotless and inviting. The swing in the back yard was a highlight and the interior was just as clean, well arranged, and open for everyone to get around and not feel on top of one another. The owner has this unit incredibly well equipped, from kitchen supplies, to outdoor toys and beach accessories, to linens, etc. Our vacation was one of our best, and many reasons go to this rental. It was a warm environment which lent itself to family bonding and physical proximity to so many San Diego attractions. It earns a ten star rating in our books.

Everything about this property was wonderful! There was plenty of room for 8 girls, the house was clean, and the location was great! The description provided by the owner was very accrurate and they left details on anything you could think of, including the nearest coffee house. The pictures don't do the house or property justice - you have to see it to get the full scope. The property is actually very private for being in the middle of a residential neighborhood. We had a great time and would definitely rent this house again. We didn't want to leave!

Like a dream

This house is amazing. Everything you could possibly think of is there. The indoors are only outdone by the outdoor area's. All the bedrooms are well equipped and the master ensuite even has a large soaker tub. The lounge area is amazingly comfortable and the perfect place to enjoy ending the day. The gourmet kitchen has everything you could possibly imagine. The outdoor area includes an amazing pool and hot tub that we enjoyed everyday as well as great seating and a ready to use bbq. The separate garden apartment is the backyard was perfect for our 21 year old daughter to have her own space. All in all this house live up to expectation and more. The owner is amazing to deal with and is very accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a little piece of paradise in one of the best neighbourhoods in San Diego with easy access to everything you could possibly want to see or visit.

This house was so amazing! Rodney was great with e-mailing us about things to do and places to go. We loved the neighborhood and walked to the beach every day. It was fully stocked, extremely clean, and just very well maintained. We had plenty of room too! We loved sitting in the backyard every night and lighting a fire and relaxing! We would recommend this house to anyone heading this way!

If you are considering other properties look no further.You know you are in for a wonderful experience the moment you walk through the front gate. The grounds are amazing with palm trees, shrubs and perennials. This is even more so when the landscape lighting around the pool and hot tub create a serene ambiance. Inside the home was just as impressive. Rodney has provided all the neccesities, and some,to guarantee your complete satisfaction.We were a party of ten for seven days. In addition we were able to accomodate four additional family members for two nights who came down from Anaheim. At no time did we ever feel overcrowded. The rooms provide ample space, the beds were confortable and there were enough bathrooms to accomodate even a party our size.The master bedroom is as if it was in Home and Garden.It features a nice seating area and a king bed I found hard to get out of each morning. The tiled bathroom is luxurious with a garden tub and double shower.All this and a guest house with mini kitchen, bathroom and entertainment area to boot.Last, but foremost was the amazing private pool and hot tub that was our gathering place each evening for six glorious nights. We had considered a beachfront location as going to the ocean was the only topic of interest for our 7, 8 and 9 year old children.With the sand and surf just eight blocks away and three parks close by, the greatest accolade I could provide is that whatever we did and wherever we went, the children were always anxious ti get back "home".

I would highly recommend this property. Super clean and nice decor, comfortable. Love the pool and hot tub. The yard is awesome. Having the little guest house is great too. Our little ones had plenty of space to run and play. The owner was very helpful and always quick to respond with any questions we had. Bikes were great to have as well. We would definetly stay again. Deposit was returned within a couple weeks.

We just got back from a enjoyable stay in San Diego. The house was spacious for us 10 european ladies. We all had a bed and each room a bathroom..what else do ladies need. Some of us wanted to go shopping and there were many shopping malls nearby. Others enjoyed biking through Pacific Beach and Mission Beach, as dutchies we are used to riding up and down the hills. Unfortunatly the dishwasher didn't work, but the owner was available when ever we needed him. He also gave a tip for a great restaurant Tower 23. To bad it was cold, therefore we appreciated the hottub and the outside fireplace even more. The trip was short and for sure some of us will be back to see more of San Diego.

Owner response:November 14, 2009 not sure what was going on with the dishwasher we could not get it to duplicate a mechanical problem. We do not want any future inconveniences in that regard and it is being replaced and upgraded this week. We appreciate the guest's comments as well as their five star rating. We look forward to having them return to our home for many years to come.

I recently returned from staying at this property from Febryuary 28 to March 7. After carefully reviewing all the available properties, we where not dissapointed! There where 6 of us, all male golfers. This home had everything we required and so much more that we never took advantage of. I never imagined that any home for rent would come so well equipped. All we really needed to pack was our golf clubs and clothing. All 6 of us agreed that the home itself was a destination on it's own and totally awesome! Rodney, the homeowner was extremely helpful.
