The cabin was just what we wanted...modern with all the conveniences (dishwasher, microwave, plumbing, electricity, gas grill) yet picturesque, rustic-looking and with NO cell phone service (We had everyone's undivided attention the whole 3 days!) We needed one more bed and Rich was kind enough to get a blow-up mattress for us which worked great. We were afraid of making too much noise and Rich told us that wasn't a problem. One night we had wine on the deck and watched the millions of stars and even saw some shooting stars. We had our 3 adult children with us and a fiancee. The master bed was the best, but everyone else did OK. (youth!) The views were marvelous; the green grass, trees, creek, etc. surrounding the place were beautiful; the fireplace worked easily; and there were multiple comfortable places outside to sit and enjoy just being there. It would have been nice to have 2 bathrooms since there were so many of us, but sometimes you just have to rough it! Pat had tons of cute cabin-y decorations everywhere, including animal-skin rugs and a mountain lion hide. On Saturday night we ate in Cody and then went to Cassie's where they had a big dance floor, live band and country dancing. We all loved it...our kids were the youngest ones there, but they still fit in in that kind of a place. We would recommend this rental to anyone, esp. those with older kids. You can even rent the 'bunkhouse' if it is not already taken and then you'd have another couple of beds and another bathroom.

A Beautiful Cabin in a Perfect Setting

My husband and our 2 kids (7yrs.& 10yrs) stayed here, and we LOVED it!! The cabin was immaculate, and you feel like your home. It was decorated beautifully throughout. The Master Bedroom is huge, and the bed and bedding were sooooo comfy. The kids loved their room with the bunk beds, and the kitchen was fully stocked, there was nothing you needed that wasn't there. And what can I say about the setting...it was awesome! The deck by the creek with little tables and chairs, the creek side area where you can sit and build a fire, the waterfall, everything all around was pleasing to the eye, not to mention the petroglyphs across the road. We also loved the location, being that it is right between Cody, and the entrance to Yellowstone, so we were able to enjoy both places. You don't want to miss the Cody Rodeo, that was a lot of fun! When we come back to Wyoming we are definitely going to stay here again. A big thanks to the wonderful owners, they were the nicest people!

Home Away From Home

Our family used this cabin as our base for the Yellowstone Park area. We spent the first day in and around Cody, taking in the Stampeede Rodeo at night. The next three days were spent in Yellowstone and returning to the cabin at night felt like we were going home. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and charming. Our only regret is that we did not get enough time to just "hang out" here and our time there went way too fast. I definately would recommend this place to friends

We rented both cabins, with a couple and teenager in the main cabin and my parents (age around 70) in the bunkhouse. Both were above our expectations, and we enjoyed staying. The grounds are really beautiful, and the interiors are updated and well stocked & supplied. Kate is a great host, we enjoyed playing with her dog Cody. Everything was in working order, plenty of firewood, and tons of places to hang out on the grounds...down by the creek there is a fire pit with log seating, on the decks there's plenty of chairs. These are Wyoming cabins so expect snow in June, dress warmly and have warm clothes even for indoors sometimes. Great bathrooms & showers. There's nice hiking to be found just walking up the road into the national forest. We spent two solid 14 hour days in the park, then a day in Cody & a night at the rodeo. I highly recommend staying here. We cooked almost all meals, grilling out and eating in. Apologies to the robin who has built a nest in the doorway and who we disturbed constantly. The master bed in the main cabin is very comfy. Of note: there are no doors except the bathroom in the main cabin. There is a moveable divider for the master but not true privacy of a closing door. The bunkhouse, while very nice, is small and for a cozy couple. The bunkhouse has trappings of a kitchen but no fridge or way to make coffee etc. Suggest that on way thru Cody you stop at Albertsons for all of your groceries. There is a gas station 1 mile from the cabins with the bare minimums to make it thru a breakfast or lunch. We left some hot dogs in the freezer by the way. Otherwise, also suggest you hit Cody Meat Company for some local good beef and other meats. I have many pics, just need to find a way to share. Enjoy!
