The Loft at Woodville Ranch is a charming, family friendly, vacation rental on a 10 acre horse ranch in rural West Marin County, California. Located in Dogtown on scenic Highway One between Stinson Beach and Point Reyes National Seashore, the Loft is a perfect "base camp" for your outdoor activities. The surrounding park lands are famous for wildlife viewing and bird watching. We have seen 104 bird species right here at the Ranch! Or just stay cozy and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Children of all ages very welcome! We have a safety gate on the staircase. Our horses are sweet and enjoy attention and carrots.
We have a video library with movies suitable for families and some classics as well. Feel free to bring your own videos and DVD's.
Peet's whole bean coffee provided for you to grind and brew. Deneen pottery collector mugs with the Woodville Ranch logo are available for sale.
You may shop locally for certified organic produce, meat and fish from the local waters. If you prefer to eat out, there are acclaimed restaurants nearby. The nearby communities have numerous art galleries, museums, concerts, live music and theater.
Come and enjoy our unique coastal towns and parks with year round mild weather and beautiful scenery!
Our chickens are polite and Woody, our rooster, is a gentleman with a lovely singing voice. Fresh eggs are available.
We are "smoke free" and no pets are accepted. However, there are two nice dog boarding facilities in nearby Bolinas. Call us for details.

Three night minimum on holiday weekends.

Why the Owner Chose Bolinas
We moved to Dogtown because of its location next to hiking and riding trails of the Point Reyes Seashore and Golden Gate National Recreation Area as well as the local community cultures. This is our home as well as our vacation rental, and we enjoy sharing the Loft with travelers who appreciate the natural wonders of the region.
The Unique Benefits at this Barn
Our ranch offers peace, privacy and pastoral views, and a country atmosphere and yet is only 45 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge. Local communities have acclaimed restaurants and organic farmer's markets, grocery stores, shops, museums, health care, libraries, state of the art emergency services, independent book stores, local radio (KWMR) and numerous events featuring dance, live music, drama and film. In addition there are classes in yoga, pilates, dance, horseback riding, surfing and art. There is always something to do, or you can choose to do nothing and just relax!
Woodville Ranch is a 10 acre private Arabian horse ranch in historic Dogtown, California. The ranch offers a vacation rental in the Loft of the barn.

Your hosts, Anne and Russ, have lived at Woodville Ranch in Dogtown since 1992. We are active community volunteers and also work as fund raising consultants for local non-profits. Anne trains and conditions our Arabian horses for long distance endurance rides, and Russ enjoys riding his motorcycle and working in the gardens and writing.
We enjoy helping our guests by recommending hiking trails, beaches, restaurants, grocery stores and other amenities of West Marin. Come stay on our peaceful ranch and enjoy the natural beauty of the Point Reyes National Seashore!
