Unit could be cleaner

Having small children ages 11 yrs - 9 months old, cleanliness is important. When we arrived, the floors were sandy and sticky, the ac intake vent was dripping with dust, there was a hairball in the master shower, small flecks of trash behind the master bathroom door, the master shower drain and the guest bathroom drain did not drain well, the locks on 2 of the bathroom doors did not work, there were stains on the master bedroom floor, one of the guest bedroom queen matress was warped and bowed from the middle and the sliding door to the balcony had streaks like it was cleaned with a dirty cloth. However, when we called the office to inform them of the issues, they were prompt in sending someone out. The cleaning lady was kind enough to come out on her day off to sweep and mop and clean the ac intake vent, but the mop was dirty and the floors were still not clean enough for an infant to crawl on. The next morning, the maintenance guy came to clear out the shower/bath drains....problem solved. On day 3 we saw a huge cockroach in the kitchen and one of the guest bathroom towel bars fell off the wall. The towel bar was fixed promptly and we had to work around the rest of the issues (ie, buy socks to walk around the unit, lay blankets on the floor for baby to crawl around, sleep on othr beds due to warped mattress, etc....) On the upside, the office, cleaning and maintenance staff were all extremely nice and courteous, and addressed most of the issues as quickly as they could. The mattress on the bunk beds were very comfortable since the queen mattress was warped, the rest of the unit amenities were more than satisfactory. The location of the property was great, the parking garage was very convenient, the pool, facilities, grounds and beach were very well maintained. Despite all of the issues, we still had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely still consider staying at villa coyaba on our future trips..... maybe not this unit.

We have since let go that cleaning crew and hired a replacement team to ensure any future guests do not have any other issues with cleaning. The queen mattress has been changed out and the unit was sprayed as well. We appreciate your feedback. We are happy you enjoyed the property and hope to see you again next year.

I don't think it could be any better than this!!!. Villa Coyaba is by far above all the rest in Destin. Parking is easy, and guaranteed. The condo was open, roomy and decorated beautifully with a breathtaking view morning and evening. The photos are accurate with content but you really can't appreciate it until you see it in person. The unit was perfect. We had a group of 10 and everyone had enough room to be comfortable. The grounds at Villa Coyaba are very clean, neat and well kept. We will certainly stay here again!!!!! Villa Coyaba is wonderfully tucked away off the busy highway and very near any attraction you desire. We certainly didn't want to leave!!!!!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
